Was feeling pretty salty that my rando guild got a Deadpool raid to literally 98.5% left - three people sitting on the final battle and none of them finished it off. But then I got 20 DP shards from my Orb and unlocked him :D
He doesn't even fit into any of my teams right now - just happy to add him to my collection, which is the main way I play these games.
I know it's not optimal, but I typically spend all my campaign energy and currency tokens unlocking new characters I don't even want or need before starring-up the characters on my A and B teams. I just can't help myself. When I need 200+ Gamora shards or something but don't have AIM Monstrosity unlocked yet... that's where I'm going to put my blitz tokens, even if in the long run having a stronger A Team would get me farther faster.
I'm just here for the character pool, basically.
Those "Deals" are really funny, I dont mind giving money to games like this but they have never put up a single offer that seems worthwhile other than Cap.
Back then I decided to skip Cap in hope of better deals down the line, but those never came, and now I am finally farming Cap from campaign.
At this rate I am staying totally F2P, as I will have all the characters I want by just playing.
A 30 day sub for XX Power Cores a day is probably the only thing that will get my money now.
Are you me? I'm literally in the exact same. I have a good job and like this game and I'd be happy to toss some $$ in but good lord the packages are TERRIBLE. $35 for a single Mega-Orb is criminal and there is no way anyone buying that opens their orb and feels satisfied with that purchase. I, too passed up Cap and would happily rewind the clock and grab him.
Game forces me to be F2P, which is fine by me.
