Are there any hits where to find the DLC content?
Did touch the game since March.

hidden dreams
has two new bosses. can be found near dung defender and in bretta's basement (if you saved bretta and zote). also a new stagway behind the white palace.

grimm troupe
can be started in a new breakable wall in the open area with the dream tree in howling cliffs. there is also a new difficult platforming area in the white palace.

Just got the game (it's 34% off and the sale has less than a day to go). Played for 1-2 hours, just got the
thing that lets you shoot a horizontal projectile by using Soul.

So far I really like it. The art and music is nice and it seems that the combat is going to get quite intricate, which I'm excited for thanks to not seeing a sophisticated combat system in a long time (last I played with a detailed inventory/weapon mechanic was Aria of Sorrow, though obviously not on release).

Got the game during the Steam sale and enjoying it immensely so far. About 8.5 hours in and I've just found the
Dream Nail, and also beat Xero.

The additional movement abilities like
dash and wall jump
have really opened up exploration and it's a joy uncovering the map and all its secrets.

Hollow Knight reminds me a lot of the Souls series in many ways, which is a great thing as I'm a huge fan of those games. Very methodical, deliberate gameplay, and the bosses so far have been the best I've ever encountered in a sidescroller.

By the way, music and visuals are A+.

I beat this game about a month ago and finished at 99%. I can't stop thinking about it.

I really want to replay it again on the Switch, but i'm dreading the thought of playing it on the Pro controller because the d-pad is so bad and the sticks have too much throw.

I got two of these guys the are so good. Great for literally everything, and you can use them on any console/pc. Analogs are great and the d-pad is perfect. Also grabbed a couple 10 dollar wireless dongles that let me use it with my snes classic.

I'm jonesing for Hollow Knight to drop on the switch. Can't get here soon enough.

1) Wow, I really suck at 2d Metroidvania platformers. Although it's been a decade plus since since I played one and that was on some Gameboy, while I'm trying to play on keyboard.

2) Guess they weren't kidding when they recommended using a controller.

The environment/atmosphere in this game is excellent, that much I can say. Now I'm just going to pretend that I didn't just die twice to stupid shit like continually missing a jump onto spikes...

Morizora's Forest
Apparently you can give the Delicate Flower to the Elderbug in the village...

Makes me wonder if other characters can receive the flower. It would have been nice if you could gift it to
Myla and prevent her from losing her mind.

Hollow Knight has been a very well supported game after it's release. Can Switch owners expect all of the content in one package and how much more DLC is there still to come?

Absolutely! Hollow Knight on Switch will launch bundled with the two previous free content packs, Hidden Dreams & The Grimm Troupe, and a bunch of smaller optimisations and improvements we've made along the way. We'll be announcing details on the third content pack in the near future, which is looking likely to arrive shortly after the Switch launch. Beyond that pack, we have our second playable character, Hornet, in the works. She has her own story, abilities, bosses and more, which we'll be talking about at a later date.

Found an interactive map that shows you the locations of pretty much everything, in case you want to go for the 100% achievement. It's possible to turn certain things off and on, so if you only want to find all the Charms you can do that.

Obviously it contains spoilers so if you want to find everything by yourself, you've been warned.

Oh dear, my friend showed me
The Path of Pain... We all three started it together and one friend quickly got ahead of us. Now they both made it and I'm still stuck in the final part...

Can anyone confirm what the plan are for future updates. I want to know whether to jump in at the switch launch or wait till all the updates are out, as I only have time to play through games once.

The first two DLC packs will be included in the Switch version and the last DLC pack will come after the launch.

I think I'm near the end at just under 20 hours. I've opened the three seals and know where to go, but before I do so is there anything I've got to do first (to avoid a bad ending or whatnot)? I have half of the white mask (unequipable charm), FWIW.

(I haven't completed the arena or all the dream-version bosses or gotten 100% of the grubs.)

I'm gonna put this in spoilers since other people might get upset, I'll try not to go in too many details anyway.

There's more than one ending in the game, but you can continue playing after finishing so if you want you can go straight to where you think you should go.

That white mask is related to the other endings, but to get them you will be locked out of the first ending and can never get it again in that save file, so go for it.

To get the "true" ending first of all you need to upgrade your dream nail with essence, you can get essence by defeating dream warriors/bosses, dream nail ghost npcs and also those weird trees that let you collect red orbs after you dream nail them.

I can go into more details of what you need to do to get the other endings if you want, but for now I'll stick to this.

Started the game last week, 13 hours in and damn this is so good. Can't stop playing it!

All the backtracking remind me of the feeling I had playing Metroid games, great level design.

I already had something like 1400 essence when I got the first ending, so getting enough to unlock the other(s) shouldn't be too much of a hassle. But after putting so much time into the game I can't easily find the motivation to pick it up again; IMO, Hollow Knight would have been a much better game if it were more compact.

Fuck the White Palace.

lol

I think we all know that feeling. Though there is some cleverly hidden shortcuts for some of the thoughest parts that let you bypass them.

Anyway I'm happy that the normal thing can't even begin to compare to the optional part the user above me mentioned.

Wait till you get to the Path of Pain...

I accidentally went through part of the Path of Pain, thinking it was a shortcut/alternate path. And I got through the part of the White Palace I was "stuck" on for a good half hour (after going back and slapping on increased speed charms). But then there was more, and it wasn't fun, so I uninstalled the HK. I'll watch the "true" ending on YouTube for now and maybe give the game another shot after the alternate character's campaign becomes available.

EDIT: Found these posts of mine from before I bought the game.

I intensely dislike both the art style (the all-grey hand-drawn Flash/Dishwasher/etc. look) and the subject matter (bugs), but that's a matter of taste. The combat, though, was being praised in the post I responded to. Is there a part of the game in particular that has interesting platforming, on par with, e.g., Guacamelee's Tule Tree Tops?

Hmm. That part [White Palace] actually looks good.

We're still going to get the second playable character, right? Any idea whether that will be before or after the console release?

If I recall correctly, this is the last free update (that was holding them back for the Switch release).
New campaign with a different character will be the paid DLC that will be released later, probably after the console release.

Correct if wrong.

Lifeblood was just a bonus update. Gods & Glory is the last free update and that should be sometime soon.
