I wonder if the recent Celestials news will accelerate the New Gods plan.

Edit - I believe Ava DuVernay has been working on New Gods a while longer than appears. Or at least been in talks regarding. She tweeted about Big Barda being her favourite hero a while back.

I love the new Mister Miracle run - I hope they nail the Barda - Scott relationship in similair fashion.

I swear I keep reading the exact same lines from people who dislike a certain thing. Unable to properly express their thoughts, you get generic 'criticism' like this. Devoid of meaning at this point, because the same rhetoric seems to be applied everywhere.

"Looks like a tv show" is another one.

Objectively people can hate the films, but MCU has plenty of terrible movies one after another. I dunno I think reboot talk is crazy when the whole cast is stellar and the movies made money.

"They're only in it for the money" is my favorite slam against any of these movies because it's so delusional. These aren't indie arthouse passion projects that are only ever going to be seen by like a dozen people. They're big general audience blockbusters whose primary function is to make money.

Not to say that the directors, actors, cinematographers, composers, etc. behind them aren't artists and don't pour their art and soul into them because they do (including the ones you may not like), but people shouldn't delude themselves over why they exist. Don't be marks, kids.

Though with Icon...yeah he is kinda weird at times. Dunno how but he tracked my IP once for saying Cavill is a bad actor or something.

It's not that bad, it was a funny moment. Actually, your post confirms that every BvS thread is just a beat on a dead horse fest, I don't think you can say anything new about it at this point.

I'm excited for Aquaman, most definitely.

But I'm not putting much faith in what was said about the pre-release screenings after how wrong the word was about DP2.

Wan will deliver though.

A string of good movies and everyone will move on.

Someone in here mentioned hes a reliable source.

Did some searching and noticed he dropped hints regarding Ava directing New Gods and Spielberg joining the DCEU prior to the announcements. There are a few more things he's called too, the Peter Jackson news I think.


A quick question.

I've read Watchmen (many times), the button issues of flash and batman and Rebirth 1. What else should I catch up on before i read Doomsday Clock? I don't plan on starting for a while yet.

Was there any truth to the talk of Wonder Woman's composure on Aquaman? I'd be for it.

Curious to see what song they go with for the trailer. Probably Seven Nation Army or La Mer. Either or.

Why would WB want to release a Snyder Cut? After his DC movies and if the rumors about him being fired are true they'd probably want to distance themselves from anything with a Zack Snyder name on it in the DCU.

I hope they move on with these solo movies coming out and not do anything with the old movies like bringing out a different cut of JL, if they did a Snyder Cut and it was received like BvS it would just harm the DCU. Just let it be forgotten in the past and build the universe with the movies coming out from here on out.

Because there has been no substantial movement on anything that wasn't already in the works years ago or the Wonder Woman sequel. It's a lot of announcements through the trades that result in no tangible results. Batman and The Flash have more or less been in development hell since 2013-14.
