Pinball FX is not an example you would want to use in this argument since you can play between Xbox and Switch, but you have to re-buy all your tables again on the Switch to do this.
I was just listing cross-play titles, not cross progression.
You seem to be missing his point. The point is this is just the beginning and that this isn't a sprint; it's a marathon. Expecting big changes in a short period I'll do if time is going to lead to disappointment. By all means don't give up but be realistic on how slow this is going to move. The same thing happened a year ago over Minecraft when it came to uproar and look where it ended up. The topic faded away. We went through this a year ago and very little has changed. This will happen, and pressure needs to be applied just people need to not get bored and move on when you don't get your instant gratification.
Well, the part that everyone is upset about is cross-progression (purchases and progress made on an account not carrying over). Just like Fortnite, Pinball FX does not allow this between Xbox and Switch, so it's a terrible example to use in this thread.
It's out this month (next week I think) and we know it's cross play between every single platform it's releasing on.

I'm assuming you are talking about NA, there is a whole a lot of markets out there, PS4 sodl the most last fiscal year, it's also a 5 year old system, it would be bad if Switch can't outsell it.

Because they use all platforms now for simple teasing. On PS4 you have a different pic there but it all leads to just one thing, the next season.

The PS4 wasn't expected to take every month of the year when a new console just released, launch aligned is a different thing.
They should do that one time period thing the warframe guys did allowing for pc users to transfer there account to ps4, I don't play warframe anymore because I don't want to play the ps4 version anymore. Transfers are possible, I don't know why Epic can't do it if its all there own shit. But warframe guys have talked about maybe one day allowing ps4 users to transfer to pc, but I don't think that ever happened.

The post I replied to was saying that DS3s weren't compatible out of the box due to "button layout". If that were such a concern or a viable reason, GameCube controllers would face a similar issue, dongle or not, since they lack Home buttons (and now Share buttons with the Switch, which was one of the precise examples listed in the post I replied to), among other major differences. So the fact that it can work with 3rd-party device assistance makes the argument that I replied to about why Sony themselves won't permit it even MORE bullshit.
Maybe look at what was replied to? Because yeah, the fact that using GameCube controllers requires a dongle doesn't invalidate that it has a VASTLY different button layout and still works across 3 consoles it wasn't designed for and doesn't share a point-for-point interface layout with.

I could honestly see them working on this right now. I'm sure there's a lot of account system infrastructure stuff they'd have to prepare.

I think many of the people trying to downplay this want this issue to go away, but in reality it's only to the determent of Sony because if they have enough people defending them over this they will never change heading into next gen.
One for homebrew, one as a back up for legit online play/in case the hacked one gets bricked. I mean, that's why I want a second one at least.
Switch is PERFECT for multiple consoles.
