It reminds me to the original box arts and Fantastic Mr Fox, and thats how Star Fox should be styled in.
Don't you mean The Fantastic Mr. Star Fox? :D

No, and yes. Star Fox Zero puppet style is the most realistic i want them to look (fuck assault and Adventures style).

Star Fox Zero's problem was not the character art, it was the shitty bland remake assets art from Star Fox 64 3d enviroments and the low poly everything.
What they need to do is make the more realisticly craft model like, with the grunge painting and shadowing, and things like explosions looking like if they were made with fireworks inside a craft model (like the explosions of ships and the death star in the original star wars trilogy).
Something with this kind of craft hand painted textures and detailing would be spectacular:
And explosions like this:
It seems that Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is also 1080p, and that will be case for Mario Tennis Aces, Captain Toad and Octopath Traveler, in any case we have more 1080p than 720p games. :)
No, its dynamic 864p-1080p resolution. Hub world is locked 1080p.
Apparently MP4 looks gorgeous too, from insidersIf this game turns out to be real, look good, and be great, it'd be sad if Mp4 looks bland in comparison and is more of the same.
I hope stuff from Star Fox 2 makes it in.
Also bring back that Wolf design.
It would be really bad for Retro, meaning that they really ended cancelling a big project and that the Starfox game is only halfway development or so.
Yup. It's my biggest fear right now. After all this hearing nothing would be hilarious, and sadly I know Nintendo is capable of doing it.
Yeah, the problem with Zero is not the art design, which looks great in the CG. It's the shitty graphics with super low polycounts, simple materials, and unexciting effects.
agree. the art design is simply on point. I would love to see a similar art design but with an adeguate budget on switchYeah, the problem with Zero is not the art design, which looks great in the CG. It's the shitty graphics with super low polycounts, simple materials, and unexciting effects.

The game seems to be a 2019 title, with a little possibility for it to come out in 2018. If the game is not shown at E3... Then it means it will be a 2019 title. How would it mean that the game is only halfway development ? It would mean the dev has started when the Switch came out if it was in halfway of the dev lolIt would be really bad for Retro, meaning that they really ended cancelling a big project and that the Starfox game is only halfway development or so.
Well my line of thought is: Retro has finished their last game more than 4 years ago, and the Nintendo fans are kind of worried about their projects. For Retro's sake, they will announce the game even if it's a 2019 game, like they announced Pokémon or MP4 last year, and if the game is in an advanced development phase we will see some kind of gameplay. The game seems to be a 2019 title, with a little possibility for it to come out in 2018. I THINK that Nintendo will show it at E3. Even if it wasn't the plan, I think they will because now it has heavily leaked. If not, then it will be announced 3 or 4 months before release, like 70% of Nintendo's games lol.
I do think that comparison is probably not too accurate.According to Digital Foundry is only touches 1080p when nothing is happening on screen.

