This is 100% true. The republicans took over the nation by running nation wide while Democrats fought over the glamorous positions. We need Democrats out there showing the populace that the republican party is anti-society. They want to coalesce wealth into a few hands and control everything. Democrats want parity and the ability for the average person to make a difference. We need people ready to run for all positions. They should never run unopposed. The demographic reality almost makes it a lock if we can just get candidates and get voters out there. Volunteer to canvass your neighborhoods with voter registration cards. Volunteer to take voters to the polls. We will win if we all vote. They don't want us to vote, because they know their kind is not long for the world. The current situation is the result of a dying, hateful, evil lashing out as it realizes that it soon will no longer be. We will conquer this.

OK, trying this again. From the Atlanta march today:

It started outside the detention center downtown.

From there, we marched past CNN, etc.

At one point I looked behind me and was impressed with the size of the turnout:

The fuck?

What the hell was she doing?
LOL I forgot to mention.

The challenge was "smash your face for $2K donation on your Bday Cake". A person donated that amount like 5 min later and Alicia smashed her face on her just deliver Bday cake. What all didnt know is it had some wood piece at the top to keep the stacks together...she bled a bit which at first she though it wasnt. Thing was hilarious. She is fine now.

Felicia's stream is up to almost $90K raised. Her guests right now include Jessica Chobot, Ashly Burch, and Jason Ritter.

Man I am really enjoying the stream. I applaud her, as a person and a parent (apparently she has a daughter now), to do this great work.

And now Cpt. Reynolds/Buck/Richard is with them! Ayy, he be Canadian, like me.

A wild Nathan Fillion just popped up on Felicia's stream. This really needs its own thread, it's really good.

I couldn't make it to the Oakland March as I'm recovering from a procedure but my wife and daughter went.

Here's my daughter (left) with her friend and her Hamilton-quote sign.

A pretty sound argument could be made for abolishing police and prisons, and has been for 200+ years by a lot of folks on the left. It would require a fundamental and radical change in the way society is structured though, and it isn't something that could be done immediately.

You could make a lot of sound arguments for stuff if you're willing to suspend certain eventual realities.

Couple of photos from Star Tribune (Minneapolis):

Packed at least 6 blocks. I'm proud of Minneapolis and anybody who marched today.

Just got back from the LA protest. Turnout seemed pretty good, but hard to tell from where I was. Great signs and atmosphere all around. Didn't really see any Trump supporters outside of a handful.

A lot of politicians spoke including Harris, Waters, Newsom, and Garcetti.

Jackasses on the stream flooding the stream with racial slurs earlier. People are such trash.

Star Tribune's comments were flooded with angry right wingers. Yet the march itself had only one anti abortion protestor from what I saw.

Don't attend marches and only argue online? Wow you're lazy!

Attend marches? Wow you're a hypocrite!

Seeing them get this angry gives me life. It makes me know that public assembly is worth it. We need to bring this momentum to the ballot box and they're scared that we will.

The NYC march was a struggle. Absolutely no shade and a long tiring walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. My SO and I are currently laid up in the dark with the AC cranked recovering. But it was great to have taken part.

Someone donated 2000$ for FD to smash her head in her birthday cake, she did and something hard hit her nose and she started to bleed profusely. She didn't break her nose, but she had to take a couple of minutes of to clean it up.
good lord. Never do random stunts on live camera!! At least she seems fine.

These videos. Felicia's got them connections.

If I had known the livestream was going to garner this much attention I'd have made it a separate thread. I figured a couple people might be interested as a kind of addendum to the protests. It's got less than 4 hours to go so it doesn't make sense to make a thread for it now. Damn you hindsight!

So I got banned from Felicia's stream from a mod because I said "idiots" when people flooded the on-screen game with slurs.

I think a mod thought I was referring to Felicia and everyone. Haha. :(

Went to the one in DC and everything went smoothly, save for the handful of anti-choice dipshits with a police escort that showed up right as the march was beginning.
