We used to have flash deals and stuff. That was coolNope, they don't change. This will be the only price throughout the sale.

Dailies are not a thing anymore. If it's a price you can stomach then get it because the prices won't change. Be sure to check other digital stores you use just to be sure you're getting the best deal because it's rare that Steam offers the best sale price anymore.so this is my first summer sale, do the discounts change daily or deals? Like AC:O is 29.99, not bad, should I wait or pull? any chance it might get a better deal?
You say that as if that was the solution.

The store is a mess. Can't search, no recommendations...god damn.

Steam store doesn't work right now! :(

I personally miss the dailies, but haven't the sales made more money since Valve ditched them?

Hmm, I'd kind of rather not be stopped in the middle of a story, but it looks like they're targeting by end of summer for full release, so I might just get it and wait until then. Thanks for the heads up. Looks really interesting! It easily has 20+ hours of content atm if you do all the sidequests. The main story stops at around 50% in and that's what they have been working on.
Basically all areas of the game have been added and you can go through them and do quests and such. The main story is absolutely complete up to the point where it stops until they add the second half.
Yeah probably but that would only actually matter to me if I worked for Valve. It's not like I'll be buying a new Valve game they made from all that revenue anytime soon.I personally miss the dailies, but haven't the sales made more money since Valve ditched them?
There is no probably; far as ive seen over the past couple of sales, theyve been doing well with this method
God awful sale as always..most are just 33% off as the topic says, extremely disappointed.
How I miss previous sales where Steam and PC games in general were not as popular.
Xanadu Next is a phenomenal Action RPG by the maestros at Falcom, and at 50% off it's definitely worth price of admission.
The RPG Club will also be playing through it next month together so pick it up now if you want to join us!

Best option atm is to go to 'All Games' and filter them from therePossibly dumb question - can you not sort the Fanatical store by price or discount amount? Can't find any filters for it. Just want to see if there's any super cheap games that attract my interest...

Here is a write-up about the game courtesy Thuddert, which was used for the spotlight the game had a while ago in the RPG thread:
Store is still dead for me
Also lol at calling 33% off a bad deal
Same here, the website and client won't load at all. I can see the store page but trying to access my wishlist or specific game pages just gives me an error message.

Yep, this. You're just playing yourself if bite at bad discounts like 33% unless you just REALLY want it.Anything less than 50% and you may as well just buy the game from CDKeys.

The latter. Steam has so many users locked in to their ecosystem that they could probably only do one sale a year and still make big money.I am curious at what point does the 'disappointing discounts' drum result in declined numbers in the sale data graphs. Or does the sheer amount of Steam users keep the numbers high regardless.
Considering the near constant string of deals on PC games, and the number of outlets (GMG, CDkeys, Fanatical, Voidu, Wingamestore, Gamergate, etc.) then unless you want to play the game *right now* 33% is in context generally a "bad deal".
Not really. Depends entirely on the game.Anything less than 50% and you may as well just buy the game from CDKeys.

Nier Automata really didn't go on sale? God damn.
CDKeys has it for ~20 bucks right now, though, and that is tempting.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the movie coming out tomorrow :p
Nier: Automata is one of my favorite games of all time. You should get it, and the FAR mod.
Can anyone recommend A Hat in Time or is there another 3D platformer that is better? I miss Banjo Kazooie.
How's returns work on Steam again? Tempted to try out Borderlands 2 on my Macbook Pro but I'm concerned that the weak IGPU isn't up to snuff.
Wait, it isnt out in the US yet? Has been for a while in the UKI'm sure it has nothing to do with the movie coming out tomorrow :p
Xanadu Next is an action RPG with an emphasis on exploration and light puzzle solving. Early game you may want to level up a bit so that the first main dungeon doesn't overwhelm you but if you like Diablo-style gameplay and the exploration aspects of Legend of Zelda you may end up liking it.This looks boring. I'm willing to give it a shot because I could refund it worse case scenario but...this isn't very appealing.
