Hey Bloodworth, would you consider soliciting comments from Patrons ahead of the Detroit Spoiler Mode? Since this game has so many endings it may be interesting to see how the EZA community's endings compared to those of the panel.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The latest issue of Gameinformer has a picture of Ben Hanson with Brandon, Kyle and Blood from when they shot the podcast together! Jolliest picture I've seen in there too!

(Obviously I can't post a picture from a magazine but it turns out this issue is actually free so just go on their site/app/whatever if you want to see it...and then subscribe to GI cause it's a cool magazine lol)

That mode 7 tho... sure doesn't age well.
I love it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is it really? Cause it's been on my list for a while. I suppose I'll check it out
It's super ambitious IMO, both in action combat, for its time, and in plot (it goes places and there is a decent amount of missable world building, let's say). Great music too.

Some graphical stuff is also quite impressive, when you finish certain dungeons, or with transparency.

I mean, the overworld map is daunting and can be seen as gaudy, sure. But Terranigma uses mode 7 for other stuff too, and there is (very minor thing that is clear from the get go but I dunno if Kyle reached it and how spoiler sensitive you are)
more than one overworld map anyway.

Watching Brandon with Geoff on YouTube's Sony pre-show.

Boogie is there on the panel. I love Geoff but I wish he would stop giving YouTube personalities that kind of focus and just focus on the actual professionals in the industry.

... Or, you know, at least go with YouTube personalities who haven't openly been apologists for GamerGate trash and white supremacists.

But that's just me.

The gaming industry is weird man, I remember last year Neil Druckmann tweeted a photo of himself at one of Notch's parties.

I can't stop watching the Allies' reaction to Fox being in Starlink. It's just so perfect, Damiani's callout, the ten-plus seconds of doubt by the other allies, and an explosion of hype. Such a perfect moment.

He was with Keighley during the press conference so you could check gameslice on YouTube to see if he said something there. I hadn't checked but read on twitch chat he Gave the PC a B- (I'm sure mostly due to the insanity of the moving the crowd)

As for games no I don't think there was anywhere else that I know of

Found the video, thanks! I hope we get more impressions from him during the E3 awards show. I like Keighley but he was constantly interjecting to steer the conversation his way.

I love Terranigma's underworld map. It's hard to depict that you're walking on the inside of a sphere, in a 2D top-down style. The only other game I've seen pull it off was Minish Cap, and it used a similar effect to do it. From Froggy Bells to Terranigma, Kyle's basically working his way through my favourite games.

Did kyle ever go into his thoughts on smash during the streams? I heard him say "don't even get me started on it" at some point, and I'd be interested to hear his perspective because everyone seems really high on it. But there's so much content to go through to find something specific like that haha. Did they do a "who won e3" kinda thing or is that still comming?

Yo can always check their schedule (in your local time zone) on EasyAllies.com. Indeed, for tomorrow, Group Stream Night: E3 Awards is scheduled. So eager to see that.

Wanna know what Kyle has to say about Smash.

A YouTuber to me - and I think this is a fair assumption - implies a solo or individual channel. Boogie, ninja, MKBHD, etc. EZA, Kinda Funny, etc I would say are companies, in the same way that Gametrailers or IGN are.
Sure, they are companies and they are youtubers as well.

Some of the biggest youtube channels are big companies (Good Mythical Morning (their company) and the Fine Brothers come to mind).
But I don't think you can say that those people aren't youtubers as well.

And what to do with The Slowmo guys? They are big youtubers and their channel isn't really a company. But they are owned by Rooster Teeth, which is a big company.

I don't think the line is as clear any more as you make it out to be.
Nothing wrong with being called a youtuber either.

Also, that thing Keighly does is set up by youtube. Of course he is going to call Kyle a youtuber.

EZA are gamejournalists, youtubers, twitch streamers and they are also a company imo.

I agree that the lines are much more blurred now. And yeah, technically Kyle is a YouTuber, but that is reductive and honestly a little disrespectful to EZA for Keighley to present him as. I'm pretty sure he announced a person from Rooster Teeth as so-and-so from Rooster Teeth.

I just don't like that he didn't acknowledge EZA and it felt like Kyle is just doing his own thing, freelancing at EZA or something.

Guys, I understand the problem a lot of you have with Boogie. The guy has done some not cool things, especially in regard to tacitly supporting some toxic movements in gaming. However, let's not pot-shot him for the rest of this thread. It is a bad look.

On last Friday nights stream he did go into some of it regarding a lot of topics from e3. Including some thoughts on smash, the direct, his motivations to doing the Geoff, etc. most of it was at the start of the stream

I think "youtuber" is borderline-useless descriptor, and for that reason I don't think it makes sense to use it. Effectively what it tells me is that you make some money by uploading videos to youtube. OK, cool, what kind of videos?

(Same deal with "content producer". What kind of content?)

It's not *entirely* useless, because sometimes there's no better word to use, but for EZA there are plenty.

People are still catching up with all of the E3 content so its fair game to keep talking abiut for awhile. I doubt it gets brought up again after like next week. It might get brought back up around E3 next year.

It's a worse look to defend literal white supremacists and Roseanne after she makes blatantly racist jokes.

You don't have to defend him. I just don't see the point of even mentioning him. This isn't a competition. If you want to have a discussion about how shitty Boogie is why don't you post a thread?

Guys, let's all calm down and discuss this together. What would Boogie do?
