Every person should have access.Do we know if, with the "Family Plan", the other 7 people will have access to Cloud Saves, or only the person who actually pay has it?
Thanks.

Do we know if all the games can be accessed even if you subscribe later?
PS plus has this thing where you won't be able to get a specific month's games if you subscribed later.
Because it's just NES games. Most NES games don't hold up all that well, and the few that do we've played a million times before on other platforms. Why should we be excited not only to pay for them again, but to pay a recurring subscription to play them again?Okay but you're not being forced to play any of these multiplayer. They're the full original games and some have additional features. So again, why don't people seem to be excited for a pretty good value package of NES games?
They delayed it a year. Some of us were hoping that was because Nintendo realised the offering they announced was shitty and they needed to come back with a lot more.Honest question for anyone here.
Nintendo originally announced this service early on. If I remember correctly they said
-will launch in summer 2017
- no price announced
- NES games for free for only THAT month then you could buy them.
- eshop deals
Then
It got pushed back and they clarified the price (20/yr) and they announced 3 NES games and mentioned they'd have online features and you could keep the games when subscribed. They also said SNES games would come.
So now nintendo announces exactly what's stated above, with 20NES games and cloud saves and the consensus is to complain. Did you expect something radically different? Nintendo literally told you why was coming beforehand.
It's ridiculous to buy a service in the blind faith that maybe someday they'll do something good when they have no reputation for doing that good thing. If it was just these 20 games and nothing ever again then I'd understand the complaints but they have outright said there will be more added regularly

But the developers and folks working behind the scenes say Nintendo can't do any of those things you say, lol, including FailOverflow.
Yeah the Wii and Wii U only had NES games...It's ridiculous to buy a service in the blind faith that maybe someday they'll do something good when they have no reputation for doing that good thing.
I expected that this year delay was to get their shit together and improve the shitty initial proposal.
And ppl complain because is as shitty as have been announced.
Was it announced though? Nope. Let's deal with the facts we have now rather than making hypothetical predictions about the future. The fact is that games other than Nes weren't announced and when asked about it Nintendo said nothing to announced on this topic.
I don't expect any different outcome for any significant Nintendo announcement. This is the same we've been through when the Switch was announced etc. It eventually moves on.Honest question for anyone here.

They had VC where you could choose which games to buy - which is what I would personally like on Switch.
Made a spin off thread https://www.resetera.com/threads/th...ine-family-plan-is-a-gouge-to-families.41079/Currently on my console I pay for online, it covers everyone on that console on their accounts and my account where-ever I go.
With the Switch would I need to pay extra for the family plan for does it work the same way?
The current state of disconnect galore with splatoon 2 makes it easier to just pass, now if people don't buy this too, cool, maybe we'll move the needle.
18 months for this weak ass attempt. Fuck me, I think my microwave manufacturer could manage a better online platform in the time.
I love my switch, but still no messages. Friend codes. No proper chat. Cloud saves locked behind a paywall. No proper VC which everybody wants.
Pathetic really.
Achievements is something that would get me excited again for the Switch, but I don't see it happening. This is the big relaunch?
Weren't people expecting system level voice chat?
Achievements?
Reworking of the friends list?

I think that'd be for games like Pokémon and Animal Crossing where the ability to backup and reload your saves would break your game. Pokémon and Animal Crossing already have similar restrictions on the 3DS (you can't load a backed up save that's older than your current one) and so forth, on Gamecube you couldn't move those saves to other memory cards etc.Having just looked at a Kotaku Article I went to double check myself has anyone else mentioned this yet.
Securely back up your console's save data to the cloud.
Please note: not compatible with all software.
Seriously Nintendo why in gods name are you so incompetent with anything Internet related.
Not having a way to back up save files for free is for one unacceptable, not being able to back up all my game saves even when I am paying for it.... Well I have no words to describe how stupid that is.
Would the switch support that? How about plugging a 3.5mm phone headset into the Switch itself? You know, like I could do on a Vita in 2012 (PSP in 2005 as well? I can't remember).

Hopefully they are leaving the more juicy details about a future OS update for E3, but I doubt that.../Shrug
All I kept hearing was "wait for the online reveal" regarding any switch shortcomings.
