$10 for 40-60 minutes of content? I enjoyed the raid but let's not get crazy.
OK I lied, maybe I have bad technique but open world Patrol/PE/Sector token farming seems pretty slow.
Just looted a sector with 3 renown, pretty slow going, and it gave me I think only 4 tokens.
I bet the strikes are, sadly, faster.
Oh well I need to level up my alts anyway and they help with that.
Bout to hit up reddit to see if they've got fastest technique best practices anywhere.

I was grinding my brothers guy he wanted sweet business and since I already had my crimson I helped him out (had day off). Now I can play my guy but don't really care about the 50 tank rewards so just gonna chill. The Shadders are ugly to boot.
Wear full faction armor.
Do Daily Faction Rally milestone.
For renown:
Do a Heroic Public Event first.
Do 2 patrols without dieing.
When you get Level 5 Renoun.
Do a Lost Sector without dieing.
do Daily Faction Rally Milestones on you other characters
8 hours for me....doing 12 hours night shifts is killer for play time. Good news is that I have the next 7 days off. Let the grind begin

I love getting 5 renoun and the servers booting to orbit before I can get to a lost sector. That's the best.
You can blow them up to damage enemies but they are largely useless.
Previously, they would be what would give you Faction tokens but now it comes from looting the Lost Sectors. They're not really needed anymore.
I'm doing the Titan grind. I don't think it's faster than EDZ, but it's a lot easier. The walkers and ritual go down really fast and the lost sectors are some of the fastest to clear. However, there is a lot of down time. On EDZ there is always another PE to do. On Titan you're waiting quite a bit. I like it better though, a lot more chill and relaxing.
It may be a daily challenge, usually say destroy enemy supplies in lost sectors.
the Ogre Lost Sector on the Rig (Titan) is indeed the easiest Lost Sector in the game
?? By the time you finish one nightfall you could raided at least 2-3 lost sectors with a 5 stack
Getting renown during Escalation Protocol and having to suicide multiple times is so dumb.
Pretty sure this would have come up in their testing and they let it remain anyway.
Should be a way to turn it off for things outside of patrols and public events, or allow EP to give faction tokens.

Sunshot catalyst is somewhat annoying. You have to get kills using the explosion.
The easiest way is start an EP and get a huge gaggle of Thrall. The problem is while I'm gathering them up, some random will come by and kill them.

Yeah that's what I've decided to do. Only rank 11 so got a while to go but Titan seems to be same speed as EDZ but a lot easier. As a Sentinal I just make sure I have my special ready and I can run into the lost sector, nuke the boss and get the loot in about 30 seconds. I think I'll be 50 by Sunday at the latest, have about 8-9 more hours of grinding left.
You only get renown for beating the public events. EP doesn't grant it.
The northern lost sector on mars seems good, tight spaces and lots of hive. Also this week's Warmind meditation is Will of the Thousands, seems good too.
Yes, but when public events show up as part of EP, you forcibly get renown and have to suicide multiple times to get rid of it.
Also you can't do patrols during EP for the same reason.
Yep, ran into this issue last night. You'll end up with 3 renown from the PE during EP and either suicide 3 times fairly quickly or live with it but the latter is hard to do with a full team when trying to get through a Level quickly.
I like the idea of global modifiers but it shouldn't seep into EP as that's definitely not a place for that particular modifier.

I want that New Monarchy ornament, but the one requiring full Faction set is killing me, the fking Titan Mark won't drop for me :(

Now that I got the expansion I am incredibly lost. What are people using as legendary primaries nowadays? Is Endless Midnight still good?
What's a good second slot weapon? I've been switching between Coldheart and Graviton Lance.
Any of the raid weapons stand out? I stopped playing after I got one of each so I don't know if they're good or not.
And most importantly - any particular warlock exotics I should be watching out for? I'm using that Eye of Another World helmet.

Use Destiny Item Manager at https://app.destinyitemmanager.com, check your inventory, anything higher than 4 stars is good. For Warlock exotics get Nezarec's Sin, Lunafaction Boots, Verity's Brow and Sunbracers.
WTH, you're limited to one encrypted/decrypted cache key for EP per week? How did I use 3 on one character last week? I got the cloak, boots, and gauntlets and last night after reset I got the chest piece. Now I'm just done for the week? I can't even get an encrypted key and decrypt it for next week?
Would you all say it's a good time to jump in the game? I'm waiting till E3's week to see if it drops price and I'm thinking of buying it.
Always been this way. You can only hold one decrypted, one encrypted and 7 fragments if you did not open the chest in the previous week(s).
In the week that you make the encrypted key from Ana, you can't make anymore. But you can hold 7 fragments for the next week.
If you did not use one key in a week, you can get another key to catch up, 3 keys maximum.
