Holy hell at the final mission

Died at least 12 times to the first encounter

If you're on UH and going into the last mission COME READY or die

Norway but living in France
People who felt the Shield Weaver armor got nerfed...
It got a wonderful new playful purpose now.
If you hack the Control Towers then the pulses will recharge the Shield Weaver!
Just Brilliant.

The final encounter was probably one of the hardest fights I had in the game, the enemy was relentless with its attacks and I think I went through all of my healing items.

Played about a couple of hours. Absolutely loving it and it's reminding me why I liked the game so much to begin with. That feeling of being in the wild and it being a dangerous world to traverse. So good (and pretty).

Scorchers are very cool. I died at the first one they set you up with. Came in with a strategy and it totally went to shit. Then I went with freeze arrows and then the hard point arrows. Worked well.

Playing on NG+ on very hard. Seems to be a good difficulty so far. I'm just starting though.

Yuuuuuuuup. That encounter was harder than anything else. I took down the Scorcher the first time in one shot. I think I died three times on the triple Frostclaw encounter. But that? All hell rains upon you.

One criticism I will levy at the game is its FOV. Normally, it isn't an issue, but when on any sort of incline, or in the case of a story quest in the DLC:

When fighting the two demonic stalkers in the cave on the Shaman's Path, it is absolutely brutal. It's hard to turn the camera around to see them.
Got those two in a choke point, froze them, then bombed the SHIT out of 'em.

OMG
at the last Boss

I never seen a enemy take so much damage and not fucking die

Got him with almost no items left

hahah yeah. its crazy. You can find him
in the open world where the frost gravedigger monster is post game for a rematch. Still tough as fuck. Really insanely difficult
. Loved the lighting in the area. I got some really good snaps of it. Lemme go find it.

I wish I took more screenshots on the playthough but I was so engrossed in the game I forgot. I've since gone back in and did some pics. Just an insanely good looking game. Loved the colours in that last area.

While playing frozen wilds DLC i went back to the main game's world and I noticed some very aggressive pop in in ground textures which I can confirm was not that bad with previous versions of the game (i checked both DF analysis and an old video playthrough of mine).

Whereas before the LOD pop in was still there it was very subtle and not noticeable, right now entire chunks of textures just pop in right in front of me. Does anybody else notice this in their game? Notice that this is easily visible when walking down road paths not while traversing through densely foliage areas.

I'm still playing through the main game.

Are there any flashlight mechanics or day/night time switching of any sort? I can't stand attempting traversal at night in this game. It's way too dark.

Having a bit of a rough time with it, mostly because it's been so long since I played the game that I have to re-learn all the controls.

When people say that they can spot the graphical shortcuts Guerrilla Games took to make the game look so unbelievable, what are they even referring to? The game looks great all the damn time and the attention to detail is absolutely insane!

I was defeated a number of times by the Scorcher just to learn it's attack patterns and behaviors and now, it's a chump. I love the enemy encounters in this game.

there's a youtube video showing the tech behind HZD that shows the polygon culling which enables them to push their visuals. It's seriously amazing stuff. People forget this is open world. Its open world and it looks fuckballs amazing.

You remember the pain you had to go through just to obtain the armor? Through it in the garbage and forget it! Fucking disgrace

I played TFW without. Its meant to be difficult this new expansion. I watch Jimquisimpressions and he had it and he was like LOL this is so easy now (subject to whatever difficulty level he's playing it at).

If you want it to be easier, just drop the difficulty.

Still going through the DLC, kinda disappointed about the small side (I expected more new machines tbh) but early on there was a bit that first guy said about the Oseram country being next to the Banuk's and I'm curious if we'll get another bit of DLC focusing on the Oseram?

I would rather get a full sequel than another DLC, though I certainly wouldn't complain.

Do you have any pictures? I noticed streaming has changed but for the better.

Angola / Zaire border region.
Given that Aloy is a hunter, I really hope there are better stealth options in the sequel. There are so many times that I wanted to go prone and sneak around, or climb up to high ground and use some binocs to survey the landscape and assess threats.

HZD is already awesome and the combat is outstanding; I think these additional options would really take it to the next level.

Yeah, quests design, voicing and animations have caught up with the very best of the Witcher 3. :) I'm so proud of Guerrilla Games. The Frozen Wilds cemeted this game being my GOTY.

That came really fast, I still haven't done much and it's almost "over". Reading the thread I'm not ready for that so I'll just grind for a few hours. Thanks.

Did you just go straight down the path of the main "quest"?

I did pigments, bluegleam, animal thingos, upgraded weapons, ammo packs, control towers etc el. There was plenty of game.

Also
It might not be end game end game but I didnt realise there were addition sidequests in snowfall (that first town) to do
and I did them after - a fair bit of content.
