The one on the left side? I think it's just a man obscured by mist.
You can't forget fans of Assassins Creed, who have been begging for a Feudal Japan Assassins Creed since the first game, lol.My most anticipated game of the year. For some reason, I just love the setting of ancient Japan after I lay my eyes on Onimusha on the PS2; the bamboo forest, the ghostly castles and the rice fields. Hopefully they get the combat and the setting right and I can see fans of Onimusha, Tenchu and Ninja Gaiden will flock to buy this game.
Right, sorry I have never plays Assassins Creed. lol I only played those 3 which I'd mentioned and this game seems to bring back some fond memories. You can't forget fans of Assassins Creed, who have been begging for a Feudal Japan Assassins Creed since the first game, lol.
Yeah, this game is looking so fucking good.
Open world action stealth, so Tenchu or MGSV but with swords and bows.

This is Red Dead Katana people. No supernatural stuff in this one is my bet.
I still don't understand why Ubisoft hasn't made an AC game set in feudal Japan yet. It seems like an absolute no-brainer. I've heard speculation that they wouldn't feel comfortable tackling a non-western setting but they just made a game set in Egypt so I think that's a moot point.
I'm really interested in what the OST will be, especially when exploring the world. Will it be mostly silent like in BoTW, or constant BGM such as Witcher 3?
Japanese traditional music is beautiful, the more the merrier imo.
I tend to not use that as a comparison point mainly due to the perspective, which I assume Tsushima will follow Infamous routes with its 3rd person, while Batman is over the shoulder RE style.Or like... Batman Arkham City
Which is also very open world action stealth.
I recall them saying very early in the series that they wanted to avoid settings that were overdone, which I guess feudal Japan was, at the time.
Well it si called the Ghost Of Tsushima. You can't be called a ghost if you are not supernatural. :D
Hm. It's good that they included the option, but I can't help but think it would be incredibly jarring to hear natives of feudal Japan (is it feudal?) speaking English.
Actually considering the main character is the last of his group that was supposed to have died but didn't and still 'haunts' the Mongols, using the term 'Ghost' in a non-supernatural way actually makes more sense.
Always frustrating because that hasn't been the case for some time. I'm a bit sick of the periods that they pick myself.
"The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan--until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But, honorable tactics won't lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting--the way of the Ghost--as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan."

"Steel and swordsmanship – you must master both to survive in this colossal quest across 1274 Japan, where the Mongol army has taken over Tsushima Island. Don your armour, sharpen your katana and strap on your longbow as you assume the role of Jin, a battered samurai who remains the island's only hope against the ruthless Khan and his vicious empire.
Through swaying bamboo forests, ornate castles and luscious landscapes one brave soul must fight back against overwhelming odds. Can you build your legend as "the Ghost" in a bloody tale of betrayal and sacrifice, inspired by classic samurai stories?"

For people wondering about 100% realism being the target ;
It's possible the "Ghost" part in the title, combined with the imagery at the end of the reveal trailer looks like the protagonist may actually be someone who died, either to begin with or very early in game. This would leave it open for some sort of spirit abilities or supernatural magic to be viable in the story or gameplay, whether it's a personal plot like The Crow, or one on a bigger scale. Think being a samurai by day and a literal ghostly ninja at night. Being able to become a ghost (possibly only at night in game) sure would make stealth interesting if you could pass through one wall with a cooldown timer for example. As long as the enemies don't get buffed with powers and are challenging in other ways, it can retain a single element of curses and spookiness in the main character while keeping everything else grounded.
Even RDR had elements that had a weird supernatural tone (I Know You sidequest). I certainly think a supernatural element could very well fit the game, and it wouldn't bum me out at all if they don't go for 100% realism. The characters in the game can call me a demon and that'd be just fine with me, lol.
This is gonna be their own breakout hit like Horizon was for GG.
Well, Witcher 3 also had that, but that game turned out fine, right? It just depends on how its handled.Well, I'm afraid it will be another open-world game with going from one icon to another...
