Could be something wrong with their website. I have GCU and the prices are showing full price on the website but if you add a game to cart, it shows the discounted price.
Chill out and look at the other evidence I've posted. No need to repeatedly insult me.
Seems to be a new SKU number now for Gamers Club. I Went to CS desk the CSR found the new SKU Number 5712311 and rung me out.
Yea, where are we getting GCU is ending? Sounds like they are changing how to buy/renew GCU. This is actually how GCU was for the first few years when you had to go in store to buy or activate it anyway.
Except apparently you can't even renew in-store anymore judging by the newer tweets.OP title doesn't even make sense in the beginning.
Literally worst than clickbaiting.
The tweet states that BB stops online activation because gamers complain too much that it isn't fast enough, and telling buyers to go in-store for immediately activation.
Yeah...I have no clue how please go in-store to buy/renew=cancel of GCU.
How do you report bad thread title because no one is reading the tweet at all?
If anyone is renewing their sub in-store, let us know. Maybe Best Buy is just ending online-based GCU sign-ups and renewals.
How is that a good thing? I didn't have problems and I live nowhere near a Best Buy.Can a mod fix the title? Op got it completely wrong.
You
This. OP got it completely wrong and is causing undue panic. Best Buy is only stopping GCU online activation. Which is a good thing.
It was a mess online and half the time you'd have to talk to someone in store to get it fixed.
It comes from people saying it's being pulled in the physical stores as well and people are no longer allowed to sign up there. I'm about to go to a couple local stores to confirm this, but multiple reports have said they have been denied in store.
Someone on the CAG forums posted this.
I think that's a pretty bad sign.
Looks like they're done selling new subs in store as well.

Yes, it's in the terms that they can discontinue the program at any time.
Looks like they redesigned the website since it doesn't look like it did a few days ago when I was browsing it. Could be glitche on the site itself.
I don't know if people are purposely being ignorant or not but the very first line in the thread is one sign. That the prices are no longer showing until added to the cart.
Sign two is that they limited activation by making it only available in store. Yes it was glitchy activating on the website but that is not the only thing happening here.
Sign three is that the Cheap Ass Gamer Twitter account that originally posted the first tweet in the OP is posting subsequent tweets saying it could be dead.
It's also not clickbait. The title clearly reads "may be ending" not "GCU is over because it's no longer available for purchase online" so yeah.
By the way, this pretty much ensures Amazon US will kill their 20% pre-order discount soon.
