So you start with one cooking pot, you get three more by beating some of the worlds, but you also get three more by buying DLC.

However there are only for cooking pot slots. So can you set all seven out? Because if not, that's a huge ripoff.

I've played about 3 hours and I must say I do enjoy it. Got 10 Pokémon so far and up to the bosses in World 2 & 3.

DLC is not cooking pots, it is cooking pot positions

If you dont pay you basically upgrade your single cooking pot by replacing old with new

If you pay you have two/three/four going at the one time.

There's only four cooking pot slots. You only get one as a F2P player. The three for beating worlds aren't new cooking pot slots, they're just upgrades to the pots that let you put in more ingredients to get higher level Pokemon.

damn got Gob'd.

Regarding the mobile release. Am I correct to assume since this has F2P trappings, but doesn't need an internet connection to play, that the mobile release could be freemium? As in, could they possibly have a pay 10 bucks option to unlock everything without all the F2P purchase options? Cause I would gladly drop 10 euros on a one time purchase to play this.

It's already more or less freemium. There's 3 upgrade packs you can only buy once that make amount of time you can spend playing in one session much higher. Outside of that, you can buy some stones that are kind of uncommon but probably aren't worth the money and definitely aren't needed.

That being said, it's $30, not $10, and frankly...spend your money elsewhere lol. This game's incredibly grindy and there's zero depth to the gameplay.

Oh my mistake then, thanks!

If I keep enjoying it I might have to buy some of them lol. At the very least, besides the weird $3 power ups the DLC doesn't seem like a ripoff for a f2p game. Nice.

First mon out the pot? An Onix....I was not happy looking at his attack.

This fucking guy has tanked EVERY SINGLE FIGHT! He is a godsend and rock type is my new fave. (Sorry squirtle, you die too much)

Question: does attack type matter? I sometimes see yellow damage. Is the super effective damage different here?

Played last night. I think they did a good job for a passive Pokemon game. I wish though that i wouldn't have hit the paywall so soon.

I am not sure but I think Yellow might be a critical hit - not connected to type. The game can proc crits but I am not sure how to read them

I have a Kadabra with a 14.2% crit chance, and a see a few yellows from him every now and then

Same here. This Oddish is my first non story related shiny Pokemon I've gotten in my entire lifetime of playing Pokemon games. I'm not sure how I feel about this, lol.

I'm completely stuck on lvl 3... none of my mons seems to endure the hits of Poliwrath.

This is my current team

DeiLvQIV4AADGT3.jpg:large

I know, Scyther is an issue with that low life, but is SO heavy hitter that i just... can't swap it.

EDIT: NVM, just as I posted it, then tried again and killed it. Welp.

This is in fact the worst game I have ever covered.

Once you guys reach towards the end you'll see.

The AI doesn't seem very good at utilizing Flamethrower. Fairly often my Vulpix will use it while too far away from anything to cause damage. It's still cool though with the scattershot stone. I tried putting it on Pidgey's Gust first, but that move sucks with it. It forks immediately and then both whirlwinds shoot right past whatever's in front of you. The stone that widens the range of attacks is pretty cool on Gust, though. It still makes a second whirlwind, but it trails behind the first one so it's still basically double hits.

Y'all figure out how to evolve an Eevee in this game? Mines level 21 and I want it to evolve already lol

Eevee is supposed to Evolve a Lvl 36, and there she is supposed to evolve based on which slot you have it in you team. Red will give you Flareon, Blue Vaporeon and Green Jolteon. Not 100% confirmed, but a few people have mentioned this (reddit and elsewhere), and it seems like evolution could be slot dependant.

Based on how the game is laid out, rushing to the end would make it feel really bad. It is a grindy game at heart, so you are going to have a bad time if you push to the end in little over a day.

So was I

But when you get to a point that you need to do 10+ hours of grinding to get past 1 level, the fun is out the window

So far I'm enjoying it but I don't think it's worth 30 bux (the package that pretty much gets you everything). So I'll play it while it's fun and probably drop it when I get bored (same as what happens to every F2P game I've played... though this does seem more freemium with how they've set the microtransactions so I'm a little less against paying for it on principle except I just don't think it's worth 30 bux).

I guess I lucked out finding a Machop that knows two moves, rolling kick and bulk up? A move that ups its defence and attack, coupled with a blue badge it can up my entire team.

Someone on Youtube said that the game gives 1 shiny to each player to entice them to on spending more on the game.

Did you buy the expansion packs? Just curious if it's that bad even with all the extra advantages.

Yeah I'm curious as well.

No offense to your post (the one you're responding to), but your assessment and "review" need context. Help us understand what the issues are so we know if we want to invest money or more time into the game.

Then where is my shiny, I'm up to world 5 and I don't have one.

Exactly. Is a game intended to be played at short bursts.

This is in no way the worst Pokémon game. Better than Dash and on par with (the first) Rumble.

Pokémon Dash has redeeming qualities.

All this game's redeeming qualities are out the window
With all due respect, these posts seem kind of kneejerk, can you maybe elaborate more on what it is that made you take such a turn? I don't think "the grind is long" should come as a surprise for a game like this.

This is real talk right here. The power level jump in some of the later levels is obscene. It's made worse that the drops you get aren't enough to make up the difference. You better hope you have a optimal party so you can get the maximum bonus.

I'm on the boss world of 9 and the last three levels on world 10. I beat everything else so far. It does get kinda grindy but I could beat those 12k power level bosses with 7k or 8k teams. Maybe it's luck of the draw with my Pokemon but I didn't find the grind particularly obscene.

Was really enjoying this but the dodge mechanic doesn't work very well. Coupled with the freemium time gates on content really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Think I'm done with this until the real games come out in the fall.

I figured there had to be some kind of harsh wall given how fast you move through the early stuff and how small the island is. Wonder how far I'll go before I just walk away.

Wow. My first shiny in this game and it's Abra. At least Alakazam looks alright shiny, but I already have a Kadabra I use pretty regularly.

I keep reading the thread title as Pokemon Conquest and now I wish they'd make another one of those.

I've yet to try this, but general opinion seems positive? That's neat.

I hope people playing this are using buttons and not the shitty fake mouse cursor thing

L and R swap to which pokemon is selected
X and Y are the abilities
B is to scatter

So the leveling system though training is a joke right? I get like 1 mon every 2-4 turns, and they want me to sacrifice like 4 mons just to get one level up?

My shiny Ponyta is great but it only has one move. Not sure how I feel about that.
Also I picked Pikachu as a starter by accident. It sucks.
