Nah, it seems more likely they have Talbots son... again. If so that makes 2 times Hydra's taken him.

Suppose it's also possible they're mind controlling his wife too, but the tear and the approving glance at the Hydra goon make it seem more likely it's the son they've got.
I just assumed that Talbot's wife really does think he's in some psychiatric ward or something, and she thinks she's actually helping him. I could be way off base though.

Probably a plot hole, but could be explained that she cant have big exertions on her body but little ones here and there are fine. It also puts a storyline limit on her powers, which is needed as she is kinda OP, and a lot of the problems SHIELD have could easily be solved with her at full power.

As the Hydra robots were about to come in Fitz did mention he didn't have time to adjust the arms before they broke in, so presumably they'll fix the problem with Yoyo's arms soon

While anything's possible, that doesn't explain why she didn't have tears running down her face before reading from the card, and she did while reading from the card and getting approval from the Hydra goon. I'm still going with the theory they got Talbot's son hostage again. In a season full of callbacks, that would just be another one for them to make mention of :)

Jesus Chriiiiiiiist I am so tired of the villains being inexplicably twelve steps ahead. Can they not just catch a break?

I like how they painted the SHIELD bunker hallway tan and replaced one of the control panels with a firehose case.

This show is low budget as fuck. Still dope, though.

I have a feeling that Hydra Super Villain Fitz is going to rear his ugly head and catch Hydra off guard. Give em a taste of their own medicine as it were.

Good episode. Talbot's phone call at the end was a kick in the guts.

So what's going to happen to Coulson? Will they have the cojones to kill him off or will there be a loophole like him becoming Ghost Rider to cheat death?

For those who missed it last night due to the giant cheeto trying to start a war, you can watch yesterday's episode on ABC's site provided you have an account with a TV provider (Comcast, AT&T, DirecTV, Dish, etc). Only good for a week though.

http://abc.go.com/shows/marvels-agents-of-shield/episode-guide/season-05/17-the-honeymoon

Because of that, the ratings were terrible. Make sure to watch it online today too so as to bump up the +3/+7

Man, the minute Talbot asked to make a call I was sure he had turned traitor. The fact he's an unwilling sleeper is actually a relief.

Fitz slowly releasing that, if they're immortal, the future is set in stone and the apocalypse can't be averted is darkly hilarious.

Cool that the weird power up tube is essentially the chamber they used to make Cap.

season finale is in May, right? I can't put down the show when I'm binging it but I don't like watching it once a week.
I thought I would stop for a bit after finishing S4 last week but I couldn't, lol. It's hard to stop, but I have to.

Can I say though that Kasius and Sinara are fucking great? Good choice after Aida.

I wonder if Fitz and Jemma will let themselves die to prevent the chamber from being rebuilt?

Also called Talbot being a traitor.
For a space scoundrel Deek kinda of sucks. He just looks lost all the time, instead of the dude that does anything to survive
This. At the beginning of the season he was a scrapper. A rogue. Someone who played everyone and used everything to get what he wanted, but he wasn't super smart. Just smart enough and he could improvise really well.

Now he's just...whatever. What are they gonna do with him? Kill him? Send him back?

So apparently the Superior we saw in this episode was an LMD with Ivanov's real head attached to it, which means he's gone for real now.
Didn't really get this from the episode, but someone from the crew confirmed this on Twitter.

The callback to Fitz not being able jump out of the Bus after Simmons from season 1 was cute.

I kinda hope they knowingly brought a brainwashed Talbot with them to the Lighthouse. Considering they've dealt with Hydra for so many years and have seen how the brainwashing works.

I thought it was pretty obvious by the blood under his head.

Maybe "let Coulson die" means when he gets captured again they let him get tested on in the chamber Fitz and Simmons fix.

Confirmed: Jed Whedon is directing the season finale. The last episode he directed (and only) was last year's "Self Control," the best episode of the series.

I didn't get that at all either. The show did a horrible, very un-Shield like, job of explaining that to the viewers.

I thought it was pretty obvious by the blood under his head.

All of the LMD's bleed fake blood to help make them more closely resemble humans. That by itself proves little to nothing.

-He says he's only part machine, like YoYo
-Mentions needing to become a superior human.
-He was actually attempting to avoid YoYo. LMDs just tank the hits because they're physically superior
-There's a moment where YoYo hits him and she seems to know it's not just another LMD. The way he reacts and dodges her.
-All of the LMDs, which were connected specifically to him, shut down.

If he was responsible for controlling literally every robot in the army and we find every last one inoperable next episode, I guess that'll cement it that he's actually dead. But yeah, I had no idea either.

yeah if that's what happened it was very poorly conveyed, especially considering last thing we heard was that Hale literally had his head in a jar

I also didn't think it was the real Superior. I thought it was another LMD but I guess they did mention how his LMDs weren't as lifelike so it'd be weird if he could make pretty faced LMDs but only for himself.

Why does Yo-Yo have problem with her arms this week? Everything was alright last week when she moved fast to put Mack in the cell.

Probably a plot hole, but could be explained that she cant have big exertions on her body but little ones here and there are fine. It also puts a storyline limit on her powers, which is needed as she is kinda OP, and a lot of the problems SHIELD have could easily be solved with her at full power.

She did misfire a gun and thought it was just because of lack of training

Damn did they really kill Ivanov just like that? Never would have thought that this was the "real" one

I love how, at every encounter with the heroes, Ivanov was played as a complete non-entity. Like no one gave a shit about this guy and he dies in a completely unremarkable way without us realizing it was the real one until well after the fact.
