yo is the fps kinda fucked for anyone else. it just feels like it's 5-10 fps lower than what i feel it should be. or this could be because im playing a lot of overwatch and still acclimating to 30, but i dont think so....

Yah, isn't as smooth as before. They need to patch it.

They changed the sound effect of Wardcliff Coil for some reason. Same thing with Graviton Lance. Preferred sounds they first used, tbh.

Dunno about the Wardcliff, but the Graviton Lance is the same sound effect, but because it's a 2 round burst instead of the previous 3 rounds, you hear the regular round fired off and then the bass drop from the second immediately. Would sound a bit weird if it was still the previous one. At least you get to hear that insane sound effect more often!

I decided to go in full casual with this DLC because I suspect a major overhaul come September. Like your shitty Year 1 gear is dead like in D1's Year 2

they probably do need to completely nullify all of the year 1 weapons to some degree--none of us really love it, but after a significant amount of time, almost all good weapon archetypes exist. This was an issue in Rise of Iron as well--just infuse all of your meta weapons and you're good.

The better solution: New perks exclusive to year 2 weapons while allowing year 1 infusion, but we'll see.

Hey corn go ahead and swap in The Dude for me on the lair runs. I'm done. The one thing I could count on in Destiny was a smooth experience (referring to the framerate), but now that's gone. Combined with not enjoying anything I've seen other than the exotic weapons in this new expansion, I think I'm just going to step away from this game and play Destiny 1 when I need a fix. I don't enjoy complaining about something I used to love hoping that it'll improve and I sure as shit know people dont want to hear me do it. Good luck in the new raid, guys.

The frame time needs to be fixed pronto.

I just started a character, what are the must get exotics from the main game and 1st expansion? Playing a warlock. I want to minimize my play time instead of trying to collect everything like in Destiny 1.

Thinking I might jump back in to Destiny even though my friends I beat it with are done with the game. I was still enjoying it and only quit because I'd be playing solo...

That sucks man, it must be random for pros because I did lair last night and have been nonstop and it's been pretty much as normal as always. And as a Pc gamer predominantly I'd freak if it was that that bad, I hope they fix it for you soon

It's pretty much everywhere I go in the game now. It doesn't make any sense. I've rebuilt the DB, turned off super sampling, restored licenses, and deleted and re-installed the game. Nothing fixes it.

The Dude Are you playing at 1080p w/ super sampling off? I have a 4k TV and was having major framerate issues on the pro, but switched the system resolution to 1080p and did not have issues... I know it's not a great fix, but it's something. Really hope Bungie gets this corrected though, I really find it hard to believe this was never come upon during QA...

Supers feel like they happen more often now but doesn't quite last as long as before. Can anyone confirm this? Wasn't in the patch notes I think.

I love the focus on endgame. Gives those who play regularly rewards and a constant goal to chase.

It's like Diablo 3. Levels 1-70/Campaign doesn't matter. It's all about stuff to do once you're in Paragon mode.

If anyone is doing the first Raid Lair today, I'd love to join. Never had the chance to do it.

Feels the same as they have since launch to me. No way they'd stealthily slip something that big in there, people would riot.

But speaking of super times, I did use Sentinel yesterday for the first time in ages and it did remind me just how pathetically short the shield super is. It's gone so fast. If stormtrance didn't exist, I'd say it was the worst roaming super in the game.

after playing some competitive matches as a solo player, i notice absolutely no difference in the matchmaking, despite the promises skill based adjustments to address the imbalance in fireteam vs solo matchmaking.

turns out that they disabled those changes, no ETA on when they'll actually come in.

thanks bungie, for the competitive quitter penalty that's been active for weeks, while doing nothing at all to address the imbalance between solo/fireteam. i just want fair matches.

as a reminder, here is what Derek Caroll the pvp lead said:

From reading your feedback and looking at data, it's clear that solo players are facing an uphill battle in the Crucible when they encounter well-coordinated opponents. Players in Fireteams have a substantial advantage, particularly as average skill increases. In the current Crucible, solo players at virtually all skill levels win fewer than half of their games.

Holy fuck heroic strikes are a nightmare with randoms. Recommended level is 350. People are 340 trying this. I advise not to. Enemues have A LOT of health. Plus the modifiers are a bitch. Even at 360+, it's tough.

One reason they have a lot of health is the Iron modifier: Enemies no longer stagger, and health pools are increased by 50%

An unfortunate modifier for the first week of the DLC with everyone still so low level.

The mission design in this feels very bad. Like D1 vanilla bad. Go somewhere, press a button and wait for the inevitable 'defend' the area section.

No. Keep in mind catalysts come from all sorts of sources and have RNG, so just keep playing.

Got me a DARCI catalyst. Whoooo...

Actually got me to try out the DARCI again and, while slightly annoying waiting for the scope to "lock on", the damage output is pretty nice. 17.5k head shots on some of knights doing missions last night and 5k+ crits on Xol's ugly face.

Dunno why they don't have 2v2 anymore either. Something my friend and I always played in the first Destiny. We don't care if it plays perfectly, it's just great to grab a buddy and have fun and only rely on each other.

I personally love that my first Competitive match of the season began with one of my teammates leaving at the start, then the other two leaving halfway through.

Then I left and had a warning not to leave matches.

I noticed that too, especially with the Adventures. "Collect 3 of these, then defend. OK, now go activate 2 of these and defend. OK, now go over here and wait for it to cook, while you guessed it, DEFEND".

If three ppl leave the game, it should auto mercy on the spot. No leaving it open for anybody else to get matchmade into a shitshow. Bungie are really stupid when it comes to this.

Heroic Strikes having a 350 LL requirement but only dropping 340 loot is bullshit.
So they made the strikes harder and now less rewarding? Outside of Exotic Quests requiring that I run these, what's the point? I also heard Burns are worthless this time around, too? LMFAO Bungie.
The two new strikes are the last two missions of the DLC's campaign, not the main game.
This shit is absolutely abhorrent. What's funny is that they thought they were gonna get away with this shit, too. So glad this entire mess blew up in their faces and forced them to switch things up. I'm gonna wait a few weeks after the September update to see if they try this shit again, though.
