I hope they do a few more things in the overworld as well. Whatever relevance the "well they'd have animate 800+ monsters" argument had certainly is weakened if they're even willing to do that for ideas (at the time) not even implemented.
Hold the phone.
1) Show Jolteon some respect, that dog aint a rat.
2) You can't even evolve the Eevee into Jolteon anyway.
The lighter line work is an improvement, and it feels much more natural. Personally head over heels for the new look.
Definitely a thing to be excited about. The protag designs make me optimistic they won't be too wild, while making reference to all the different iterations of the Kanto leaders, and I can even see design cues being taken from HGSS.

Newtwo, the natural Mewtwo evolution of Mew. Which is why Mega Mewtwo exists.

A random Pokémon like Kecleon, Azurill, and Wailmer before Gen 3 or Munchlax before Gen 4.
I'm thinking mythical. And I bet it's going to be the protagonist of the next movie.
could be gorochu, or a sneak peek at a GEN VIII 8 pokemon to get the pokemon GO crowd to buy the GEN VIII games
Would be hilarious if it actually is Eternal Floette desoite Ishihara saying uts 100% New. The pokemon company tends to use new way too loosely with those kinda stuff.
I don't think we'd get an eevee evolution when only 1 of the 2 games stars an eevee. Which is a shame as I'm ALWAYS down for more eevee.
That starter eevee doesn't evolve. And you can catch a normal eevee in either version.
Oh I know, but it doesn't seem like something gamefreak would do as the only new pokemon. It's almost certainly a mystic or legendary. I doubt we could 'guess' what it'll be easily. More fun to try and guess typing.

It would be pretty wild if we get a Mythical before Gen 8 even comes out. Has that ever happened before?
Closest I can think of is Munchlax being in XD, and Bonsly being playable in that same gen 3 game in a few side modes. This would be going further of course!
My best guess is that it's a mythical to promote gen 8 as a bridge of sorts. Alternatively, maybe its a new evolution of a popular Kanto Pokemon tk promote gen 8.
You can get a Manaphy egg in Pokemon Ranger to transfer into Diamond. While it's not the Pokemon itself, it's pretty damn close.

I would honestly appreciate it if Voltorb and Electrode had variations based on other pokéballs.
If it's going to be a mythical, I'd at least like an interesting way to obtain it. I don't want a deliveryman, I want to catch it and name it please.
Hey this talk reminds me of something: I remember Pixelpar mentioning that the USUM Ultra Beasts were meant for a Switch game. Did he ever clarifiy if they were meant for Let's Go or Gen 8?
Hey man if we got another Ultra Beast out of this, I'm fukin game. Love those mofos, they're basically an excuse to make crazy ass Pokemon unrestrained by flavor. Like Celesteela almost feels like they made the movepool before the design, with it having crazy ass moves for its typing like Leech Seed and Flamethrower!

But that's not 100%, right? I've been wanting Missingno to be canon ever since it was the first Pokèmon I caught (I was playing a friend's copy, he showed me the catching tutorial & about HM's, then I thought this "Cinnabar Island" looked cool...).
UB Missingno would be the one thing that could redeem Let's Go for me.
We got Sonic, Cloud, & Bayonetta in Smash, & it's looking like Ridley's next. Anything's possible if you're loud enough, & I intend to bring the noise.

I mean, Pokèmon's done stuff for the fans before, & I'm sure at least James Turner know how popular Missingno is in the 2nd biggest market.
MissingNo as an ultra beat would be the coolest thing to happen in the series since figuring out getting Mew required just as convoluted a sequence of events as all the rumours were 5 years later.
