Did it ask you to defeat a commander afterwards?

It may have and I may have missed something. The UI in this game is really small, and it doesn't call attention to objectives very well. A King Dodongo spawned after, and I killed that, and then it seemed like nothing was happening.

I must have missed something.

Weird I just did the mission it ends the second you hit 300 kills the dodongo spawns around 100 kills usually

I may have missed something the first time, but it is working right now. Thanks!

ugh. Didn't play any today. Had an art commission out of nowhere from a work dude. Got me drawing again at least after a long dry spell due to career stuff getting hectic.
So far me and the wife are making decent progress for folks with adult shit to do though. Between the two of us we're up to the Windwaker stages and got a decent bit of the first adventure map opened up and a few extra cast. Needing True Form Midna bad though since she was my old crowd clearer. Linkle works great for that in the meantime though. Badge crafting seems way faster now. Like drops have improved in this version. Plus they got nice grind stages like a Linkle stage with tons of mini imprisoned that drop his shit quick over and over. That was always a drag before.

Overall I gotta say drops, leveling, badge crafting and character chasing in adventure mode all seems vastly improved over the original in this version. I'm pretty pleased with this.

Young Link can net you Toon Link in the WW map pre-hammer. Build up yellow meter, go magic, and then hit the X button to reveal Roc's weakpoint. My Y Link around 23 killed him in one WPS.

Got to play as Twili Midna during one of Linkle's chapters and holy shit she is ridiculous, I was killing stuff I didn't even mean to kill and she is only level 1. And here I thought regular Midna was high tier

Haven't played since the Wii U version but man, some of the new characters are super fun. Young Link, Tingle, Skull Kid and Linkle are all really good.

Did there used to be a weapon wheel ala SS? That's the one thing I just can't really adjust to yet, feels really clunky. I also am totally lost on the Fairy stuff, food seems extremely rare.

How come I'm not getting the A rank reward for Link in some Adventure Mode levels when I earn an A rank with him? Do I have to use a certain weapon or something?

Also, my turbo controller is working great for this game. Great way to protect my hands.

Figured it out. I didn't realize how similar Young Link's icon was to Link's,

Someone give me some good incentive to play characters other than Ganondorf in Adventure mode, please. Because, like on the Wii U version, I'm having trouble seeing any reason to not use him whenever available. Between the powerful attacks, big aoe damage, fun combat style, and just generally awesome design and aesthetic, and that laugh, he's become pretty much all I use now...

The Wii U version let you use the gamepad to select items via a weapon wheel. That worked so much better than reaching aaaaaall the way over to the left and right directional buttons only to accidentally switch to another character and use their special attack. (This has happened twice so far lol)

Hey, nothing wrong with using your favourites. I'll probably do the same with Zant and Ghirahim once I hit adventure mode. I'm sure you're aware that a lot of adventure mode maps require specific characters so keep in mind that you may end up with a level 100+ Ganondorf with everyone else lingering far behind, but that's nothing that a whole lot of rupees wont fix!

Anybody here played Pirate Warriors 3 on Switch ?
I'm incredibly torn if I have it in me to start HW again (having played ~ 50 hours across the WiiU/ 3DS versions) or if I want to play that instead.

PW3 is absolutely fantastic. You might not get as much time out of it as HW but it has a great roster and feels just as good to play.

Can't comment on the quality of the Switch version though. Been tempted to pick it up but I should probably resist.

Wizzro hands down is the most annoying unit to face. The adventure mode map where you had to defeat Lana with Agatha and Wizzro in the background was so annoying. The boomerang tip made me get A rank first try though thankfully.

Funnily Ganondorf is maybe the easiest to face because he spams his combos and they are really short so you just get to break his weakpoint gauge over and over.

Is the performance really that spotty? I played the Wii U version, which ran okay-ish for me. Now I want to try the Switch version with all the added DLC, but if it runs significantly worse than the Wii U version, I might not double-dip...

It runs significantly better in docked, handheld is a bit iffy I think?

