Penis Oreo having himself a decent couple of days.

Traded down 6 spots and picked up a 2nd rounder while the greatest GM in the world Dubutts only managed a 3rd rounder when he traded down. Dullard Dorion got better value lol.
Signed Wideman.
Hired a respectable AHL coach for the AHL team
Buying out Burrows.

It's the little victories with this franchise you got hold on to.

Let us all band together and post quickly to get off this fucking page

Fleeced by Benning. Yikes.

Speaking of Benning, Canucks are trying to resign Pouliot to a one-year deal and assuming that works out, all 8 defecemen from last year will be under club control (they're obviously resigning Troy Stecher). Now with Juolevi basically needing to make this year's roster and Benning legitimately believing Hughes has a shot at making it as well (it won't be hard), that means Canucks have potentially 10 defencemen, 6 LHD and 4 RHD. Edler isn't going anywhere, no one will want Pouliot, Hutton's value has been tanked so fucking hard, Green loves MDZ, Benning refuses to trade Tanev, Benning refuses to trade Gudbranson, Stecher is the heart and soul of our defence, Benning refuses to trade Biega, and Juolevi and Hughes are vitally important prospects. What the fuck is the plan with this defence??????

Edit: Benning better go after Duclair. He's young, he's good, and he allows for a Baertschi trade that absolutely needs to happen.
1. I wonder if Dahlen makes the team this year...
2. I'm leaning towards Hughes going back to college. More time for him to get a bit stronger whereas the NHL schedule wouldn't allow that. Juolevi in the AHL but available for call-ups. So maybe just one of those D need to get moved
3. Duclair's agent reached out to the Canucks but haven't heard anything yet. Duclair is pretty soft, right? Would he not be redundant in our system?

on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being most surprised, how surprised will you be when Tavares ends up signing with the Isles after all that?

This is probably for the best. He's no Girard after all.

Not only will JT sign in Long Island, he'll Stamkos it and do it before July 1.

He's resigning on Friday (June 29). Book it.

Ya'll undervaluing Patches like crazy. And no one hates him more than me. But he'll score 30 goals even on our busted ass team this year (I think last year was a blip and not the new normal) like clockwork. And hes never had a 1C. Put him on a team with a center, and even as a 30 year old, I could see him hitting 40 a time or two.

I think they'll stick him in the AHL this year honestly. Baertschi, Goldobin, Pettersson, and Leipsic will all be given a better shot. Then there's lineup rovers Eriksson, Gagner, and Gaunce. I just don't see it happening.

I'd prefer Hughes in college but he doesn't want to go there and I don't think management want him there either. AHL at a minimum is my bet. I can almost gurantee Juolevi will be on the team this year regardless of how he looks.

Duclar is redundant if Baertschi is around but I think Baertschi should be gone for an asset and we can keep the hopefully cheaper guy. Not a good shot of that happening though.

Lmao at that Habs-Islanders-Sabres trade for Patches. How many teams did Bergevin try to trade Pacioretty to?

Oh oh. Time to copy and paste for Manics.

EDIT:

Manics:

"Meh, not much a book it since everyone is expecting that anyway. Like tell me something we don't expect. My Joffrey Lupul call to the Habs is way more outside the box thinking.

Tell him I challenge him to an avatar bet that Tavares signs with the Leafs."

Great news Pikma, glad to hear your face surgery went well. And again, I am blown away by your courage. I can't even imagine transplanting the face of my archnemisis - a freelance terrorist and mass murderer! - on to my own body in order to learn the location of a hidden bomb from his brother/accomplice Pollux. That's wild. But please hurry, we don't want this bomb going off in LA while Tavares is doing his interviews.

The joke is that he's already slipped his offer under Tavares' hotel room pillow.

If we somehow end up with the 1st overall because Ottawa wanted Tkachuk...

People are underestimating the Leafs here. JT is obviously very impressed by the Leafs' full court press wooing. He'll take a reasonable contract long-term to join an exciting, young team with a winning pedigree. The draw of playing near where he grew up and leading the Leafs to glory cannot be denied.

This is probably for the best. He's no Girard after all.
His IES/60* is like 0.25 compared to Girard's 3.21

Dude, the term. Imagine yourself reading this post in 4 years, shaking your fucking head.

I agree about Dahlen, but it's up to him. He'll have the shot to outperform other forwards in September

I know that Hughes has said he's ready for the NHL, but I'm not convinced he and his family don't ultimately opt for college if they can't get confidence from Benning that he'll be in Vancouver come October. I don't think he wants to play in Utica over Michigan.

Shit forgot to keep you updated

Yes, surgery went alright! I actually had a pretty good hospital experience outside of the goddamn beds. It's the first time in my whole life I go through something like this and honestly expected worse in terms of treatment but nah, everyone was pretty supportive and caring.

Recovery has been a huge pain in the ass so far though...

I can't breath through my nose, can barely move my face because of how swollen it's gotten and have difficulty both speaking and eating because on top of the rhinoseptoplasty I got my uvula reduced in size, which is why the whole surgery lasted 3 and a half hours. My lips, mouth and throat are dry as fuck. I'm not in constant pain at least because of the medications but it does come every 6 hours or so.

But that will all improve soon thankfully, unlike my bank account which will be feeling the effects of this for years to come lol
That's good to hear. Hope for a speedy recovery.
