Devil May Cry 5 Reveal Trailer (PS4/XB1/PC - Spring 2019)

Notice he has the black vein stuff in his hand.
That's why i'm saying this guy is Vergil, those are not tatoos, is the corruption flowing through his body. The coat has a weak blue tint, and the hair is white( it looks black/gray because of the lightning in the artwork)
THIS IS VERGIL, i'm 100% sure of it.
He looks like he's also holding an unsheathed katana in his right hand
Here's a quick side by side comparison between DMC4 and DMCV Nero's animations. A lot of these are obvious, but I thought it'd be fun to be able to watch them next to each other:

Lock-on Side Roll (in lieu of or in addition to universal dodge?):

New Aerial Charge Shot or Mobility Move? Nero didn't have Skystar in DMC4:

I was initially off put by the art style and featuring Nero as the primary character, BUT... Nah, I'm definitely still excited. I think Capcom's late 2010s character art style is going to be this kind of photoreal look across all their games.
Nero's grown into a bit more of a DMC lead now, IMO. I used to think he had good visual design and gameplay design, but his personality was annoying... Looks like that will no longer be the case as far as I'm concerned.

DmC also did the whole limbo thing where the demons weren't actually present in the real world. This is clearly not that.
DMC5 looks exactly like what I would expect an RE engine DMC to look like, nothing to do with DmC.
The scanned faces are really the only thing that need getting used and that's only because of how anime the previous ones were.
Ya know, this is the BEST trailer so far of E3 2018. The surprise, the action, the music, the pacing. Everything I want from a trailer is here. CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So in the original Devil May Cry, the Knight that Dante fought was Vergil, right? I never beat 2, but what is Vergil's role in that story? 3's a prequel... Does he appear in 4?
And is Dmc cannon or a feverish dream?
The main thing that were wrong are engine and where it was eventually shown. There wasn't mention of Xbox One but he did clarify later on that it will come to Xbox One too.
Everything else is correct on there and there is a lot of things to get correct. 3 playable characters, release date is correct, even the logo having a "V" on it (there is a giant V in the background), Nero/Vergil confrontation, showcase at E3 and not at PSX (remember that leak predates even PSX/TGA) etc. The rest of the stuff we need to get hands on the game to check though. I think there is enough benefit of the doubt here that he be let go but I would advise SoS to double check sources next time more LOL!
I'm excited, but knowing there won't be a real DmC 2 hurts. Please let this be better than DMC 4
I thought the bosses and some parts were more DMC4 than DmC. After watching it again, only Nero and the early parts of the trailer looked DmC. It seemed to take the best of both worlds and merged it.

I feel you, I have no idea why they decided to go with this style and design, the only DMC thing here is gameplay, everything else just feel alien.

I think Virgil will be the villain and the tattoo guy will be a completely new playable character.

Looks like he will be able to set 'traps' ala Nina from Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter, guessing there will be many kinds just like with her.
It's not Quicksilver since it only effects the specific enemy he sets it on.

Vergil is clearly a direct antagonist so I'm not sure if he fits the mold of this "V" character.

I still think his source lied to him and all of that stuff were just safe bets from him, you don't change an entire engine in 6 months man.

Wait, didn't something say that the third character uses demons to fight with? Or was that speculation?
