It's a value engine. You can easily get 3+ spells off it. I dunno how good it is having only come across it once, but in the tournament match I saw they got... so many shaman spells including hex and earthshock so it made beating warlock pretty easy where without it warlock dominates that match up.

Too bad that Tanaris Hogrider and Leatherclad Hogleader rotated out of standard as cards that were Battlecry: Gain charge if opponent has taunt or more than 6 cards in hand. You would have been able to complete the full set of keywords to give to your Shudderwock in the corpsetaker list.

I guess you could give it Rush with some dragons.

For wild you can add Armored Warhorse to that list as a card that gains charge if you win a joust.

I went ahead and crafted a few things, shaman next but two spitefuls, the other wizard guy in spiteful decks, an amalgam epic thing, an obsidian statue, and probably some other thing but it seems worth it. Spiteful Druid didn't work out my first game but lady in spite was better. Threw in Harrison for,card draw.

I remember when the community wanted "Battlecry: Charge" on Patches post nerf. Pity that did not happen, as it would have made Wild very crazy right now, as all of the other "Battlecry: Charge" effects are a bit situational.

That was happening a ton last expansion, but I haven't seen it much since the new one. It's probably just people being angry and trolling like usual.

And since someone brought it up before, I don't think it's the "hard decision" type of ropes -- I'm talking people who spend all of their mana, have no 0-mana cards, and sit there (optionally emoting) until the last second of the rope every turn.

Alright, done for the day. Finished at 11-5 with Corpsetaker Shaman. Hit a rough string of Warlocks and dropped 4 games to them which is frustrating but what can you do.

Papercuts, that warrior list you were running looked amazing. THAT is what I was talking about on Discord. If I were to ever play War, I'd wanna play that. No Grom or Crowley though. Lol

How you doing with Shaman? I'm having a hard time with just elementals. Loss of MP, JC, and JL really hurts. I want to try murlocs, but what's the point...it just dies to Lock. Lol

Non-otk Shudder is pretty good? Have you tried evens yet?

Yeah, Warlock is what it is, you kind of just have to take your loss and move on. On the bright side it definitely seems like that class will be seeing a nerf within the next couple months.

As far as Shaman itself, I've only payed the OTK Shudder variant and the Corpsetaker variant. Not a fan of the OTK one, I think it's pretty mediocre honestly. Corpsetaker list seems like it has real potential but I need to play it more. I didn't play against much aggro with it so I need to test it more against those decks but I was absolutely dumpstering Rogues and Mages. Warlock is the most unfavored matchup I've played so far but if you get lucky you can still pull it off. A few of my losses tonight actually ended up being close before the Warlock came back with their bullshit stuff.

I haven't tried even Shaman yet but I've heard it's pretty good. I might give it a go tomorrow and see how it works out. Murlocs is probably a little better thanks to the Echo card but I'd still guess it's still super lackluster. Aggro can probably get ahead of you before you establish anything and Warlock isn't going to care really.

Overall though I think Corpsetaker, and if the hype is real, even Shaman are the frontrunner decks for the class right now. Obviously the meta is still falling into place though.

I wanna make a tess deck but my hardest thing are board clears/getting rushed down

Really liking what I'm seeing out of Thief Priest + Spire Warrior.

Really want the Spire deck but it'll cost me 7300 dust to make everything =T


It's funny how I still play a ton of Dungeon Runs to this day. It's a lot of fun playing with weird decks and stomping the AI. Hoping they update it sometime soon.

I went 7-9 which is sadly a much better winrate than most other versions, not to mention I think 3-4 of the losses had the other player at 3 HP or less. I'm not sure if Acherus Veteran ever played much of a factor other than its having 2 attack, but it's probably good. My next and probably final change is to try 15 games swapping Geddon for Leeroy, even though I'm not sure if Leeroy would have changed any of my last 16 games, and he probably won at least one of them for me.

So when I went to arena to get my shit from my retired run....i didn't get it. Has there been any word on this.

As for Hearthstone talk, man this is the most I've been into the game during a new expansion launch. It's been a lot of fun just experimenting. Normally I'm super stingy with my dust at the start, but I was a lot more liberal with it this time and have really been enjoying it.

Baleful Banker, dark possession, and Zola have been super fun in cubelock and it's getting me a lot of wins.

Did you only have 2 losses in your arena run? Or did you retire it/have 3 losses? It doesn't work if it's the latter

I'm currently abusing the ladder with Baku Paladin (12-2 tonight, both loses to other Baku Paladins) , but I hope the meta and/or nerfs slow this deck down. I want to try other decks but there's no point when the wins are coming so easy.
