What was it? I missed it
Remember The conversation between dolores and Bernard from a previous episode when Bernard says he have to make a decision about dolores?
After that... Dolores says "that was not what he says" , Bernard seems confused about what this answer mean.
Dolores "stop motion functions" to Bernard and says that she was doing a test... About "Fidelity"
She pretty much does the same thing Williams do with James delos(a conversation to see if their answer are the same)

Thank Christ we're past Eastworld. Was really hoping Maeve was gonna say "I don't have time for this shit" during the samurai battle because good lord was that whole arc a waste of time.

It's not saying much, but that was the second best episode of the season. Things are finally moving. And for the first time in the series Teddy doesn't completely suck.

Just started the episode. A few observation.

-Why Dolores stay looking surprised about new Teddy when she was the one controlling the settings?
-Why does the brother with the ipad still have waves in his hair? They letting dude sleep with a silk scarf?

Dude wasted that security guy like it was nothing, lol.
I think he's totally going to turn on Delores by the end of the season. At least that's the vibe i'm getting.

They could always swerve, but right now I think it's pretty clear he has or will figure out that Dolores is basically as bad Delos. He'll blow her head off and she won't even see it coming.

When MiBs daughter said the stuff about the elephants, MiB made a funny face. I think she's a bot and he knows it.

Did Maeve even find the right robo-daughter? This one seems older than the one in her memories. :p

On the rewatch with the train, I would have just busted out a window and jumped. Hopefully he did, but probably not. Dumb way to get rid of a side character that's no longer needed.

I thought it was the other way around - he was trying to trick her into saying something that would reveal she was a host and she called his bluff.

Seriously. What was the point of a whole episode and a half if none of the core characters are relevant to the plot moving forward? We'd better see Akane and Musashi again.

So Delores reprogramming teddy...I'll ask again....what kind of sense does it make that she refused to do the same thing to the confederate army when she had bernard captured instead of just killing them for no reason? She would have had like 100% more soldiers.

I'd be surprised if we don't.

Regardless, in addition to the katana—which, come on, instant appeal—she and her party learned more about themselves and the hosts' condition by encountering their doppelgangers, recruited another badass, and unlocked Maeve's heightened powers.

Their shared experiences and the hosts' off-script emotion also clearly endeared Sizemore to them, such that he was conflicted in using the radio, which will undoubtedly come into play when that "rescue" comes.

Loved this episode. I'm curious to see what role Akecheta (the Native chief who also served to negotiate with Logan decades ago) will play going forward. Is he more aware, being one of the oldest hosts, or is he serving Ford?

That entire scene will never make any sense no matter which way anyone cuts it.

I could kind of buy into the idea that she felt it was morally wrong to reprogram their code (although that would be a bit weird considering shes only in her position because of exactly that but never the less it made some sense). But now its clear that sort of thing isn't aboveboard if shes willing to do it to someone she cares about.

On another note, Maeve with a katana after her power reveal is as funny as the idea of superman murdering people with bullets.

Finished the episode. I knew Ford was gonna be in the cradle, but somehow I'm not mad that I called it ahead of time. Deep down, we all knew we hadn't seen the last of Hopkins.

We're in the real shit now. Gonna be interesting to see what his plan was for preserving his own consciousness like that. And to see how he managed to do it without destroying himself.

Does anyone else think the picture quality is off and weird in this episode tonight?

The aspect ratio has been changing in certain scenes to denote when/where they take place, such as Bernard and Dolores' scene in the beginning, or Bernard's exploration of CR4-DL. Is that what you're referring to? (It'll go from being full screen to there being black bars on the top/bottom.)

So Delores reprogramming teddy...I'll ask again....what kind of sense does it make that she refused to do the same thing to the confederate army when she had bernard captured instead of just killing them for no reason? She would have had like 100% more soldiers.

Dolores has an emotional attachment to Teddy, and wants him to survive and be useful in the coming storm. She has no such attachment to the Confederados, who tortured her father, and by nature of their situation were treacherous. Moreover, she'd have had to alter them one at a time, and she could possibly only alter their traits—not their core programming.

There's also just no indication that she requires an army... yet. We don't know her real objective, and she's storming central command with a handful of loyalists. She may even be under Ford's narrative control still, especially given that he's revealed to be a ghost in the machine, actively influencing events.

Westworld is Vanilla Sky confirmed.

(Mostly a joke post but people who saw the preview will get the reference if they're familiar with the film)

The fact that she doesn't have emotional attachment to them is even more of a reason to wipe them and get their loyalty.

And no indication? Shes literally fighting a war against Delos and likely all of humankind. Why are we pretending she isn't going to need help with this? Even IF her plan is to just escape with a few close hosts like teddy, theres absolutely NO reason not to fortify your forces at no cost to your mission.

They now have 2 of the 6 Tattooed Maidens. They will have to travel to the other 4 parks to gather the rest, and once they do, a door will unlock.

It's cool that you think she should have done that, but she didn't, and presumably didn't feel it necessary to achieve her goals.

She fought one pitched battle and used the soldiers as fodder for victory. Now she's storming the command center with a small cadre of loyalists.

We don't know her aim, what "weapon" she's after, or why she would or would not need an army after obtaining said weapon. Your concerns are probably going to be addressed by the end of the season when these things are made clear. Patience.

When Maeve was talking to the daughter it dawned on me that that kid doesn't even realize Maeve used to be her 'mom' and then a few seconds later the mom shows up. lol

Oh shit, they're like human Dragonballs.
I need the scene where they get shot off to different parts of the park and are completely useless for an entire year.
Does Maeve no longer have her jedi powers anymore?
They don't work on Ghost Nation, though I'm surprised she didn't at least try again.

Edit: I guess they didn't work to voice command, but maybe to commands over the mesh network might work? I assume Ford has their shit on lockdown to keep Delos from taking control.

Why would he do that to just ghost nation?
