I have the game preloaded and can't wait to play once it goes live. I've managed to stay away from the spoilers floating around the web so I'm very excited to see everything that Nintendo hasn't shown off in the pre release materials.

Probably around 1000 from counts I've seen collected in the high 900's.
Don't know the exact number, but close to 1000 is what I've heard. Over 900 at least.
Yeah, really liking it too so far. I tried to go in as blind as possible and I think that was the right approach for this game. There are so many moments that feel unexpected, which is, well, not the rule when it comes to Mario.
The only thing I'm not really on board with is the art direction, those oversaturated colors in combination with the somewhat dated looming "realistic" shaders and some of the enemy designa... eh. That's just me though, others will probably dig it.

I was thinking "eeeehhh, kind of an underwhelming OT title", then I saw what you really did over "yonder". Simply inspired.
There are apparently 836 Missions in the game. Some of these Missions are special and they offer Multi-Moons that are worth three regular moons - bringing our total moon count to 880. Some people will consider the final number to be 816, but that depends on your thoughts on a certain style of Missions and it should become obvious when you find it.
There's a caveat to the number of 'moons', though, so I rather just define it as 836 Missions.

My hype for this game is going to end me. The worst part is I can only play for like an hour so I can get some sleep for work tomorrow, but I know full well I'm going to just play all night and be an unproductive waste of payroll tomorrow instead.

Just got my shipping notification email. Was getting a little nervous since BB has dropped the ball on release day delivery for my last handful of pre-orders. Unfortunately UPS usually delivers late in evening so it's going to be a long day.

Man, I decided Breath of the Wild was my favorite game of all time this year. I'm starting to think that Super Mario Odyssey might already knock it down a place. Switch momentum is insane, literally can't recall any other platform hitting this hard in its first year.

Question! Do we know how many times Mario can throw his cap and mid-air make a jump? During the speedruns that I've watched, I've seen Mario do:
Jump -> Throw cap -> Jump after cap -> *RESET* Jump -> Throw cap -> Jump after cap *RESET???*
Essentially never losing air... how many times can Mario actually do this?