1st Great Sea map is now my most advanced map in term of %. Nearing the center and the final boss.
It was different to navigate, pretty linear at first, and a bit of backtracking because of the item cards.

Easy for most of it, it's now a bit harder, but I recommend it: There is a lot of things to unlock, most level 2 weapons, fairy food and costumes. More often than once you even have two or three rewards (counting heart containers) for each stage.

Now aiming for the last lv1 weapon and the last character to unlock. Both in one of the most difficult maps, the Spirit Tracks/Phantom Hourglass one.

It's actually possible to take down the Imprisoned's weakness gauge in one go now. He used to always get up at halfway.

I don't think you could do it on 3DS and you definitely couldn't on WiiU.

The Imprisoned sucks ass, yeah. Though I guess that's accurate to source material...

What's up with the WW adventure map? Need items to search for the reward on basically every square I've seen, but I don't see any space that actually gives them to you.

I feel like the Imprisoned is faster to beat than on Wii U, maybe a 3DS change?

Yes, in the Wii U version, if you got his weak point gauge down halfway, he was programmed to automatically go into another attack phase (something none of the other bosses did) It was a baffling design decision but thankfully that limitation is now gone so you can one shot his gauge reliably all the time.

Of course his ridiculously high health on many maps means you'll still take a while to get through it all but it's not the nightmare it was before. ESPECIALLY when multiple are thrown at you at once...

I've been thinking about what a potential DLC season pass would look like for the Switch game, using the previous season passes as a base.

First pack: The Skyward Sword Pack
- New Character: Groose (free for everyone)
- New Character: Demise
- New Adventure Map: (Skyloft and the Lands Below)
- A loftwing based costume for Medli

Second Pack: The Four Swords Adventures Pack
- New Character: Vaati
- New Weapon: Four Sword (Toon Link)
- New Adventure Map: Four Swords Adventure
- Probably a costume of some sort

Final Pack: The Breath of The Wild Pack
- New Character: Mipha
- New Character: Urbosa
- New Weapon: Sheikah Slate (Link)
- New Adventure Map: The Wilds
- Daruk Costume for Darunia

The map is definitely my biggest complaint. It can be extremely hard to see what is going on in the battlefield when things are flashing on the map constantly. Hell, sometimes I just have to move around a lot and spend 20 seconds trying to find out where I am on the minimap because it is so small and hard to see what is going on.

I sit pretty far away from the TV, which I am sure has something to do with the issues I am having, but still, I never had this much trouble in other games.

Yeah well I'm pretty sure there will not be DLC this time, it's "Definitive Edition" after all. But all your ideas are OK for a sequel.
Although since then, it's TriForce Heroes who added a lot of crazy stuff, I'm thinking of the costumes.
Also I'm not sure if you know and don't want to spoil, but there is a loftwing costume of some sort in the game already :)

Talking about the map, is it possible to zoom?

Select although I find it zooms in too far for my taste

I agree I know the colors differ with what character but sometimes with the chaos I lose track :( Which the player icon was bigger or something

I can dream :(
Though the game already has enough content to be honest haha
And yeah I'm aware of the loftwing costume ;P

WW scenario was the last DLC. It's not that long :)

I wish I was at the WW maps. Still going through Ganondorf stages. I want to finish legends mode! The maps take so long! I don't even want to go back for hearts and skulltulas for a while. I've only had time to play around 3 stages a day. I need adventure mode in my veins!

I still don't think we're getting any DLC.

If anything, I'd think KT would be thinking about a proper sequel at this point. It's been almost 5 years.

Do you gotta do Cias Legend stuff before WW or is it like Linkle and optional?

I need the Hammer to make Helmaroc less of a pain. It sucks Adventure Mode doesn't have all the items unlocked as is, especially since now it has the whole base roster unlocked so you can skip Legends except a few weapons.

I wish Skull Kid had multiple weapon types. The ocarina is cool but I feel like they could do more actual Majora-related attacks. Still one of my favorite characters to play as though!
