Destiny 2: Warmind |OT| Mars Attacks!

Not in a huge rush to finish my EP this week as my characters are now homing in on 380. But I did it last week on my chars for the marks. So I've got those. My Hunter looks absolutely amazing in the prestige raid gear with orange/black shader and cloak. It is cool, and a bit annoying to get messaged by a bunch of people about it though. Only downside is not many shaders have much effect on the cloak for Hunter. It's accent color is always yellow :(

The way armor works anyway is regardless of what week it is, it seems that your first piece of gear will always be the class item, then it moves in a specific order. I thought it was the boots, but people were reporting to receive the class item from the chest this week.

The gun seems boss-specific however.

Yea I'd been hearing mixed reports on whether it was rotational or progressive. Glad to hear it's progressive. That's so much better. Still can only get one piece a week. So I want to make sure I get em.

You're absolutely right. Everyone agrees with that.

In game LFG and at least having six man patrols would solve a lot of issues. There's really no excuse for their absence at this point. I don't know what Bungie is doing. They'd atttact and retain more players with both features.

Their engine can't support 6 player fireteams on patrols/public spaces - which is why 6 player activity like the raid has its own instance.

Also, if patrols allowed 6 player fireteams and the zone could only still hold 9 (which is the max atm), it would mess up loading and zoning for everyone.

I want more 6 player activities, but if their engine can't support that many in public zones, it's not going to happen.

I think bungie knows guided games is not in a great state right now but all we've gotten in the two major patches for COO and Warmind is minor tweaks.

Their social team actually listed a bunch of known issues back in October and many of these still haven't been addressed for whatever reason https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/46467

At least GG is a good way for finding a 3rd for nightfall, occasionally I use it on Xbox and we get a seeker instantly and can help them out. But it's silly how long seekers have to wait.

That's a slippery slope. Potentially anyone who boots a player could get banned? That's absurd. How could they honestly monitor that on a case by case basis. Bungie can't deal with cheaters in PvP properly. They just need a better system. Period.

If they didn't want people attempting EP, then Bungie should have made it a time gated activity. Players aren't going to twiddle their thumbs and wait. Like...come on. You and I both know that's ridiculous. But, so is having to boot randoms and shit. It's all fucked.

Agreed.

The fact hat there is no in-game LFG for Raids and Patrols is ridiculous. The fact that every other activity doesn't have matchmaking that you can simply turn off if you want is ridiculous.

But I also never expected PTR to come to Destiny so my hope is that we start seeing Bungie reverse course stuff like matchmaking soon too.

Exactly. They really didn't think things through. Their tools and design process don't fit their goals or needs of their players.

I've told people it was coming, but no one believed me. In this day in age, where everything is a GaaS or persistent online game, PTR is essential. Bungie needs to compete and continue making Destiny fun, satisfying, attractive and accessible.

However, there needs to be a PvE equivalent too. That would really impress me.

I thought the premise behind ditching D1 was to start over fresh with D2 and fix what was wrong with D1. Have they said what exactly they changed from D1 to D2 to make it better from an engine standpoint? Because it seems like all the same restrictions on grouping and content creation are in place.

Also, it doesn't sound like we're getting a PTR. Sounds like they're adding a playlist into the main game that features new modes to test.

This sort of attack on PXG is completely uncalled for. PXG is a good guy and a team player when it comes to the ResetEra Destiny community. He is not the first nor will he be the last to kick somebody out of a fireteam for EP - me and 8 other Era posters had to do it last week. The people in our instance who we messaged were happy to help us and knew what the situation was. If you want to blame anybody, blame Bungie for their bullshit system and 3 man fireteams in patrol areas.

Yes, claim all milestones except the CLAN XP one. It is busted, but it will auto-turn in on reset at a higher light.

If you talk to Hawthorne, and press B (or PC/PS4 equivilant), you can skip that milestone but still claim the other Clan rewards (though they are just regular engrams like a Vendor). But the Raid one seemed to be a higher light for me, but maybe it is just me.

Some players have trolled us when we politely asked them to leave. They'll sit and just dance, refusing to leave. They're just doing patrols for resonate stems or something equally non essential. They can easily go into another instance with zero effort.

Ultimately, it's Bungie's fault. All of this can be resolved by them.
