I think I would've been all over typoman a year ago, but I just can't muster much excitement for it at this point. There's a constant flood of great titles getting physical releases in the $30-40 range, and for me, this is a $20 budget title :/

Does anyone know if we're getting anything else this month? Two Fridays left... I assume if they announce anything it'll be for the 27th.

You made good points, so I decided I didn't need Typoman either. LRG becoming a Steam Wishlist builder for me these days.

Drat slept in, didn't realize there was only one batch of the PAX releases.

Ah well, didn't really need it anyways.

Got what a wanted with the PAX variants thankfully. Still half the copies of Senko LE left, it'll be interesting to see if it's another PS4 LE that struggles to quickly sell out.

At $69.99 I would probably have gone for the Senko no ronde 2 CE but $50 extra for something that is very focused on the characters, world and art of Senko no ronde I just couldn't justify it. I liked the gameplay in Wartech and DUO but the story was downright bad and while the art and characters were all right it still wasn't something I really cared about. Super fun and unique games though and I really can't wait to play my copy. Absolutely worth full retail price.

I'm taking Typoman so that I can resell my Indiebox of the same game.
I'm slowly trading up ^^

Thimbleweed Switch is at 9200 units sold a few hours before preorders close

It really is. I feel like the print run is way too high for a CE at this price point, but we'll see.

As a hardcore LE collector, regardless of contents, it really is amazing what the expectations of LE contents/pricing is to people. People usually complain that the artbook isnt big enough... this one comes with a full sized one, but now too expensive (full artbooks run for $30-40 from Udon).

It's just something that will NEVER satisfy everyone, because what one person wants/expects to be in it, will never work for others, nor will it every really be good/cheap enough. We had a time where we barely got LEs, let alone physical copies, but I guess we've just been spoiled on it...

I blame it on NISA and XSEED. They serve limited editions for an additional ten or twenty dollars and it comes with all the right stuff. I'm lucky that NISA started with the gross 100USD limited editions just when they stopped publishing Vita titles.

I'm guessing the costs have gone up for NISA. Over time, their free shipping also changed from $59-75, so they were definitely losing money there (which sucks for us). XSEED have been... thin on releases, especially physical ones with LEs, or some releases just going LE-only, with maybe an SE later on if successful.

Things and costs change. We were lucky to get them cheaply, but it's not always the case. The upward trend now for PS4/Switch LEs now run around the $100+ mark, now. NISA still has cheaper LEs, but mostly on games that are under $60 as an SE, and have the more basic box, sample CD, small artbook.

I saw Jotun is coming to the Switch, it'd be nice if it got a physical release like the PS4 version.

Please don't get me wrong, I love the CEs we're getting. I almost never buy a CE for a normal "mass market" game but from LRG, I bought them all so far. :)
I also appreciate the artbook and I am NOT saying "uh, the whole package's too pricey". I'm saying that 100$ is a lot of money and 2000 copies is a pretty high bar for an item priced like this, although it may probably well worth it (for some, not for others).

Just in case...

If anyone bought Skullgirls and didn't get it, etc. please feel free to send me a PM and I'll try to help you out.

I expect everyone here to be on top of things, but a few people on FB were complaining about not getting theirs and bad customer service... and in all cases they didn't check their e-mails to provide the necessary reshipment info LRG requested.

Did international shipping drop since I lost bought a game or am I just crazy? Could have sworn it used to be $15 and now it's only $10.

Nice surprise if so, and happy the PAX variants went back up. Bought my first game since N++ to finally ship my hold order.

Got Senko No Ronde 2 (standard edition).

I hesitated between the 2 cover variants of Senko No Ronde 2, but my decision was made easier when the pax variant ran out of stock, lol.

WIth a half hour to go I decided to go in for the Thimbleweed Park Switch pre-order. I hope I don't regret it, never played the game but am attracted to buying "THE 1ST SWITCH LR!"

I also got Senko 2 for PS4, but I hate the Pax cover so went for the standard cover.

Where are you from? I'm in Europe (Portugal) and still paid the usual $15...

He said a couple days ago that he hadn't made a penny from the digital release so far.
Would be nice for him to get a little boost.

Polybius is one of the best VR experiences on PSVR and Minter has been putting out good games for a long time. I know LRG said they were done with "Developer Editions", but in light of recent news a Polybius Dev Edition would make sense imo (or at least a lot more sense than with Mecho Tales …)

Please, no more "developer's edition". Just buy multiple copies of the game you love or ask the developer for their PayPal account.

I would've been more accepting of Developer's Edition if the first game to have it wasn't Mecho Tales

Since I was writing an article on the subject recently I thought I might as well ask - LimitedRunGames, anything new happening with the Sekai Project partnership that was supposed to get us 3 games (Fault Milestone One/Narcissu/World End Economica) in 2017? Since it's April 2018 now and all.

iirc Mighty Rabbit was involved in the porting of Fault.

Us PC Kickstarters are still waiting on that portion of our rewards soooo yeah it'll be a bit for console. WEE especially is still working on the 3 HD versions of the game, too.

why are people still upset over Mecho Tales months later when it was just yet another game with nothing really bad or good behind it. IMO, it was just as minor as risk of rain. Surely the extra slipcover isn't that upsetting these months later? People here act like it's the worst game LRG ever released when there are a lot more that aren't that good.

I'm just waiting on Rabi-Ribi or Silme San before I buy. Money's been tight lately

Risk of Rain was actually a known game amongst PC gamers... there was even a time it was talked about on podcasts like Giant Bomb, and sold pretty well (sequel is coming and looks great). I wouldn't put Mecho Tales in the same category whatsoever.

To put things in perspective. Risk of Rain has over 15,000 reviews on Steam. Mecho Tales doesn't have a single review on Meta Critic (its available on four platforms), or even one user review on Steam. I wouldn't be surprised if Mecho Tales sold more via Limited Run than it has anywhere else.

:edit: I linked the wrong video of Risk of Rain 2, hopefully that's fixed now.

As much as I respect what Arcade Distillery are doing in their support for the Vita and their commitment to physical products, Mecho Tales is the only game in the entire LRG library that I honestly feel is just plain bad.

Luc Bernard was nicely handing out digital keys when Mecho Tales was sold on LRG and I got a Switch copy. I played through the whole thing, but just didn't enjoy it much at all. I've kept my Vita and PS4 versions sealed, which is something I very rarely do with games I buy.

Someone is not serious, comparing Mecho Tales and Risk of Rain :p

I'm interested by an update on Sekai project games. There are also a bunch of MIA Kickstarter games.

Sekai Project will probably tell you to wait till PSX for news.

And then all they do is announce a VR game. ;P
