Hunters have better gear for PVP and PVE in D2. Titans are getting shafted.

I can honestly count on one hand how many times I've seen the titan bubble being used in Destiny 2.

Yet I've lost count of seeing the hunter's tether.

And god knows what warlocks are up to.

Are there any statistics over what class is the most and least popular?
I remember titans being a big deal in the first game but I see more hunters in this one.
For me personally, I use my Titan a lot less because my hunter running arc with the exotic chest piece that extends the time of the super is more of a tank than the titan could hope to be. Why Bungie felt the need to kill off the bubble is beyond me, but in doing so they made the titan a lot less viable.

Yeah Titan exotics suck outside of one or two and the classes apart from Striker seem to be nerfed quite a bit. Ward of Dawn being crap and Warlocks seemingly getting these new healing and damage buffs in Forsaken is particularly annoying.

Amazing Lunafaction rifts that literally put Titan barricades to shame, and collecting all of those delicious Hunter tether orbs in order to feed tons of Nova Bombs, Palpatine lightning-channelling, and Dawnblade sword swings of fiery death. Basically, what we're supposed to be doing when joined by Shadowshot Hunters.

Looking to join a secondary group of PVE-leaning Guardians with fun, laid-back attitudes to chase weekly milestones with, raid, and maybe help me wrap up the old season 1 Legend of Acrius quest line when we're done with our current weekly activities. I'm NOT looking to ditch my current clan, but would like a second group of folks to have fun with during those weeks/months when my clan slows down between seasons. I'm not just looking to be helped, but am also willing to provide whatever aid I can while others chase down their own goals. Please hit me up via a PSN message or an Era PM instead of responding directly. Way more info and details below:

Hey guys. I'm looking to create (or preferably join) a secondary group of Guardians on PS4. Please note that I'm not looking to leave my clan. We're a successful group of 30+ buddies and acquaintances across Playstation and PC that has hit max faction rep each season without issue. I plan on sticking with them since a lot of them are good friends of mine.

That said, some of my core 8 raiders are starting to lose steam (and/or trying to avoid burnout before Forsaken), and it's gotten to the point where my usual group is no longer clearing 3-6 Nightfalls (3 normals, 3 prestiges) and 3 raids. Hell, last week we actually managed to not clear a single raid, a first since Warmind hit. Granted, it was a holiday weekend and scheduling conflicts happened. But I sense a slowdown, one I'm not quite ready for since I don't feel done with Warmind yet and am not worried about pre-Forsaken burnout.

I'm a 39-year-old male with a full-time job, a mic, a love for all things Destiny (primarily PVE), and tend to play every night chasing my weekly milestones on my Warlock (main), Hunter, and Titan. I have a long history with the franchise, having secured the platinum trophy for both games and completed all of D1's record books and triumphs without issue. I'm an avid raider and Nightfaller.

I'm looking for a similarly laid-back bunch of Guardians, men or women, young or old, that's also looking to make sure we complete our PVE weekly milestones, a bunch of Nightfalls, and maybe even a raid or two each week. And some Escalation Protocol, of course. My Warlock main has cracked 380 Light, and my Titan and Hunter aren't too far behind her, all with optimal, modded gear of course.

I'll occasionally hit up PVP. Usually to solo the Call to Arms weekly milestone (which I usually do NOT have the energy to do, though I'm starting to reconsider that since I'd love a Mida exotic catalyst), but have been known to Iron Banana with my clan every once in a while. I max-ranked IB in season 1, but haven't bothered in seasons 2 or 3, yet. I'm mediocre at best in PVP, and it usually takes me a number of matches before I find my groove and stop sucking completely. As for Trials? LOL. I did what I had to in order to visit the Destinty 2's Lighthouse equivalent for the platinum trophy, and that was that. Never touched that mode again. My only Flawless in D1 was due to a carry by two friends who could easily Flawless on their own, needed a third to get into the mode, I happened to be the only one around that weekend, and they didn't mind that I stuck around in the back trying to be supportive of their efforts without being disruptive.

My OCD is triggering me regarding having only 4/5 Braytech weapons, so when the Nokris strike rolls around again as the weekly Nightfall, I'd love to triple up with someone to do as many as it takes until I get that fucking Braytech rocket launcher and hit 5/5 Braytech weapons. My Sleeper Nodes are currently at 38/40, which also irks me immensely, but I don't think there's a damn thing teams can do about that. So that's on me.

