so this is my first summer sale, do the discounts change daily or deals? Like AC:O is 29.99, not bad, should I wait or pull? any chance it might get a better deal?
Dailies are not a thing anymore. If it's a price you can stomach then get it because the prices won't change. Be sure to check other digital stores you use just to be sure you're getting the best deal because it's rare that Steam offers the best sale price anymore.

Open my wishlist to be greeted by a bunch of 20%'s off, key sites are cheaper than these sales.

Once upon a time there was stuff like that, but it's changed so the deals stay the same the whole sale. THIS SAID, I would wait a bit. Usually in the first few hours when traffic is high, not all sales are accurate and not all games supposed to be on sale are on sale yet. Give it a few hours and should all be sorted though.

The store is a mess. Can't search, no recommendations...god damn.

Steam store doesn't work right now! :(

It is just straight down right now, to see if it's performing better when it comes back online.

Possibly dumb question - can you not sort the Fanatical store by price or discount amount? Can't find any filters for it. Just want to see if there's any super cheap games that attract my interest...

It easily has 20+ hours of content atm if you do all the sidequests. The main story stops at around 50% in and that's what they have been working on.
Basically all areas of the game have been added and you can go through them and do quests and such. The main story is absolutely complete up to the point where it stops until they add the second half.
Hmm, I'd kind of rather not be stopped in the middle of a story, but it looks like they're targeting by end of summer for full release, so I might just get it and wait until then. Thanks for the heads up. Looks really interesting!

Anyone know if NBA 2k18 is a quality game outside of my career mode. (i heard about it not being worth it unless you invest money) I just want the mode that is like dynasty mode in madden.
Never seen a game rated so poorly so a bit skeptical.

Motorsport Manager any good?

MM is amazeballs.

Slick, clean presentation.

Smart, friendly tutorial that gradually introduces concepts.

Great introduction to the Sports Management genre.

Just be sure to head to the Workshop and nab FIRE Mod 2017 and ICE Mod 2018 after you go through the game's Tutorial.

FIRE/ICE are overhaul mods that completely licence the game 1:1 to the real-world sport. 100% authentic teams, drivers, liveries, sponsors, parts suppliers, news/media outlets. The whole shebang. Each mod features different race series (F1, F2, Le Mans, Formula E, Super Formula, etc.) That's why it's broken out into two mods.

Incredible mods and an incredible labor of love.

Just remember it's not compatible with the Tutorial. Grab the mod at any time, but only uncheck it before giving the Tutorial a go.

Xanadu Next is a phenomenal Action RPG by the maestros at Falcom, and at 50% off it's definitely worth price of admission.

The RPG Club will also be playing through it next month together so pick it up now if you want to join us!

Honest question: what exactly in this video is fun, what am I suppose to look at? Cuz all I see is running from one small room to another and clicking on enemy (90% of the time just the green slime that is barely animated) till they die. I already got the game but I just don't know how to enjoy it. Is it because I never played Diablo so I missed the PC ARPG train, or people are actually having fun just clicking on enemy?

Anyone know what's the difference between the Fallout 4 GOTY sale against the Fallout 4 + Season Pass?

EDIT: Nevermind.. it's just the season pass alone. Adding Fallout 4 GOTY to my list!

Here is a write-up about the game courtesy Thuddert, which was used for the spotlight the game had a while ago in the RPG thread:

This looks boring. I'm willing to give it a shot because I could refund it worse case scenario but...this isn't very appealing.

Same here, the website and client won't load at all. I can see the store page but trying to access my wishlist or specific game pages just gives me an error message.

I am curious at what point does the 'disappointing discounts' drum result in declined numbers in the sale data graphs. Or does the sheer amount of Steam users keep the numbers high regardless.

Store is still dead for me

Also lol at calling 33% off a bad deal

Considering the near constant string of deals on PC games, and the number of outlets (GMG, CDkeys, Fanatical, Voidu, Wingamestore, Gamergate, etc.) then unless you want to play the game *right now* 33% is in context generally a "bad deal".

The latter. Steam has so many users locked in to their ecosystem that they could probably only do one sale a year and still make big money.

I hate the fact that season passes during these sales never go on sale or it's cheaper to buy the game + season pass package than just season pass. So annoying.

From my experience neither GMG nor Fanatical have a reasonable refund policy, especially GMG.

It was either flash/dailies or refunds, publishers were unlikely to back both, on my part I prefer refunds.

Nier Automata really didn't go on sale? God damn.

CDKeys has it for ~20 bucks right now, though, and that is tempting.

As someone with a lot of casual (well more casual than me) friends that play on PC, you'd be amazed how many people buy from Steam and only from Steam. Going to Humble, Fanatical or similar might as well be trying to launch a space shuttle to them.

Nier: Automata is one of my favorite games of all time. You should get it, and the FAR mod.

Can anyone recommend A Hat in Time or is there another 3D platformer that is better? I miss Banjo Kazooie.

I love Platinum and I've been following the game for a while, I was just hoping for some official PC support. Since the FAR mod does what I want and more, I'll probably be picking this one up.

Random question and doesnt necesaarily have to be games in this sale, but thought this may be the best place to ask:

I have a 5 year old son. Any good educational games out there? Would love some that would help him with reading in particular.

Xanadu Next is an action RPG with an emphasis on exploration and light puzzle solving. Early game you may want to level up a bit so that the first main dungeon doesn't overwhelm you but if you like Diablo-style gameplay and the exploration aspects of Legend of Zelda you may end up liking it.
Mind you, at the time Falcom were a generation behind every other developer when this game released, hence why it looks like a PSOne game :P

It's still a neat game and has a neat soundtrack
