My friends list is completely fucked. The only person I trade with constantly is stuck at 3 days from great friend, and my only great friend is stuck at great friend.

It seems likely the following two mystery prizes will be Moltres and Zapdos opportunities. Which is okay by me, I started playing (and my girlfriend started replaying) at the end of the Zapdos run as the research project.
I'll be on vacation in the boonies for Articuno and Squirtle. Raiding the former will probably be impossible. Catching a shiny Squirtle might be doable but thankfully from the water event I have enough candy to fully evolve one or two during the time window without otherwise participating.
I started playing again once they rolled out research tasks. Now I'm back in, trying to build up some friendships! I added myself to the doc, ready to do some work.
Woo! Meanwhile I'm still 2 days away from hitting great friend with anyone.....
Articuno was the first legendary released last year st Go fest.
I'm guessing the other two birds will follow after the other two global challenges.
It makes perfect sense if you're in the southern hemisphere!

It says five free raid passes though. At least that's something.
If I'm going at it hard I generally end up using 3-5 passes an hour depending on whether or not we can queue up enough raid sightings or have to stop to start scouting.
Oh, really, the syncing is totally screwed up. I just opened up a gift and got Great Friend level with you too, no idea how that works.
Tomorrow you'll want Falchion to open a gift from you and then he'll synch up to great friends.
Right now you want one person in the friendship to receive and open all the gifts until you reach a milestone. Then you want the person who had been sending to receive and open a gift and you'll then both be synched up.
In the seven day example, player A opens 7 gifts over seven days from player B to reach great friends. Only player A will see that they're great friends
On day eight player B opens a gift from player A and boom player B synchs up and will see the great friends status. You lose a day of progress as day eight won't add to the friend level.
If you've been alternating gifts you lose a day whenever the other player is synching up.
That makes sense, such a weird system to keep track of though.
I hope they fix it soon otherwise I might lose interest in getting to Ultra Friends with some
Niantic has said that it is not working as intended, hopefully they fix it soon and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a fix will be retroactive.

I think it's already kinda retroactive. I did a raid yesterday where my wife was great friends with me but my act was a day behind. But even though it says I'm not a great friend yet, it still gave me an extra ball.

You still lost a day on the day you synched up as it doesn't give you progress on a synch day. I've lost multiple days on some friendships because of the synch day.
People on the silph road were reporting that only the person showing great friend we're getting the extra premier ball.
If you get a random friend request it's mine. I added the first 6 I think for now. Only have 1 irl friend that still plays and I had 10 gifts to give.

Anybody know when those limited boxes expire? I'm gunning for the great box for the upcoming events.
To clarify, if I recall correctly the July 14-15 challenges will reward extra candy, not necessarily Rare candy for catches and hatches, right?

Probably through July 9th, the duration of the bonus event. There will probably be different boxes for the Go fest event.
Catches and hatches will reward more of the respective pokemon's candy, raids will give more rare candy.
Apparently Dortmund is having some log in issues, to the point where they expanded the increased spawns to be city wide. Hard to tell if it's a trainwreck or not yet.
I'm still thinking there's like a 25% chance Go Fest will be a massive fuck up again, although there seems to be a lot of safety measures in case it is (having the festival in a much bigger area, the ability to quickly change to city wide spawns if log in issues occur, and an extra day in case things get incredibly bad).

Snorlax. It can have Body Slam, which is a legacy move. May or may not be guaranteed since the wording was vague, but I'm guessing guaranteed.

Yeah I've definitely clicked on 60+ at this point, nothing. They were also popping everywhere but in the past 30 minutes I haven't seen 1. I hate this lol