I also haven't quite finished the Legend of Acrius quest line. My Warlock main has the weapon, and though she's cleared the prestige Leviathan raid, that was before I actually had the weapon, so I'm stuck on the final quest step for the ornament. My Titan and Hunter still have to do that special version of the Arms Dealer Cabal strike, and then prestige Leviathan raids. I'd love some company for all that. (I've cleared all of the world exotic quest lines and the Nascent Dawn quest on all three toons already. Legend of Acrius is all that I'm behind on).

I don't check Era nearly as much as I should, so I likely won't see any responses to this post. I apologize in advance. Era is blocked by my office's corporate filters, and my home time is usually dedicated to gaming.

Please, if you're looking to join me in my activities as discussed above, or better yet, looking for a decent and very experienced PVE player to join YOUR sessions, please hit me up via PSN. I'd like to create or join a semi-permanent group of laid-back, like-minded individuals looking to chase the same kind of content I habitually chase.

My PSN is Mejilan and I'm always down for some activities during nights and weekends. Particularly raids, nightfalls, heroic strikes, and escalation protocols. That said, I'm also down for company while knocking the more solo-friendly weekly milestones. Please, if you're interested or have openings in your PS4 groups, message me via PSN or PM via Era. I promise to get back to you as soon as I'm able.

If you've read this far, thank you for sticking it out. :)

Lik aren't you playing on OLED 24/7? No burn in?

Titan bubble and saint is good for blackout. And it's good for below players to build supers for better players. Also great for capping.

Question: I'm totally aware that there may not be an answer to this yet, but what should we expect for the viability of our existing sets of weapons for year 2? My understanding is that they will be able to be leveled up, correct? Are random rolls expected to outclass anything we currently have (potentially)?

I'm closing in on Redrix and it occurred to me that maybe it won't even be particularly useful in 2.5 months. Which, in turn, has me wondering if I and others trying to farm hard-to-get weapons like that or the Escalation weapons (that for some have required 100+ runs to get their desired weapon) are wasting our time. I hope they will still be good weapons when Season 2 hits and hopefully I'm just worried over nothing.

I guess I think about having done 70 EPs and the thought of starting that all over again hoping for some OP combination of random rolls for drops that are already very low is making me a little bit nauseous.

Hey, I like jade rabbit. It's a shadow of its former self but I enjoy using it.
carry on then, soldier.

I just...with so many viable exotics, I just don't see where Jade Rabbit is more than just an "I'm extremely bored, let me do something different for the sake of doing something different" sort of choice.

Maybe in a 3x Prestige NF where its nearly unlimited ammo and range could be useful and make it a useful choice. Otherwise...eh.

I spent countless hours trying to put together 6 to 9 player groups over the last few days and after 21 completions I finally got the shotgun to drop about an hour ago and I didn't feel excited, just relieved. I do enjoy playing D2 again, but grinding can really suck the life out of you. I wouldn't mind some higher drop rates for rare and e boric gear...outside of quests I'm not getting much for my time.

I am trying to figure out if I want this on the X or PC as I am going to play with controller. I mainly play just PVE. Is there any reason I wouldnt want to choose the PC over the xbox X. The pc version I can get around 100 fps 1440p on average so performance isnt really an issue. Not sure how kindly people take to people that dont play with kb&m on pc though.

Who gives a damn if someone has a problem with another player because they choose a different input device? The game plays beautifully with a controller on PC. I play with both input setups from time-to-time and don't have any problems competing in PvP on PC with a controller either. The FOV and much, much better performance is too good to pass up if available to you. FWIW I also play on the Xbox One X.

I would recommend an Xbox Elite Controller as it's the the best controller ever made.

Found out you can farm the luxurious toast emote on the first encounter in Spire on your Hunter since it bugs out. Works well, but I got it first try.

Maybe. All upsides except for burn in. Not going to use it for anything other than than the Pro. Maybe if I get nostalgic I'll get an X and play some OG titles BC on another level.

Nobody cares how you play on PC. For my money, the field of view is a massive plus on the PC side. Goes up to 105.

Also, with controller you get the same aim assist stuff as on consoles. I raided with a dude who played with an elite controller a bunch. Play where you want to play.

