Hmm interesting
Didn't kno tsu wasn't popular
Oh trust me, she is. My indifference towards her puts me in the minority.
Cmon, she isnt less interesting than Hagakure

I had to think about it but Hagakure got the Ojiro connection so she's slightly more interesting to me. And obviously there's the fact that her strength is probably only second to All Might's and she defeats all the villains in secret without taking credit for it...

Yup! New episodes on Saturday, Japan time. You gonna wait til season 3 ends before reading the manga?
Nope. I'll start the Manga either tonight before bed or tomorrow.

I gotta say the contrast between Hero's and villains is spectacular. When you see the pro heroes they are goof balls. You can tell they are good people. Yeah there a few iffy ones, but at their core they are good people.

Then the villains are at the COMPLETE opposite end of the spectrum. There is no "he is evil but he has a point" kind of villains like we see in other shows. They are evil for the sake of evil. They don't care. There is no deeper meaning or misguided agenda.

It's just a really well done dynamic. You have these goofy looking heroes in cat costumes and other funny clothes fighting these villains who look like they just stepped out of a R-Rated horror movie. I can't explain why I like it so much, but I really really do.

Nice!

I have to disagree with you on the villains, though. There's Stain, who has a "noble" motivation but is going about it in the most incorrect way possible. Extending from that is Dabi and Spinner, who are following Shigaraki as a way to uphold Stain's twisted ideals. There are others who are simply "evil," or want to cause chaos, but there are also those who are more layered or at least written well enough to have proper motivations. Wrong as those motivations may be.

I'mma need some more villains that aren't like this, as it gets boring otherwise for me.

Kirashima, tokoyami and Jiro In Oj to no ones surprise.

Kirashima can keep attacking while in his hardened state without getting staggered or blowback he'll still take health damage tho. MAIN

I mean generic BG isn't a problem of the anime only, the manga also has it. Kouhei is much better at drawing characters than BG,

The background has never been a detriment to me. I understand they could be better and I certainly appreciate good backgrounds when they're there, whether in anime or manga, but in MHA they've never actually bothered me.

Me too, it helps that characters have very good designs so it isn't very distracting

Just started reading/watching MHA! Think I've decided to watch the show up to the latest episodes and then start reading the manga from there.

Which Vol or chapter from the manga does the 3rd season start at? Is there a guide by any chance that shows the correlation between each episode and it's manga chapter counterpart? Or atleast which volumes are covered in each season?

Season 3 starts at the last 2 chapter of Volume 8, which are chapter 70 and 71. You can check the My hero academia wiki to see what episode covers what chapters, though do be careful of spoilers when browsing the wiki. If you're planning to read after the latest episode I would advise to watch the upcoming episode (ep44) this week and then buy volume 10, since I believe episode 44 will end at the end of volume 9 and episode 45 starts at the beginning of volume 10. (I would also recommend getting the previous volume since Horishiki has some pretty good art and to support the official release.)
