Also forgot to mention, Klefbom is one of the best movable players the Oilers have left that is not McDavid or Drai that isn't anchored to a bad contract with a NMC, also this would be yet another Chiapet trade where he would selling low on a really good player (my understanding is that Klef had a somewhat rough season and an injury) AND once again getting the worse player in return in such a trade.

Me: "Chiarelli's an idiot, Poile should be trying to trade Josi for Klefbom++"

Edmonton media: suggests dealing Klefbom++ for a much worse defenceman than Roman Josi (and since it's Rishaug and he's just a mouthpiece Chiarelli's at least thinking about it).

Signing Tavares is obviously the biggest move any team can make this off-season but after that it's just make a trade with Edmonton and/or Montreal. Bad GMs under pressure is just asking for a fleecing.
Every time I see Chairelli bad deals rumours pop up I just think about the video of him trading Seguin and realize that he's 100% as bad as everyone (outside of his stans in the Edmonton media) says he is.

I can't believe that Charielli and Bergevin had basically a completely defensible trade in Hall for Subban just waiting for them to walk into and they managed to both get fleeced instead.

D'oh, I misread his post. I thought he said, "All teams will have a 3rd jersey" and that the sheet just didn't list them all yet. Whew, we're safe.
Im surprised Chicago isnt on there though. Im sure they'd just do something boring like the black alternates they had in the late 90's-early 00's.

Hopefully it's blue. I'm guessing it will just be our last alternate with some small changes.

Rumored list from Adidas of all teams that'll have alternate jerseys return next year

jjHeUMT.jpg

My guesses/hopes?

Blue Jackets: Similar to the blue/cream jersey they had before with a new crest.
Blues: 2017 Winter Classic jersey with minor changes.
Canucks: Millionaires or Stick-in-rink jerseys again (yawn). I wanna see the Canucks go left field and bring back the Skate logo and colour scheme at least.
Capitals: 2018 Stadium Series jerseys, hopefully without the "Caps" wordmark logo.
Avs: Their last alternate is rill gud. More of that.
Yotes: Throwback again please.
Devils: Probably their St. Paddy's Day jerseys again.
Ducks: Purple Mighty Ducks is the dream, but they'll probably go orange again like their last alternates. Probably very similar to those, even.
Flames: 80s throwback. I'm almost sure of it.
Flyers: Already confirmed it'll be similar or the same to the black Stadium Series jersey they wore.
Hurricanes: 100%the black jersey again.
Islanders: this is one where I'm legitimately not sure lol
Kings: Purple throwbacks again, though I'd rather see the grey 50th anniversary jersey again.
Lightning: Some kind of black jersey. Hopefully without the BOLTS logo.
Leafs: It could be a listing to bring back the St. Pats jersey as a St. Paddy's Day jersey (like the Devils had). Wouldn't mind a completely new design as a full-time alternate though.
Oilers: 100% the blue jersey.
Penguins: Maybe they'll do another throwback with their 1997 jersey, but I wouldn't hate seeing their dark blue alternate jersey again.
Sharks: 100% the black jersey, maybe with a new logo.
Jets: Blue/dark version of their Heritage Classic jersey, or a throwback.

Habs name Joul Bouchard head coach for Laval. Surprisingly nice moves on the coaching end so far. Maybe we will finally see that mythical unicorn known as player development?

Speaking of the Stadium Series, maybe Simple Hak will have figured out how to avoid letting the Pens score 5+ goals per game on Philly ice by then.

On the alternate jerseys next year: I'm surprised Vegas isn't jumping on getting an alt. Either Bill Foley's cheap, Vegas doesn't qualify as a weird relocation/expansion rule on jerseys, or they didn't bother working on a design and they're deferring to next season or later.

Probably the third option.

Can't believe I missed half this quarter final game. Let's see if Canada can nurse this one goal lead home.

Ferraro tells Team 1040 that Pettersson expectations are too high...

... goes on to talk about how Dahlen could either be a 1st or 2nd line winger

Well played

Also believes that Pettersson will stay in the SHL for another season, despite reports that he'll sign after the WHC and make his way over to North America

Dreger apparently on the radio pouring cold water on fantasist Habs fans who think signing Tavares will 1) happen and 2) solve all the the Habs problems:

I still think Nashville on a 4-year deal is the best fit for Tavares.

Fortnite Addiction is real

Literally just came to post this after listening to the podcast, holy hell imagine blowing your chance to go to the NHL over a video game.

Edit: some people on twitter think it's Max Jones. Seems believable as I look it up given that he talks about streaming a lot on his Twitter profile, He plays in the OHL and was a first round pick.

Edit 2: although he's only the 24th pick and not from a "prominent team" (which is probably shorthand for original 6 or a Canadian team.

So other chatter is that it's Juolevi.

God damn. Fortnite taking livelihoods.

zroid I need info on these players ASAP.
I'm not zroid but I'll try my best:

Engvall is a 7th rounder from 2014 that everybody and their dog forgot about, he quietly put up respectable numbers in the SHL this season, then he comes over to the AHL in March and is close to a PPG player. Lindgren is a kind of meh RHD prospect, played in the Finnish league this past season. Lindholm will probably compete for the #4C spot in training camp along with Aaltonen and perhaps some random cheap UFA they will sign. Ozhiganov is coming off allegedly a not so great season in the KHL, though he had a good 16-17 season and seems as though he will realistically compete for that 3rd pairing RD spot in training camp. It can be tricky to get a decent reading on Ozhiganov because he was on such a stacked team though.

Think the only surprise here was Lindgren, they could have waited another year or two to sign him.

Tavares will come to STL:

• chance to play with two-time Olympic Champion and King City native Alex Pietrangelo

• chance to play with scoring and energy-conserving phenom Vladimir "Early Shift Change" Tarasenko

• max contract in an inexpensive city in which many players enjoy living

• freedom from the pressure that comes with playing in larger cities with non-deteriorating economies

• riverboat casinos

Buy the plane ticket already!

(I may have made this exact post before I can't remember)
