HOLY SMOKES!! YES!!

Easily the best season finale I've ever seen. Just how much budget does this TV show have?! This looks on par with movies in several occasions!

The acting, the cinematography, the environments... This is one of the best representations of Batman I've ever seen.

But the city is just beginning to turn into the absolute hell Gotham is supposed to be, and they seem to be introducing new villains. How the heck are they going to wrap all of this up in one season?! This is going to be a very tough job.

The Dark Knight rises!

That was everything a season finale should be. Wrapped up what it needed to, had some shocking moments and has me really hyped for the next season.

Lee stabbing Nygma, who then stabs her followed by them kissing was the most Gotham scene ever. A+ all the way.

Oh mannnnnn...

How is it a show can be so close... yet so far away

Everything is just a huge cocktease from the ultimate destiny

A spotlight into the dark city sky, to show a light.... a protector is coming to Gotham

At least we get a new season, albeit short... they are gonna have to time jump like fuck, no fat... all lean to the bone storytelling if they are ever to get to the final conclusion of BATAMANG

Speaking of which, we saw a preview of the upcoming new villains for next season

I believe I recognized one was Manbat... not sure who the psychotic masked woman and little kid are

That ending was pretty wooden acting even by Gotham's standards. I have to say the second half of this season has been complete garbage and I wish they canceled it if they're gonna go with scrawny bad acting Bruce going proto Batman even more next season and Catgirl becoming Watchtower for no damn reason. The only good thing about the second half of the season was Monaghan. Riddler/Doc and all the League stuff was so so so bad and all this prophecy about Bruce being meant to become the Dark Knight was absolutely terrible and hurts the character when it should have always been his invention from the get go. A lot of the beautiful work on this show is ruined by the terrible writing it just makes me sad.

That was pretty fun. A total cock tease but it wasn't devoid of some cool moments.

Train hard and eat your Wheaties, David.

I wonder if they will time skip the beginning of the season.

Bruce all trained up.

You know, given where the show ended up going, as this camp amalgamation of various Batman adaptations rather than the "distant Batman prequel" idea of the first season, it sucks that they so badly miscast Harvey Dent with that awful actor early on. As a result he hasn't been seen since like early Season 2. You know the Season 3/4 Gotham would have gone headlong into Two-Face stuff. Instead he's absent from all these fun arcs.

Same goes for their botched version of Renee Montoya (remember her?) from Season 1.

Yeah if my only complaint is the same I've said in the past... watching young scrawny Bruce threatening full grown adult thugs he would beat them to death if they don't make way for him is unintentionally hilarious

I must admit, I didn't like the beginning so much, but jesus, that ending! Especially the final scene was awesome as heck (who the hell are the two teased villains? Especially the masked ones). I am not sure I would like the series ending like this, so I am happy we get more.

And god damn, Jeremiah is great. I need to see more of him.

I mean, that's what Robins usually do. Damian Wayne kicks criminal ass all the time and can throw punches and kicks so strong that they knock out fully grown adults 3 times his size and weight.

Even if he was trained by the League of Shadows, he wouldn't have enough muscular strength or weight to knock out the villains he faces.

I think people are trying too hard to make Gotham "fit" in the Batman "canon".

Gotham is its own thing. Kind of an "Elseworld" from the comics.

I'm Gotham, Bruce starts his vigilante career at 16. Ed Nygma used to work at the GCPD, and the Joker idea has a definite origin.

People saying that David Masouz must get muscular for Season 5 are kind of missing the point. He can very easily look like a Dark Robin in this reality and in this point of his career: slim, fight-smart, and athletic instead of big and muscular.

Even if Bruce is the same age as Robin, he lacks the training... just a few rounds with Alfred barely count. He's not flipping around like an acrobat and using fancy gadgets and gas propelled this or what nots.

I was surprised to see he was as tall as Jim in that final shot, I always thought he was shorter and Batman in the movies hasn't usually been a really buff dude. I think they can pull it off.

And it shows. Even if he can beat some dudes up in the dark, he still makes a lot of mistakes, gets hurt and even kidnapped. The point is that he's still learning.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. We have all of these fun villains running around the city -- Scarecrow, Professor Pyg, Mr. Freeze, Mad Hatter -- but we don't have Two Face.

What a shame.

Unless he was the Tommy Lee Jones version of Two-Face but darker, yeah I don't see how it would work with this current tone of Gotham.

We could still have Two Face next season.

Time skip next season? Not sure how that would work... would Bruce and Selina be the only ones aged up if so?

Anyways,
-Ed and Lee stabbing each other was super corny
-Penguin's long kiss good nite on Butch was brutal
-Jerimiah stealing the bombs back was predictable

But this is Gotham, my goofy, cheesy, guilty pleasure.
Bring on the final season!

They won't time skip and replace the 2 youngest (main) actors on the show for 13 episodes. That'd be an insult to them as actors.

I thought it was amazing they even put in the effort to make the National Guard not look specific to any time period.
General was wearing a WW2 era uniform, while troops had modern vests and helmets they were completely classic green which has basically been out since like 1982.

I can't stress enough how much I am going to miss this show. I feel like it's finally become pretty much my dream Batman show and now it's getting pulled after just another final 13 episodes. Super disappointing!

Awesome finale. They are going full Arkham City. I only got into the show about 1.5 years ago. I'll be sad when it's done. In my opinion, these are the best onscreen depictions of Ridler and Penguin.

Does Harvey know Batman's identity in other Batman storylines? I can't remember. It's going to be obvious in this show. Well actually it should be obvious to everyone considering many already know Bruce can fight.

Ma Gunn suggestion seems correct.
Im definitely not correct but the thing that popped into my head from the masks was the "False Face Society" but its certainly not.

Yeah I dont see them doing one now. Maybe before the series was cancelled, but after the upcoming season dealing with No Man's Land. Looks like whatever they wanted to do originally will get condensed pretty hard.

I don't watch this show but I'm curious, did they tie in Hushs origin story? Or mention it at all?

Tommy Elliot has shown up twice but he is different.
He was a bully to Bruce in S1 and then showed up again in S4.

He makes fun of Bruce's parents so Alfred gives Bruce Thomas' watch to punch him in the face with it in his fist.
