So many animated movie trailers this week. And we still have a How To Train Your Dragon 3 trailer coming out this friday.
This looks amazing. So much energy and so hype. My heart was pumping throughout the whole trailer.
That is gorgeous. The art style and everything. You can sometimes see zip tone texturing on stuff. I NEED MORE.

Looked really good. Now I'm sure they're drawing on 2s or even 3s. Glad they are, really lets them push the art direction of each individual frame.
Just because CGI gives you the ability to draw on 1s doesn't mean you have to in every case. It depends on the type and style of the movie. And in this, an old stop motion-ish feel works really well.
If I had one problem with the trailer it's that Spider Gwen appeared a little to abruptly. I'm sure it doesn't happen like that in the movie and trailers have to fit a lot in but still. Everything else was top notch though.

what's with the blurry background. it's so distracting. animation kinda choppy in certain parts as well, felt like high budget telltale games or a low budget cg movie.

It's something a lot of CGI animes do, they render at a lower framerate in a futile attempt to imitate the quality of traditionally animated productions. It's of course a failure.
That aside, it sure looks nice. I wonder how will the public react to an animated movie that looks so different from the norm.

oof, I'm really not a fan of low framerates in 3d animation. especially when you're not even mimicking a 2d artstyle
Are you sure? I was obsessed with Miles Morales for awhile there and I don't remember his dad ever being a cop. I remember he moms was a nurse and his dad used to be a criminal turner Shield agent. There was a black male cop character in the early issues of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man but that wasn't his dad.
