Downloaded the app late evening and haven't recognized I played for about 2 hours. For an F2P title, it is able to kill some time with you. Will watch out for this World 5 boss, doesn't read motivating.

I beat him earlier today with a team of Farfetch'd, Ditto, and Onix. You might want to try the World 6 boss first since I used the experience from beating them to beat the 5th.

Hmm, I may just try that. I am at the World 6 boss too and weirdy enough I found that world easier.

I beat a ratata the size of a bus. This game is weird, cute, and way too frustrating to play on the controller.

The little star means it's shiny, right? I have 2 jigglypuffs, almost exactly the same but with different coloured eyes, 1 has a star and I completed the obtain a shiny challenge.

I can see myself getting attached to this game. Wow, it's addictive. I just started, but damn if this isn't a cool little game. I don't wanna buy anything cause money is to be spared right now but damn if I'm not tempted.

Edit: I have a question, someone answer please! What was your fourth pokemon after your starter, pidgey and rattata? I got a shiny Vulpix and I don't know if it's normal or I got beginners luck.

I think shiny is pretty common in this game

Did any of you spend money on it yet ? Did you feel guilty? Or are you having blast with it?
I haven't yet, very tempted to after seeing what the $30 pack gives. It's a cute time-waster as everyone has been saying, rather addicting to boot. Easy to get in the habit of just "one more level" when playing. Really starting to feel the lack of PM tickets by 4-2, even with 50 once-a-day.

I'd say give it a week, if you haven't beaten the game by then. It could be that you have dropped the game or pushed it back for more important ones. If you see yourself trying to get every Pokemon or playing it for 30 minutes here and there, then get it.

If there was a chance that they'd expand the pokedex to include other generations, I'd definitely buy stuff right now as a way to show support and also get a jump start. But I worry that this won't be that game.

Onix, Marowak, and Rhyhorn (Soon to be Rhydon). Wrecking things in the some of the later stages, full ground and almost full rock bulky boys get good bonuses on the poison stage and normal? stage. I just wish I could get a better move than freakin' Focus Energy on Marowak (he used to have leer which was actually marginally better)

I could see them expanding if this game is successful. Pokemon Rumble World on the 3ds did very well, so maybe there's a chance

I really wish we could control or at least prioritize the targeting of pokemons.

Wasting my Growlithe's fire on a single opponent instead of a group is a waste.

Do you guys have any tips?

Is spending tickets on upgrading boxes suggested? or should I save them for the statues? The box for power stones is way too small...

I really don't know if maybe I'm having the wrong impression but I don't like it that much. Everything is so... automatic. That's why Indon't really like games like FFXII... They do everything while you just watch haha.

Although, I'm going to try it again (: Just because it seems that a lot of you liked it a lot. Wish me luck!

I like supporting F2p games with a 5-10 Dollar investment to show my Support and "pay" for it if it improves my Play experience. Boughbt the 10€ Pack and having a second pot to cook is Linda a huge deal considering the amount of Pokémon you need for move training. I dont think its really necessary to buy the 30€ Set though.

Its very much "just" a cute time waster. Dont read too much into it, definitely not for everyone.

I dunno how much I'm really gonna play this, but so far I'm up to the boss stages of area 2 and 3, and just need to get stronger to take them on. I'm using the starter Pidgey, Kabuto, and Slowpoke, but after sacrificing a Charmander and a Ponyta, my Vulpix learned Flamethrower so I'm gonna swap him in for Slowpoke (which only knows Tackle, but it was level 15). Unfortunately Vulpix isn't in any hurry to unlock a slot for attack stones, so this may end up awful.

I kinda don't want to buy anything until I've saved up for the 2x move and level training statues. Having to sacrifice fewer Pokemon seems like a good way to start.

After the first three worlds, don't do an expedition unless you are 500 greater than the requirement. It's better to do an expedition that's easier and pass than to do one that's harder and fail. I don't believe there's a type matchup system, but getting the type bonus is incredibly important. It's better to swap out Pokemon somewhat often than to train them. Having a lot of slots is generally more important than base stats. Use the auto battle liberally, it generally does a job pretty on par with manually controlling the Pokemon.

How rare are shiny Pokemon in this game? My 4th was a shiny Diglett (blue nose!) but I wondered if it was a guaranteed event.

If you scroll around the map, the very bottom left corner has the tip of another piece of land that's not part of the island the game takes place on. Unless the game opens up to an additional island and I haven't gotten to that part yet, they could easily add additional island expansion packs if it generate enough money for them. Each island could have a different generation of Pokemon on it too heh

I'm on world 7 through 10 and it got kinda grindy. Still my shiny Onix is plowing through the levels.
The freemium model seemed kinda bad at first but at no point did I feel the need to spend money.

Shinies are definitely way more common in this. I have hundreds and hundreds of hours across every single Pokémon game and all I ever got was a shiny Zubat. Then my tenth visiting Pokémon in this was a shiny Geodude.
