I personally don't expect Gambi to make it out of the season alive.
Gambi is the hand-wavy tech guy. It'll be the ex-wife. I thought it would be the cop, but he was completely absent this episode.
If they do Static next season, they can replace Gambi with Gear.

My logic to it is in the last episode he had that line that he was more expendable than Anissa or Jefferson which is why he could risk his life.

So I finally caught up with last week's episode:
- Syonide doesn't seem to be based off any of the comic versions, but she absolutely had something underneath her skin. (visible here: https://youtu.be/DoLIjboUWPI?t=2m21s) Looks green, so I have no idea what it was meant to be unless someone forgot to key it out and replace with CG.
- Tobias having control over Lala doesn't make much sense, but I'm going to bet he was a Lady Eve experiment that Tobias found the code word for.
- Khalil is real dumb.
- Gambi is far too competent. I'm betting them showing Anissa using the computers is a sign that she'll be some of the tech next season and Gambi dies. Which makes me sad.
Watched the latest finally.
What a quick episode, like a lot of stuff just kinda happened instantly lol. Them going straight to the school was nuts. Kahlil returning with bad fake dreds was fun. In general though thought it was fun. Watching Jen struggle to get her powers working was interesting too. Next week is last right?
My hopes for S2 is, better budget/training for the actors fight scenes, though I bet this is a common WB hero show thing. Thunder's are better than the rest but she still looks slow / too rehearsed or maybe reserved? Like you can feel the actor nodding to the person for the next punch to be thrown lol. Still though hers are more interesting. Also the suits need some work. BL's is massively cheesy. Maybe tone it down just a smidgen. Both his and Thunder though suffer from those glasses-mask things. The middle section on them both is just entirely too thick. Makes them seem cockeyed on close ups.

This is such a great show that I am curious as to how they will handle season 2. One thing for sure is we are about to get a shit ton of meta humans.

WAIT WAIT WAIT wow umm if that spoiler is right we are gonna get some wild shit next season cause I can see this fight escalating to make an event that happens in a certain characters comics happen in the crossfire of the fight.

Its I can see this fight between Black lightning and the ASA making and explosion of new characters.
This is how predict things will go down, and season 2 will basically be static shock season one. metahumans/bang babies/green light babies running around. Some good and some evil.

Riddick (Pitch Black) reference. The lore of that universe says that Furyan newborns were strangle with their own umbilical cords and left to die when their planet was attacked (mainly because they're extremely talented for combat). Riddick (Vin Diesel's character) is one of the kids that survived.
She has body armor implanted under skin, drove her insane.
