Do you guys buy incubators? I really wish there was another way to earn them.

When I played heavily back in the day incubators were the only thing I bought . And just this past week I ended up buying some yet again . It's such a waste of time to have so many eggs sitting there in an unhatchable state. I feel like the incubators are the one and only thing that really screams at me to drop money. Especially with as much walking as I do, it's the best source of dust, candies and rarer Pokemon all rolled into one.

I have over 350 Special Incubators on me currently. Yes, I do indeed buy them. lol

I only buy during events. Specifically when a box contains a great ratio for them compared to buying them normally. Last few times in past 2 months, they've been at such a great deal (Like 105 coins per S.I. compared to 200 normal), that I dropped a few hundred into the game and now I have a lot. Just a few weeks ago before the Water event I had over 400. These will last me till end of year easily. I never buy reg items anymore. Always bundles.

That 2 week water event: Hatched over 200 eggs btw.

All my coins go toward bundles that give me the best deals on raid passes and super incubators. I tend to prioritize raid pass deals because I go through those much faster than I do incubators.

Sweet, I just got a wild Alola Exeggutor now! I had just started playing when those emerged, so I didn't realize they'd virtually disappear and didn't really know about lvls yet. Or about the dragon medal. Wish I'd caught more and saved better ones at the time.

I'm happy if I can get more.

You all hatch so many. I just use my single incubator and hatch them one at a time, currently about to hatch my second Alolan egg.

I was talking about with real money, because the rate I can get incubators with coins earned from the gym are pitiful in terms of tryng to ever get through my eggs at a reasonable rate. And I still imagine it is pretty bad even if you are getting the max number of coins every day.

I also still have a bunch of bag space slots I want to expand.

if anybody's waiting on me, i've been hoarding gifts from you guys for those international eggs. slowly rolling through them as i hatch eggs.

i'm still trying to figure out the best mix of items from stops and gifts. while my play time has decreased with the end of the water festival.

seems the new social features really bumped up the activity of this thread.

I've come to the conclusion that too many friends is hard to manage with gifts. So hopefully no one is upset that I removed them. Going to try to keep it more local and others I've added.

Already down to like 90. Probably going to eventually try to get it closer to like 40.

Holy shit . And I thought I spent more than enough money for the year getting 30 of them. That's a drop in the bucket compared to you.

I only have 16, not trying to have too many more.

Niantic already makes it hard enough when they don't give some basic quality of life stuff to aid us with managing it.

I made a separate spreadsheet with 30 local trainers to focus on. I just do a column for the day, where I log sending or opening gifts. It makes things a lot better. Once those friendship levels separate out from the other 50 friends, it will be more manageable.

I'll still try and level up friendships from here when I can. You never know what they'll add to the gift giving mix in the future, plus it's nice to have eggs from far away.

Any tips on finding Ghost types? I'm stuck at 5/8 on the mythical quest. When I played before they would just appear at night but I haven't seen any since I started playing again. I walked around last week @ 11pm and found nada.

So Ghosts tend to spawn late at night or early in the morning so try going out early in the morning (before 8:00am)

You can get some nests (shuppets specifically) but other than that the other way to find them is spin all the stops each day to search for the '3 great throws' quest which rewards you with a Gastly encounter.

If you get up before 8 am, you will find them pretty easy to find. But nests will also likely be your best bet too.

Joni Zaphod79 GulAtiCa Thanks for the replies, I had a look on that Silph Road map and there's no ghost nests near me.

I guess I'll have to get up a bit earlier so I can go for a walk! No chance tomorrow though, tonight is beer night so I won't be getting up mega early haha

Try parking lots at night/early morning. They are generally densely populated with spawnpoints and you should be able to get a ghost or two by sheer spawn volume.

I think the gift opening limit should tie into levels. In my circle it's the level 40 players that really push the community in raids, we're more likely to be the raid spotters, posters, and organizers.

The higher level players really create the backbone, and other players should want to engage and bump up those friendship levels with people that are a constant at raids. The only problem is I can only open 20 gifts in a day. I'm usually sitting on around 30 gifts.

My proposed gift opening system would be.

Levels 10-20 15 gifts
Levels 20-30 20 gifts
Level 30-35 25 gifts
Levels 35-39 30 gifts
Level. 40 50 gifts

You reward the most active players and still engage the more casual player with the gift giving system and raid bonuses.

I'm also struggling to keep up with the gift giving. The 20 gift limit made sense when gifts were giving out a lot more items. They can easily raise that limit now without affecting item gain too much.

Whoever on here is in Romania and sent me a gift - I got my Vulpix out of it, so thank you.

Got Tropius today.

Just missing Lunatone, Torkoal, and Suicune (sigh). Lunatone I have a trade lined up for Monday.

So close
