Someone spoil me on what the post-game is like? I'm finding myself having fun with this game so far.
Key to victory is buffs and status effects.
My most reliable team only has one main attacker.
Onix with Rock Tomb and Rock Throw
Cloyster with Iron Defense
Magneton with Charge and Supersonic
Buff team with Iron Defense and Charge, Rock Tomb with Whack-Whack and spam Supersonic.
Confusion is so OP. Once you get the boss confused it basically kills itself.
[Edit: I just beat the World 10 BOSS (16,200) with this team and my power level is just 10,693+1,694 bonus]

It's WAY too loud. I noticed that early on. Not sure what's up.
Also, Swapzism is correct in that solid buffs will do WORK. Pair any sort of def boost with some solid share stones and you're aces.
Am I experiencing a glitch? I'm trying to get some good electric Pokemon for the last world, but every single recipe I make in the silver pot nets me something in the low 30s, regardless of which one I make. I'm netting the same shit from recipes that take 3, 6, and 7 expeditions. Pretty god damn frustrating.
I mentioned this a few pages back as well, the sound effects are the culprit. I found the music to be an acceptable level but the sound effects hurt my ears at a normal volume.
The most annoying thing about it is it has the be one of the only games in recent memory that doesn't have separate music / SFX / voice sliders. :( Come on Nintendo patch this in please.
It's pretty good on Onix with harden. You can put three stones in that raise the effectiveness of the ability on allies, which makes them quite tanky.
Well, on the final boss. Currently got a team at 14000 that can get Mewtwo to about 40% HP. Fuck is this game a boring grind. They really needed to develop a lot more worlds. There's not enough unique stuff that happens to make the grind as fun as it needs to be in a game like this. I'd quit, but I'm this close to the end anyways.
I beat him at 11,000. MVP: Onix with harden and three stones applied that share the effect. Beastly! I've been punching above my weight ever since I added him.
I've got a level 100 Onix with sandstorm and rock polish, a level 89 Alakazam with reflect, and have been alternating between ~70 Mr Mine with Substitute and Reflect/Magenton with Confusion. Both teams get him down to about 40% HP but get wiped by his dumb ass explosive attack.
It's the Sharing Stone. 25% of the effect shared per stone, so with three it's almost the full effect if you have a single move Onix.
I beat him with a lv. 55 Onix that only has harden, a lv. 55 Alakazam that has dazzling gleam and light screen (which I added a sharing stone and stay strong stone to), and a Ninetales at lv. 44. I got a bit lucky, because Onix tanked a lot of those big attacks once you drop the boss below 50% health, and Alakazam managed to dodge out of the way of the attack a couple of times using dazzling gleam. Using the command to disperse your team can also help dodge the attack. The entire team constantly had light screen and harden applied for higher defense and debuff resistance. I also had each Pokemon loaded up with health back on hit stones as well as natural healing stones.

Even better, go with a Machamp or something with Bulk Up. Same Defense boost, but an Attack boost too
Im stuck at 10 and 9 boss, being trying to farm items to make new pokemon but is taking so long. Also i tried to teach psychic to my alakazam but no luck :(
HP heal on hit was the key for me. I had an Alakazam that got back to 100% every time he attacked and an Onix and Golem that knew Harden.
If i knew it i would came complain earlier, just beat 9 boss :D now i have to farm up to beat 10 boss.
It's definitly Grundy. Are those 3 Pokemon the same type and getting a type benefit?
I've made it to the final challenge without paying anything, but the best team I can put together right now maxes out at around 12,500 points. I can't decide if I need to sacrifice some attack power to keep both Golduck (knows amnesia) and Omastar (knows withdraw) on my team, or if I should drop Golduck and add my Alakazam with psychic.
Hmmm, just found out the free-to-start game costs at most $47.93 for me. ($50.91 if included taxes)

Right now I have a lapras, a porygon and a ponytail. Pretty decent but they all have 1 move. I can switch them for wartortle and jynx when necessary
You need to be taking advantage of the bonuses in later zones.
Wait, seriously? Would you still recommend a one move machamp for 3 slot sharing stones? Also how bulky is Machamp? Does he hold up better than Onix?
Youtube came to the rescue with a build to beat the final boss prior to post game, as mentioned elsewhere that combo of supersonic and harden works wonders. Now with access to gold pots first run of some standard ingredients go a level 93 pidgy and rattata lol but also a 88 geodude with harden so that one can be my main guy for a while, now to do some lower level areas on auto so I can cook some more gold meals.
He's not as bulky but if you add some stones with Hit Healing, his small hits will recover him significantly
Just unlock Mewtwo level :D now to grind a bit more just in case hahaha

Can legendary show up on 12-1? So far that is the only stage i can beat, and i have being farming that non stop.