Finally played the Warmind DLC, having bailed after the Osiris DLC dropped. Got my warlock to 346, but I feel no compulsion to go any further. Played some PvP with my son and it seems mostly the same as before. I do think not playing for seven months got this game out of my system. Stuff I'd have been grinding with no problem in D1 left me nopeing out of this one. I guess I should thank Bungie for saving me loads of time. Still, once Forsaken is half price or less I'll pick it up.

An apparent quote from DeeJ at E3:

"As much as a superhero can be dead, Cayde is dead."

Permanently dead Cayde would be terrible so hopefully we somehow save the little guy at the end.

(I also really dislike the idea that you can apparently just shoot a Ghost and that equals permadeath for the Guardian. It really doesn't work well in this universe.)
Bringing Cayde back within the same expansion that killed him would be absolutely dreadful and completely kill the vibe.

If they had to bring him back, make it a whole story arc that lasts throughout year 2 within the content drops from the annual pass. Or if that's too long, at least wait until the first content drop in December.

And personally, I like how our Ghosts are our achilles heel. Immortality is pretty damn powerful, so we have to have some sort of weakness. I think it's really neat that we have to protect our little partner at all costs, otherwise we're on our last life.

Is the Midnight Coup in Benedict's loot pool? Meaning can I get it from turning in tokens? I know he sold it a while back.
No, Midnight Coup and Alone as a God are raid exclusive drops, Calus exclusive drops to be exact. You can only get armor, and everything else from Leviathan (not lair) from tokens.

Judging from whatever limited footage we had, the year 2 weapons seem to have some really good perks associated to them, and being able to roll synergy perks (like one pulse rifle with both outlaw and rampage) is going to push these weapons above most standard year 1 weapons we have now. I think only the exceptionally good weapons of year 1 like some of the raid weapons and IB weapons will still be viable. You can infuse the rest up yes but they are probably won't be competitive in any means.

Nah, I don't agree. The problem is that the game is too wacky and they made Cayde more slapstick as opposed to the nice balance they had with The Taken King.

Killing off the most popular character and face of the franchise is dumb. Using it as a marketing ploy instead of an actual shocking moment in the game is even worse and that is what kills the vibe.

It's more interesting if we get him back and we then get to see how losing his life and coming back -- thanks to people who care about him -- impacts him as a character. It would allow them to tone him down a bit and put him on a different path that we can see reflected when he speaks to us on Strikes and missions.

Sorry, I don't want Cayde gone from the game. He is part of its personality and none of the new characters in D2 have even come close to him (or any of the original D1 cast, to be honest).

And personally, I like how our Ghosts are our achilles heel. Immortality is pretty damn powerful, so we have to have some sort of weakness. I think it's really neat that we have to protect our little partner at all costs, otherwise we're on our last life.

You may have missed the point a bit. I didn't say the idea of it is bad. But it's simply too late into the lore of this series for it to make sense, which makes it feel random and cheap.

The point is that it doesn't make sense. If you could just shoot a Ghost and he's dead, it would happen all the time in this universe. A universe where player characters literally never die permanently because their Ghosts aren't getting shot and even NPCs manage to never have it happen to them. It's something that would be a constant real threat in the story but never has been.

It doesn't drop from the token engrams. Can still be sold afaik.

Not anymore, they were added to all 4 encounters of the Leviathan months ago. In fact, they drop way more often than other raid guns now.

Ca you elaborate on this? How do you farm the emote? can you do it solo?

There is a video of it being done solo, but I don't recommend it. The first encounter is bugged after you collect the powerful engram one time on a hunter. You can still get shaders, tokens, and the emote to drop on future clears.

Tried solo Castellum last night. I screwed up the order of the Standards and it was late so I stopped. Staying alive ain't too hard with an optimum path that someone on YT posted. Will try again this week. Something to do in this game as a challenge.

Is Alone as a God the sniper rifle? If so I did the raid last night and I got it from the Gauntlet.

Man, the fov of this game is already bad, but bought a brand new TV and it's even closer then before, really difficult to play.

Anyone happen to play on a TCL 6 series? And is fov decent for you? I was on a 43 inch tv and it felt perfect, now my picture is too zoomed in.

I'm useing 55" 615 model, already tried changing pictures aspect, other settings just zoom it in further. :/

Looks like an exclusive Iron Banner ornament for direct sale (silver) for the Fighting Lion fans out there.

Got full set of Hardy's armor from random Tess drops. Looks good with the Mercury Sunset shader. Armor itself is ugly but unique.