The Zero designs are great.Eh, too much edge for me.
Zero has the best Wolf design in my eyes. It's a nice blend of his 64 and Assault incarnations.
Expecting a studio to show up at E3 4.5 years after finishing their last game is unreasonable? If you're disappointed because it's not at E3 it's entirely your fault.
They must have worked like hell in order to put Zelda at launch. Why do keep people still believe rumours if most of the time the tent to be different?? I remember the Zelda will not release worldwide on the same day rumours. Everyone and their mom said they heard the same thing, yet they were all wrong. What about the exclusive beyond good and evil?? Unless Ubisoft is leaking something I am not believing any Nintendo Rumours at all. Sources have proven wrong way to much. 4chan seems like a better place to find rumours tbh.
I still dont think there's any convincing evidence to Pokemon Stars. their explanation doesn't hold water to me. feels more like Eurogamer's interpretation of events leading up to Lets Go
Yup, for the character designs at least. All the vehicles need a bump in complexity and modernization. Or they can use the Assault vehicle designs.
You are free to post whatever you want, so do I to judge the interventions.
I'm probably more excited about this game than anyone here, all I'm saying is that people should keep their expectations realistic. For all we know it still is a racing game, even if it has missions, some kind of story and bosses all the details talk about cups, time laps and boosts. If you are expecting certain things of it you're surely going to be disappointed.
Moreso recently.I'm still skeptical. How often do we get internal Nintendo leaks about games that aren't outsourced to third parties or secondary studios?
Mostly because Eurogamer sounds confident about this, and for a big and serious videogame website like this is important to not share rumors that can damage their reputation. Why do keep people still believe rumours if most of the time the tent to be different?? When was this a thing?
It happens sometimes. I remember Laura K Dale teasing Arms in late 2016 "a new multiplayer IP by Nintendo EPD, kinda a la Splatoon, in a genre that is totaly new and innovative", and, well, that's exactly how Nintendo has promoted the game : "Arms is totaly new genre of fighting game."I'm still skeptical. This is new to me. Link?
Really, really can't say much...but I hear it looks gorgeous (of course, for a switch game). That's not a leak and is entirely subjective. No articles on goNintendo please.
The 120 mini dungeons thing was leaked, but that was from a guide that was releasing with the game, not from any insider. Also there were interviews with the Mario devs after 3D world about going back to the sandbox formula so I wouldn't consider that a leak either. And there was no name drop for ARMS until the 4chan leak that detailed the entire Switch presentation, which insiders like Laura and Liam, ironically, said was wrong. It happens sometimes. I remember seeing rumors about a "kinda open world 3D Mario for NX launch" during 2016 in some french websites.
"4 dungeons, 120 mini dungeons for Zelda Breath of the Wild" was leaked by GameXplain also. That kind of things.
I dont remember rumors prior to Switch unfortunately.
Ah, Laura K Dale indeed said the list was wrong that's true lmao. The 120 mini dungeons thing was leaked, but that was from a guide that was releasing with the game, not from any insider. Wasn't that leak from someone who helped setup the event? I remember the only thing they got wrong was mistaking Cappy in the Odyssey logo for a plane. Yeah that's why I'm growing increasingly suspicious about this leak. If this was an outsourced game a la Mario and Rabbids, or a studio detached from Nintendo like Pokémon I'd believe it more, but there aren't many incidents of a game from Nintendo's internal, first party studios being leaked. Especially so far from E3.Wasn't that leak from someone who helped setup the event? I remember the only thing they got wrong was mistaking Cappy in the Odyssey logo for a plane. Sharing such specific details means that he's pretty confident about the source, and as you said others confirmed, Eurogamer, IGN, Emily from ERA...Liam said a bunch of details about the game that he considered reliable in one of his recent podcasts, and more or less they match what had been told in IGN's article about the rumor:
this reminds me when insiders were were suggesting Mario Odyssey would launch with Switch and Botw would come in June.I feel like the more you get into finer details the harder it is to believe them. Especially stuff like when the game is coming out or when it will first be shown. It's much easier to know if a game is real and maybe what it looks like than it is to know the internal scheduling of the whole company.
So I'd be surprised if the game wasn't real at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised if the finer details were wrong and the game releases this year, or if it doesn't we still see it at E3. Wouldn't even be surprised if many of the gameplay details spoken of end up wrong as well.
Liam said a bunch of details about the game that he considered reliable in one of his recent podcasts, and more or less they match what had been told in IGN's article about the rumor:
The game would come out in 2019 and feature an open hub world like Rare's Diddy Kong Racing for Nintendo 64. Our sources suggest that each Grand Prix would be made up of three races that culminate in a boss battle and that players would be able to compete online. The core gameplay concept combines timed races and shooting, in that each defeated enemy results in a speed boost that would improve the player's "lap" time.
The specific gameplay details that were given by IGN (crediting the 'Nintendo fan community') or Liam podcast are just too similar to what was said by that reddit leaker that if I remember well failed in a lot of info that he provided in the past
The true plot twist would be that Retro announces both Star Fox and the other new project back to back, showing that they overcame the struggles and turned it around. And it's more in the direction people were hoping for from Retro. That way everyone is satisfied
Would only happen in Wonderland
Thanks! Glad to hear. I worry for Prime 4. Every time I see Prime, I remember how much of it felt unique to Retro. It almost feels like playing a Metal Gear without Kojima. I've resigned myself to accepting something different, but hopefully is great! A new team will hopefully utilize their strength, while keeping the core of Prime alive.
