I absolutely love how mad Kyle got at Damiani just so Blood confirmed it and then Jones ran it back questioning why Blood knew. Live podcasts are a ten out of ten.

Yeah no there is too much EZA E3 content, i only have 1-2 hours a day to catch up, i am being overwhelmed.

I need someone to point out the best/funniest moments outside of the conferences.

I don't know where Giant Bomb is recording, but I suspect it's not a garage.
Their sound will sound much better in a studio with decent soundproofing. I don't think that's easy to do in the garage.

But I haven't heard it, so I don't know how big the difference is.

Oh I completely agree a studio would make a world of difference, but my point is more, "should they just keep with the Yeti mics for better audio quality or is it a function of tweaking the balance in the mixer". GB's lav mics sounded essentially just like EZA's Yetis on the table.

I honestly think it's more the difference in recording space than anything else.
I personally don't have a problem with the Lav Mics (but I do agree that the old mics sound a bit better).
But I prefer the lav mics for podcasts and such because of how they look. I do feel that they are not the best fit for live shows where people have to constantly remove them and such.

Hmm. All their game previews have been excellent but I'll start to rank mine

Huber's Hitman 2 preview
Spider-Man discussion
Captain Spirit just for one specific moment at the beginning
RE2 discussion
Ben's Soul Calibur 6
Damiani's Days Gone
Dreams
Control

Hitman 2, Days Gone, Dreams and RE2 are the best, no doubt. Checking out the clips may be a good idea too, to catch stuff like Jones doing Keighley impressions.

Yeah, beginning to think it's best just to drop the lav mics until they get into a studio for anything that is consumed as a podcast. They can't get them sounding right in that space and when the content is just them talking, I'd much rather they sound as good as possible.

If you've been enjoying EZA's E3 coverage with impressions of show floor demos and presentations, I'd recommend checking out Game Informer's GI Show on YouTube or podcast services who have been doing a similar thing after each day and have cool impressions of what they see. And they've also been having panels of developers from different studios too just to talk about what its like for them to be at E3.

Giant bomb are recording in a hotel conference room.

About hitman, you can get the tutorial mission for free to get a feel for the game. I'm sure the disk is much cheaper than $60 at most stores.

And for that reason turned out to be way better than I was expecting. I started to get a bit more excited when Ian was also seemingly really interested in how the show turned out

I rewatched it again and paused it on the legal disclaimer. It's got some funny stuff that Ian clearly wrote. Plus a Turtle doves reference!

And they gained 20 new patrons after it aired

Also I want to say how amazingly they did the whole Better stuff for e3 and delivered on said promise. They had an great fundraising drive for equipment, was very upfront where all the money was going to, and you saw immediate improvements. And the step up was evident in their week of e3 coverage. Plus they adapted quickly during e3 as they went along. Adding in the patreon plug video, switching to the big mics for impressions, etc.

"And for that reason" was very fun to watch. I think to spice it up a bit, the judgement could be done live over skype with the creators of the pitch, and let us see that interaction. This is edited to feel like Dragon's Den, and a bit part of creating drama is the reaction from the creators. Another element that could add to the fun of the show (and increase the stakes) is to establish some kind of competition, where the submissions with the most In's by the end of a season would get a prize. Potentially pitches with the same high score would have to compete in some way.

In general I think the show could be really great with higher stakes involved. But if that all sounds complicated I certainly had a lot of fun with this format too.

The patron boost with just the ~2k watching on twitch was significant enough that they'd be stupid not to make the first one public. They need to promote these exclusive shows to their youtube audience because as it turns out, people are willing to pay for them, they just need to know they exist. Next week with an "episode 2 now out now on Patreon" would be swell.

Yes, I think what they should do with every Patreon exclusive content is to tease it on Youtube. First episode for everyone and if you want to see more, just go to Patreon and spend only one dollar.

And AFTR was way better than I expected too (didn't expect those "production values"), I think that first episode on YouTube could do well.

I think that all the episodes are already recorded (you can see this one was recorded before the new setup).
I really liked it. It was funny and to the point, and for that reason ... I'm in.

Also,

Is 50k within the realm of possibility.........

Their $ per patron average is still waaaaaaay too high to be comfortable, but yeah, you can kinda see the light at the end of the tunnel. Dunno, it is entirely possible E3 2019 will be in a studio.........

Bloodworth You guys haven't forgotten about top 10, right? Haven't seen that mentioned at all. Not on the site or by you guys.

Seems like reaction videos with no thumbnails get way more views on YouTube then ones with them? I guess it's more obvious what the video is that way idk

I just want to say that almost everything the Allies did ever since the "Better Stuff Before E3" stream has been golden. They're upping their game considerably and people are noticing. It's been a wonderful E3, keep it up during the Summer!

I did it! I finished all of EZAs E3 content. Amazing week of content. Now to play games!

The worst thing about E3 is my backlog screaming to catch up on games I own that have exciting sequels coming

And I'm excited for Easy Livin 2k8.
