Don't fail me now, Amazon.
I'm from the school of vastly preferring the Galaxy/3DW line over 64/Sunshine, but I always suspected that was more about what Tokyo brought to the table than about openness or obstacle-course linearity. Odyssey will be the test. Can't wait to see what the road to 100% will be like. (And the music! Volumes and volumes of new Mario music!)
Waiting for my copy will be unbearable, but all the best to those of you diving in now, and I hope to join you soon enough. But I was already spoiled on the Power Moon count earlier today, so maybe I should put the blackout curtains back up and avert my eyes from the threads.

Preordered a code days ago. Haven't gotten anything yet. No early code to preload?
Says it will be available to play at 12am ET but that's it. Very annoying it no codes go out until 12am ET and we have to wait to download.

I'll be picking this up at 9pm tonight, if everything works at the GameStop. They said there would be a 9pm launch, but they also said that about Metroid. I went to the midnight launch for that, only for them to tell me, that someone was mistaken, and they can't give me the game. I'm going to call them again, to make sure. I feel the HYPE. The past few months have been stressful, I would like to chill for once.

Super excited to see whatever the intro is (I'll lose it if Luigi makes an appearance!) and just taking my time in this world.
It's gonna be great to immerse myself in every world, enjoying the wonderful music, and just playing a FULLY 3D (not at all a jab at 3D World, it's one of my favorite games) Mario game.
It's gonna be a joy experiencing the feel of the controls, the quality of the art and animation, rotating the camera and looking and playing any way I please, and just getting such a strong sense of place from the environments in this game.
It's a mainline Mario game, it's almost destined to be special. I'm sure it'll sit right up there with BOTW for me.
It's gonna be a religious experience.

Super hyped for this, but the news about the frequency of moons sounds kinda concerning. Is there any difference between the moons you find just floating around different than ones with more of a 'quest' attached?
