I'm assuming we'll start the game several months after a war has erupted, then, with some backstory through data pads, or terminals, or chatter, etc as we continue playing. Very nice trailer; I've always wanted more wildlife in missions to give it a more immersive feel. I remember giant floating jellyfish in one trailer, so I'm hoping you guys put some other interesting creatures into the game. Given the scenario we left off, I'm imagining a rag tag collection of uniforms, weapons and vehicles. It will take place after the events of Halo 5 but feel new to new players. Remember how Halo CE woke you up in the middle of a war your had apparently been fighting?
It will continue the story from H5 but will be built in a way that makes it a good place to start your first halo adventure .
I guess I should be more specific and say animals of...sufficient biomass. It seemed like nothing big enough for the flood to use remained on the rings.Halo 1's ring has animal noises in the outdoors, fish thingies in the ocean, and bugs floating around in the 343GS swamp. Halo 2's ring has birds that you can actually shoot and kill.
Be still, my beating heart. This makes me wonder if they'll be ditching the advanced armor abilities (sprinting, ground pound, etc).

Its amazing you drew that conclusion from engine footage.
Not a single second of gameplay.
The helmet/gauntlet designs look almost identical to Halo 3:

We need a name for the recent trend of E3 presentations aimed, at least in part, at touting the company to prospective employees. EA has mastered that and this appears to be something similar. Still, I'm incredibly excited for a new Halo game (even if it's pivoting away from the excellent art style used in 4 and 5).

Speculation is all they left anyone with.
Have to agree. Really ugly marines. Excited for new single player halo. Hoping multi-player isn't too different.
Both designs are in the canon so we could see both in the game, I don't care "how much the complaint has to do with canon", that wasn't my point.
Do people want a God of War style reinvention of the Halo franchise.Yes, IMO nothing looks new. Nothing screams that this is something we haven't seen before from Halo. What's more amazing is that you didn't draw that conclusion.
That's a pelican dude. Halo 1 doesn't even have drop pods, you can even see a picture of the pelican damage on the screen inside the pelican.Everyone saying that was the inside of a Pelican - pretty sure that's the interior of the drop pods from Halo 1 instead.
You said it brothaGood, those abilities never belonged in Halo. Halo is at its best when it's a medium paced arena shooter.
It definitely looked real time to my trained eyes. Not that that doesn't mean the game's development will necessitate downgrades to make everything work properly when the final product comes around.
Lol. What? This was their chance to reinvigorate Halo. Instead we get Infinite.
Surprised to see people saying this, but I am personally fond of Reach's art style. Out of curiosity, what Marine design in the series do you think are the best?

Oh absolutely I'm sure everyone wants to work on Respawn's Star Wars game after that exhilarating announcement. We need a name for the recent trend of E3 presentations aimed, at least in part, at touting the company to prospective employees. Looks almost like a mix of the 343 Battle Rifle and the Bungie one to me. Definitely looks more gun like than it did in the previous 343 games.Still using the ugly Battle Rifle design I see, unfortunate. Armor looks a lot better though!
He means the escape pods. That's a pelican dude. Halo 1 doesn't even have drop pods, you can even see a picture of the pelican damage on the screen inside the pelican.
Takes place after Halo 5? I thought this was its own thing. Why the title change then?
Thank god for the new (seemingly more simple) artstyle. The last two games have been simply too much.
Also if Blue Team is in this, please do them some damn justice.
I think it could have worked if they didnt need to focus on Osirus too. The dynamic was there, it could have been great,.Blue Team, as much as fans love them, and it was great to see them in game, didn't work. The whole extended cast just took away from the Chief.

People are clamouring for a return to Halo 1-3 style games. The art style looks sweet, a focus on Cheif is MUCH wanted.
For the new. The hints were there. The trailer hinted at a more open world/land scape. The presence of wild life was a focus too.
Lets wait for gameplay before writing it off completely.
