It's certainly not bad.
Nice. This could be cool. Big fan of William Gibson's novels, and having Vincenzo Natali attached to direct is great. Cautiously optimistic.Haven't seen this being posted yet.
'Westworld' Creators Set Futuristic Drama Series 'The Peripheral' at Amazon
Didn't see it mentioned, so I thought I'd toss it up! The Goldbergs spinoff got a 13-episode order.

i watch though :(
You're not watching hard enough!
Brooklyn Nine-Nine getting cancelled would be far from a tragedy, and I say that as a fan of the show. 5 seasons at 22+ episodes per season is a LOT for any TV show.
I'd be fine with every show ending after five seasons. That's plenty.
Variety with a look at The Walking Dead ratings for S8 and the finale. Numbers are down again, but they're still higher than just about everything else out there.
I doubt it - B99 would be heading into its 6th season and would be more expensive to produce than ever (unlike The Mindy Project, which was still relatively young).

It deserves to be renewed for a final season to get a proper ending.
Big drop, but expected and deserved. I wonder how ratings would've ended up if they didn't stretch Negan's storyline to the extreme.Variety with a look at The Walking Dead ratings for S8 and the finale. Numbers are down again, but they're still higher than just about everything else out there.
Tuesday night's ratings. I'm guessing ABC was testing out Alex, Inc. on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays? It looks like it failed that test. Lol:
For The People? More like For What People!Wow. For the People is not looking too hot. I guess it will finish its season and probably not return with those numbers.
Lol I expect that to be the thread title when it gets cancelledFor The People? More like For What People!
I'll be here all day!
Busy Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes is joining with Netflix and London- and LA-based 42 on a new series about the invention of modern football (soccer). The news emerged at Netflix's See What's Next event in Rome on Wednesday morning and was among a host of new projects announced.
Netflix VP of International Originals Erik Barmack said the football project (aka The English Game) will be penned by Fellowes and examine how the game reached across class divides to create the world's most popular sport.
Also new, German series The Wave will be based on the 2008 box office hit Die Welle. The original film was directed by Dennis Gansel and grossed about $24M locally. It centered on a high school teacher's experiment to demonstrate to his students what life is like under a dictatorship that spins horribly out of control when he forms a social unit with a life of its own. Sony Pictures Television Germany is among the producing partners.
Among other new projects is Netflix's first original from the Netherlands. Set in Amsterdam and eyed for 2019, the story focuses on Dutch students "who have it all" and "open a portal to a demonic world from the Dutch golden age," Barmack explained before adding, "I hate it when that happens." Pupkin Film is producing.
In France, Netflix is prepping Mortel, from creator Frédéric Garcia. It's the story of teenagers bound together by a supernatural force. From Italy, period series Luna Nera, about women suspected of witchcraft, will be produced with Fandango.
Barmack also said that Thomas Vincent (Marseille, The Tunnel) will direct the first two episodes of its French original, Osmosis. The sci-fi romance drama hails from the folks behind The Revenants and Versailles.
Yep. The episode was great. Having David and Beverly show up for the first time in the same episode is almost unfair to other shows.Roseanne killing everything. Happy for their cast and crew who are not named Roseanne.
Syfy has picked up to series Deadly Class, based on the critically acclaimed Image Comics graphic novel by Rick Remender and Wes Craig, from The Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Sony Pictures TV and Universal Cable Productions.
Adapted for television by Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott, Deadly Class is described as a coming of age journey full of ancient mystery and teen angst. Set in a dark, comic book world against the backdrop of late 80s counter culture, it follows a homeless teen recruited into a storied elite private school where the world's top crime families send their next generations. Maintaining his moral code while surviving a ruthless curriculum, vicious social cliques and his own adolescent uncertainties soon proves to be vital.
Benedict Wong, Benjamin Wadsworth, Lana Condor, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Luke Tennie, Liam James and Michel Duval star.
Remender and Feldsott executive produce with Joe Russo, Anthony Russo and Mike Larocca (Spy). Adam Targum (Banshee) from Chipmunk Hill also served as executive producer on the pilot, along with Lee Toland Krieger (The Age of Adaline), who also directed.
