So around 1.400.000 km in diameter. Considering the speed limit of 600 km/s Holden should not be worried about reaching the other side too soon, it would take 27 days to travel across.
Edited: by the way, if Hub Station is on the center of the Dandelion Sky it would take at least 13 days for Holden to reach it. How it is addressed on the books?
You know, thinking about it I don't believe they ever mention running into the sides in the book. It's not a concern for them as far as I remember. Also they're inside there longer in the book so that accounts for the long travel times. Seems like a TV sacrifice.
No, she fired
Not entirely sure the book fully went into what it was doing. Best guess, defensive countermeasure, from having multiple "too fast" objects, inside the station.Anyone got an idea what the station was trying to do before that idiot marine threw his grenade?

I thought in the book some kind of "mechs" spawned? I don't remember it very well.
I think the episode was good, but some of the cgi is really poor. I hope the show gets a higher budget on amazon. Everything in the ring just doesn't look as mindblowing as it should.
Huh. I prefer the telly version. The Martians had just fired on Holden, and realizing that wasn't going to work, they moved towards him with plans to subdue him physically. They then got startled by this mech thing, that started moving towards them. Some of them shot at it, with the same results as before. Then one opened up a grenade launcher and fired. After it exploded on the mech, the shooter got taken apart, and more mechs started appearing around them. But they didn't go towards the Martians/Holden, they went to the "carcass" of the 1st mech, and ripped it apart. Afterwards, they gathered in the spot of where the blast happened, and liquefied themselves, along with the remnants of the soldier and the first mech.
Waiting for them to get into what's going on inside her
Ahhh. Makes sense.Yeah, Bobbie wasn't there with the Martians, who also pretty much just opened fire on Holden right off the bat. They weren't really there to "stop/arrest him" like the show, but as a means to get back their ship.
Ahhh. Makes sense.Though it's funny they're sill interested in getting their ship at this point. LOL.
Ahhhh. They definitely are in pursuit over the bombing, but they're using that as a cover.
Bobbie doesn't seem to have gotten through with the book martians as much as the TV show martians.
Miller talkes about the mechs, before the Marines showed up. That they are "whatever they need to be"
There's not enough posters here to do that for this series, it's barely enough now. But I'll hold back on talking about the books.I really appreciate the Game of Thrones threads keeping book readers and non-book readers separate. Pretty annoying filtering through most posts with "book spoilers" sections in it, and half of the non-spoilerized posts here obviously having book context in it.
Ugh, guess I'll just stay out of this thread from now on.
and when the mech slowly unfolded from the wall, it was a pant shitting moment for viewers, I couldn't even imagine what that must be like in reality.
Goddamn, that ending! Fucking lol at the guy throwing the grenade immediately after seeing what happens to bullets. A sound plan, alright.
What the hell did Holden see when he put his hand in that thing? Was that the protomolocule infecting the sun and then making it explode? Is he seeing the future or a potential one or what? Or maybe the distant past when the protomolocule was created? Non-book reader here (no future spoilers) and I'm highly confused.
I guess we'll find out eventually.
Lots of cruel cliffhangers this season.

YES.
This is some Book stuff. But also just a really long sneak peak (over 3 minutes)
Her book 3 plot (a political one) appears to have been cut so they could finish book 3 within S3 and because it would have caused pacing problems.I miss Averasala :( I think she's just been in that 1 televised speech scene since the adaptation of the third book started. Does she completely sit out the third book as well? Please tell me she comes back!
Does she come back into it at some point?
Currently 7, with an eighth releasing this year and a ninth next yearJust finished episode 10. Holy shit. I need more now. So glad I'll be able to binge future seasons. Speaking of future seasons, how many books are there? This is one of my favorite shows and I don't ever want it to end.
Nice. Thanks.Currently 7, with an eighth releasing this year and a ninth next year
