Is there any way to dim the light on the console itself? I do not know if it is because the console is black again (my S was white) or it is just brighter, but the White XBox light on the front of the console seems much brighter than before.
My Scorpio edition is fucked.
I have a Sony 850D. The S worked perfectly in 4K HDR on it.
This won't even let me select 4K. It sees the TV as 1080p. FUCK
are you using the same hdmi port? on some of those sony tvs, i've seen people say they had to reboot the tv after turning on enhanced mode for it to start working on 4k capabale devices.

Using the new HDMI cable that came w/ the system?
Same thing happened to me when I bought an XB1S took me an hour to figure out it wasn't my TV or the console but the cable in my AV setup just did not play nice.
Same port, swapped cables, rebooted TV. Nothing.
S still works perfect. X isn't working at all.
Support is run by idiots. Says they can't troubleshoot the TV so I'm fucked.
AC Origins looks significantly improved on my TV over a standard Xbox. Its just so damn clear. Played a few minutes of Gears 4 and that looked a lot better to. Finally I played some Forza 7 but I did not play that on the OG so I have no point of comparison there, other than that its stunning. Seems well worth it to me if you've got a 1080p set.
Try using different hdmi cords, switching ports, checking your TV's menu and switching between settings for the input you're using, completely unplugging the television [and X, cause why not]...
You know.. fiddlin'!
[seriously, this sounds 100% fixable via fiddlin']
Yikes. For some reason my Xbox is downloading at kilobytes a second. I should be getting at least 100 Mb/s. Anyone know why?
Same thing has been happening to me on and off all night. Doesn't make sense since I'm on a hardwire 300mb connection. The download speed is extremely erratic, going from 5mb to 225mbs. My OG did not do that.
I did all that. Again the S is still working perfectly. The X won't even detect 4K
It recognized my external for my restore from backup. But now it won't recognize the same damn external that has all my games on it....
Anyone else experiencing this? The light comes on the external and I can feel it moving. Tried a hard reset...

That isn't the correct stand; this one is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075KXL7N5/?tag=era0f0-20
Can anyone with the Scorpio Edition tell me whether the included vertical stand seems to allow any airflow through that side of the console? The reason I ask is because the aforementioned stand that I ordered for the regular edition hasn't shipped yet, and I still kind of want to stand it up on its side to play it in the meantime. I'm curious as to whether just standing the console on its side blocks airflow anymore than the vertical stand in general would.
I got Dolby Atmos for Headphones all set up. I swear I can tell the difference!
Damn those LE's seriously jealous.

The HDMI cable that came with my S was also faulty.. wouldn't work if you set HDR or if you set 7.1 audio. Changed the cable and all was good.Using the new HDMI cable that came w/ the system?

Dumb question but do you have an external HDD or something plugged in? Try setting it up without any controllers, external HDD, etc plugged in and see if it updates. That was an odd issue with the OG Xbox too. Sounds dumb but I fixed a bad update that way with mine in pastWelp, looks like my One X is a broken lemon
Keeps crashing during initial update and now the system wont even turn on. It powers on but nothing happens.
Nope, nothing like that.Dumb question but do you have an external HDD or something plugged in? Try setting it up without any controllers, external HDD, etc plugged in and see if it updates. That was an odd issue with the OG Xbox too. Sounds dumb but I fixed a bad update that way with mine in past
Try ACO or Quantum Break if you haven't...both are stunning. ACO in particular feels like a totally different game that what I played on OG XB1 last night. And QB is just gorgeousJust got done trying out Gears 4, lawd have mercy...it almost feels and plays like a different game. Both visual/performance mode look absolutely beautiful on a 1080p tv. I can only imagine how this looks on a 4K set.
Outstanding update, I have an Xbox one s as a back up console but after experience this thing....I can't go back. Hoping I can test out Halo and one more game before I call it a night.
Try redoing your TV setup and make sure you're using the right hdmi cable and that your input is set correctly.
Welp, looks like my One X is a broken lemon

Mine was having issues; I powered it down, waited 30 seconds, then powered it up and reconnected it. Has been fine ever since.

Yeah, you can tell that it won't fit by looking at the way it connects to the system. In the questions for the incorrect stand, someone even mentions that it doesn't fit the Xbox One X. It's a shame that Microsoft didn't just keep the stands the same between the two. That's weird, considering the seller has Xbox one x all over the description...