"We're committed to developing graphic novels for SYFY and have found a rich, compelling, truly unique world in Deadly Class," said Bill McGoldrick, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. "Our producing partners expertly combined high school angst, 80s nostalgia and comic flair into a beautifully realized, visually arresting pilot that truly brings Rick and Wes' acclaimed comic series to life."
The Deadly Class pickup follows the recently announced series order for space thriller Nightflyers, based on author George R.R. Martin's novella, and the successful recent series launches of Krypton, which premiered to more than 2.6 million viewers, and Happy!, the twisted adaptation of Grant Morrison's graphic novel, starring Christopher Meloni and Patton Oswalt.
There is no decision yet on Syfy's other two pilots, Tremors and Run For Your Life.
YES!
CBS has renewed eleven returning series for 2018-2019, including its entire Friday lineup of dramas MacGyver, Hawaii Five-O and Blue Bloods, along with Bull, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Los Angeles and Madam Secretary, two reality series Survivor and The Amazing Race, and news programs 60 Minutes and 48 Hours. All seven scripted series whose renewal was announced today hail from CBS sibling CBS TV Studios.
They join previously announced The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Mom, NCIS, SEAL Team, and S.W.A.T. for a total of 17 shows
missing from the list? Veteran drama Criminal Minds, freshman Instinct, comedy Life In Pieces, CBS' entire Monday lineup, including comedies Kevin Can Wait, Man with a Plan and Superior Donuts and drama Scorpion.
Cinemax has given a straight-to-series order to drama Jett, from Snakes on a Plane and Gothika scribe Sebastian Gutierrez, with Carla Gugino attached to star and executive produce.
Written by Gutierrez, in Jett, fresh out of prison, world-class thief Daisy "Jett" Kowalski (Gugino) is forced back into doing what she does best by dangerous and eccentric criminals determined to exploit her skills for their own ends.
Gugino's Daisy "Jett" Kowalski is an intensely practical and self-reliant thief, an unsentimental woman of action. With the birth of her daughter, Jett planned to put her career in crime behind her, only to find herself drawn into doing one last job.
Jett is produced by Global Road Entertainment for Cinemax. Gutierrez executive produces and directs. Mark Stern, Stuart Ford and Dana Brunetti also executive produce. Stacey Levin is co-executive producer. Kathy Landsberg is line producer.
Jett is part of Cinemax's recallibrated strategy as a destination for fun, mostly action-packed, original programming. It joins co-productions Strike Back, Rellik and C.B. Strike as well as Warrior, the first homegrown tentpole drama for the new Cinemax.
Lol at that drop off from Roseanne to Alex, Inc.
It's kind of funny to imagine 9 million people just immediately changing the channel once that comes on. I like Zach Braff too but that show just looks really corny.
Wow, that's a lot of cliches. But good on Cinemax for... not giving up yet?
Deadline pls, two out of four in that list are not "fun" and "mostly action packed". Can we just admit to it being a destination for cheap imports + whatever the fuck they can scramble together.Cinemax's recallibrated strategy as a destination for fun, mostly action-packed, original programming. Yay, good on them.Sundance Now has greenlighted a second season of This Close, its relationship dramedy created, written by and starring Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman. Production on the eight-episode season for AMC Networks' premium SVOD serivce will begin this summer in Los Angeles.
Why, it does well even on Friday and stayed perfectly level despite losing 2 of its core cast.
Thankfully, the show had it's best ratings in years thanks to the Thursdsy slot. It helped that the season was one of the best in a while.
Yep. Season 1 didn't end the way it should have and season 2 was an unmitigated disaster. 3 was a bit better, because they spent the whole season trying to course correct, but it was still a mess. 4 was good though, and 5-7, while still solid, have had their ups and downs.
should cancel Supergirl just so the main actress won't have a job
Yeah, CBS's hesitance with it lately had me so worried the last few seasons(especially when CBS sat on a filmed season nearly a full year without airing one)Thankfully, the show had it's best ratings in years thanks to the Thursdsy slot. It helped that the season was one of the best in a while.
I can't really speak for anything after S1&2 myself, i disliked 2 so much I made it like an episode or 2 into S3 and had just lost motivation to continue it atm.et tu Brutus?
man, I thought it still had at least a few good years in it, if its just the first, fuck it :/
