Colon was dealing. Nice job by him.

Don't know what a rod was talking about Astros crushing right handed pitching but struggling against lefties. They did pretty well again both last year.

The fuck is a rod taking about? Putting the bunt back in play, it's 2 outs with McCann at the plate.

I thought a rod was supposed to be super genius baseball guy.

Astros losing almost makes up for the terrible showing the Mariners had today.

Of course they will destroy us next, but whatever

He needs to win a championship but he's easily one of the most talented players to ever play the game.

Chase Headley took Jackie Robinson Day a little too seriously

So does Trout belong in the early/young Michael Jordan/Wayne Gretzky tier yet? If not there already, he's gotta be getting close, yeah?

Frozenprince ESPN has the Mets at 4th in their power rankings but here's what they had to say:

"The Mets continued their hot start, becoming the 22nd team in the World Series era (since 1903) to start 11-1 or better. Will that start yield postseason success? Of the 21 teams to start 11-1 or better through 12 games before this season, only eight made the postseason, and only three of those won the World Series: the 1955 Dodgers, 1966 Orioles and 1984 Tigers. Of the teams to start that hot in the past 30 seasons, none has even won a playoff series."

LOL no comment on the multitude of reasons why they're doing well or how they're really not firing on all cylinders yet...only "hey, it's actually a bad thing to start the season well"

So does Trout belong in the early/young Michael Jordan/Wayne Gretzky tier yet? If not there already, he's gotta be getting close, yeah?

They each won multiple championships though (4 or more) which is the one thing that will hurt him when compared to MJ or Gretzky

Wait, what? The Red Sox (#1) and Angels (#3) are off to a similar hot start and they didn't mention those stats for them.

It won't hurt him because nobody will make that comparison. Baseball is a sport that's a lot more insular and stat-driven in a way people tend to largely compared baseball stars against other baseball stars and not stars from other sports.

Trout doesn't have even close to the level of fame that any of those guys did, even if he's as dominant in the sport.

"Going 12-2 is actually like, a bad thing" except when we went 13-3 in 2015 and made the world series in large part because that 10 game streak kept us afloat all summer long.

Other than that though, like, who wants to "win" surely, not I.

3 more years of this and he's on Barry's heels.

This is what they had to say about the Nats, who are 7-9:

"Max Scherzer said in the spring that he doesn't think he has reached his peak yet, which was quite the statement from a pitcher who won the 2016 National League Cy Young Award with an impressive season, then posted an ERA almost half a run lower and WAR almost a full win higher in 2017 to win it in a second consecutive season. In his past three starts, Scherzer has posted the three highest miss rates on his fastball at any point since the start of 2017. Maybe he has a point."

They're 7-9 and Scherzer / Strasburg have started half their games. Nice job focusing on how awesome Scherzer is.

I was legit confused at the unnecessary shade they threw at us when I read that this morning...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ESPN probably thinks that the conference of the super bowl winner in an election year determines which candidate will win the presidential election.

The only Astros to ever home run off of Big Sexy are Carlos Correa, Josh Reddick, and AJ Hinch?

They legit have NFL draft shit all over the front page right now like the NBA playoffs aren't in full swing and baseball season despite all the weather postponements is the most entertaining it's been in April in ages.
I need a fastest to 50-60 WAR chart from fangraphs or baseball reference. Trout has got to be tops on the list.
The Kid edges him out but only barely.

Sounds like the Jays game isn't happening tonight. Deadly ice falling from the cn tower. Double header tomorrow at the dome. Waiting for final confirmation.

We don't need another disaster since there will be one over at the ACC.

It's been confirmed.

This is only the second time a Jays' game has been postponed at the Dome and funnily enough the first time was against the Royals also.

Fuck the NHL.
The Yankees Marlins game is blacked out for me on MLB.tv and fox sports florida is showing dumbass hockey playoffs instead of the Marlins game.
