Magnum PI was worse than I thought it would be, which is saying something.

As a fan of Murphy Brown from back in the day I was a bit worried but I'm a little hopeful now.

I couldn't even remember The Neighborhood after the trailer ended.

God Friended Me looks like it's going to be this generations Touched by an Angel. It looked like something put out by Focus on the Family. It put a bad taste in my mouth but I recognize it's just because of my own personal past.

Happy Together, I watched this, I seriously can't remember anything from it.

FBI looks like what you'd expect.

Feels like CBS is trying to cover all the old bases.

The Magnum reboot makes me angrier than the MacGyver one. He has no mustache and no floral shirt, it's like they had no idea what made Magnum. I thought it was supposed to be staring Magnum's daughter, that could have been interesting.

I'm not angry about it, just profoundly disappointed. Not sure when they abandoned the reboot pitch with Magnum's daughter as the lead, but I was definitely looking forward to that version of the show instead of what they're going with. And with John Hillerman passing away in the past year, that also means one fewer available character cameo to tie into the original series.

Will probably catch the pilot when it premieres but I can't help but walk away imagining what could've been. At least the meltdowns on Twitter are fun to watch.

Yeesh. Just watched the upfront. Yep. Looks like a modern CBS "action" show.

FBI seems pretty run of the mill but I'm also sort of interested in it anyways. I like Cedric, Tichina, and Josh Lawson in The Neighborhood but I'm not sure I'm going to watch it. Also like Damon Wayans Jr but not sure about Happy Together either. I enjoyed hearing the Magnum PI theme and might check out the show but then again I never watched the original. I didn't want the original Murphy Brown but the clips they played in the trailer make want to see the original and consider the continuation (which I thought was going to be a reboot).

Eh, it's the same basic thing. Alfred being ex-special forces badass has been pretty common in various Batman properties for a little while now so I don't know that it matters whether the Alfred in this new show turns into Michael Caine orSean Pertwee.
At least of the Alfreds we have seen , Gotham version does legitimately feel like an ex-special forces badass.(has taken out legitimate assassins, fought a "super villain") I'd like to see his specific back story.
And just the general tone and aesthetic of the Gotham world would add to it.

Its still very interesting to me anyway.

Holy fuck, you two are making me feel OLD.

Not an age thing.

Wikipedia says this

Murphy Brown was unsuccessful when it was introduced in off-network syndication in the 1990s, in part because of music rights fees and in part because the topical references in the show quickly became dated

Makes me think I've never heard of it because it didn't air internationally for the same reasons.

Young Michael Caine could totally be a special forces badass.

It's funny they scrapped Magnum's daughter and went with a female Higgins instead.

I don't have much issue with a female Higgins per se, but right out the gate it's not only implied but actually confirmed (via background dialogue no less) that they're already BEST FRIENDS.

That's not how the Magnum/Higgins dynamic works! That's not how any of this works! :/ And they didn't call Rick by his birth name! (Okay, I'll stop.)

Murphy Brown aired a lot later than I realized. I guess my family just wasn't watching the channel when it was airing. Don't recall ever seeing a single glimpse of it while growing up.

FBI seems interesting. Curious to see what episodes 2 and 3 are like and not the pilot though.

This Murphy Brown talk is making me feel old. Granted I was to young when that was coming one and I shouldn't have been watching it let along understanding it but I did enjoy it, especially as I got older and caught reruns. Then again I was a kid that would sneak and stay up an watch The Honeymooners (learned at that time the Flintstones were a copy of it) and Designing Women. I am curious if the new show will work though.

Designing Women. Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time.

I hate this Murphy Brown trailer, if only for the dumb Indian IT stereotype mashed with the millenial stereotype.

Why no word on timeless still? Shouldn't it have already been announced?

Presumably NBC wants to let it go and Sony wants it to keep going and they're at some kind of gridlock. Or, since it will almost assuredly be a midseason replacement, they're just waiting to announce until later since it won't have much to do with their fall schedule.

Watching CBS and didn't realize that they would already be showing commercials for the fall semester. Thought they'd be in a couple weeks at the earliest. Maybe I'm just more aware of the timing this year.

That is what drags it down for me a lot. I'm intesinter in it as it is because the old clips made me interested in the original run. The part with the flip phone was so stupid

I'll be real, all of those CBS shows look awful. "God Friended Me" looks better than I thought it'd be, but the premise just feels too rote for me to care. The comedies look abysmal as well. "Magnum PI" has so much cheap-looking CGI.

Happy Together has both Amber Stevens West and Damon Wayans Jr. going for it.

God Friended Me is Kevin (probably) Saves The World redux

The Neighborhood looks generic but apparently Josh Lawson is getting replaced with Max Greenfield?

None of these promos have blown me away...I need to watch less network TV this fall anyways, so I'm going to choose wisely...

Was the PMC evil like a Kojima/24 villain??? lol
the show never lets it fully make the case despite seeming obvious,
Jason gets proof that further mining and such had happened but can't do much more so they leak it to reporter dude halfway into the episode.
Seals go home and in the last scene while Jason is hallucinating it shows PMC guy arrested on tv(so we don't even know)

Man...

That was hardly even a midseason level final,
should have ended it with last weeks episode or something.

Also why does the British PMC guy have like 4 American flags in his office, has made me wonder since his first appearance.

The canceled CW pilot, Wayward Sisters already has a massive 70,000+ signatures in just a few days:

https://www.change.org/p/the-cw-sav...mpaign=share_petition&utm_term=share_petition

For a show on a tiny network that never even aired a single season, this is a lot of people who want this:

I quote this from Twitter earlier:

.@cw_charmed has 0.8K followers, @cwlegacies 3K. The petition for @WaywardSisters has 63K signatures. @TheCW, #SaveWaywardSisters! You can literally not go wrong! #WaywardSisters

Essentially the pilots the CW did pick up are far less popular then the one they skipped. With the CW upfronts tomorrow it will be interesting to see what they have to say about all of this. The fans continue to push hard for the CW to reconsider passing on Wayward Sisters. Will 70,000+ signatures alter the fate of the show? Won't be long before we find out...

Sure, I'll sign it, there's always a chance.
