"No plans to tease, temper..." and "[a]ppreciate the years of hard work so many teams..." makes me think this is finally when the questions related to "Xbox has 23 studios, where are all the games at?" might finally be answered. So many of their studios started their games in 2018, 2019, and 2020, a lot are probably ready to start being shown. We know of two that have entered full production (Gears 6 and Compulsion's game). Xbox hasn't shot down the Fable rumors. There's just so much that can show up here... finally.

Is this it? I really freakin' hope so.

Hoping the Starfield Direct shows the game running on a Series X at 60fps🙏

Man, wouldn't that suck? A showcase with first party games that uses a bunch of CGI trailers that barely tells us anything? Yeah that would... suck...

Good on them for not doing that.

The one tweet there that raised an eyebrow for me, is declining to temper expectations at all. Which isn't the same as saying "all your dreams are about to become true people!", but does suggest they have a lot of confidence in what they are showing.

Kind of sounds good but I liked the whole 12 month target thing, Some games didn't make it but it made it feel like a more realistic showcase of what fans should expect that will come soon. Not whatever is out there long while.

"come with an open mind" is short for the show will probably not meet your expectations but enjoy it for what it is. in all seriousness, i don't play on xbox but its good to know they will show more gameplay (hopefully) especially after ps showcase lol

Well the floor is pretty fucking low so I hope Xbox knocks it out of the park in comparison I guess.

Any of Fable, Avowed, Perfect Dark, the Rare game, Senua and I'll be happy tbh.

Feel like Avowed and Contraband direct gameplay would be an easy guess at this point at least. And obviously Forza

But this probably also means no indiana jones then, was expecting a CGI trailer for that.

Really pumped for this showcase. Im expecting a great, packed show. I think it was really smart to let Starfield have it's own extended thing after Xbox, let Todd do his thing.

I'm just, I don't know… Xbox always has the "omg this is it, this is the year" hype moments then things just don't turn out the way they hyped it up to be.

Not getting my hopes up.

It feels like we haven't had a truly fantastic show from anyone in a very long time. Hopefully this is the one.

Starfield showcase will be an hour and thirty minutes with the Xbox showcase having five minutes of Elder scrolls online, infinite season 4, and some Minecraft related thing.

Would kill for one good showcase that doesn't have a handful of games that get canceled or end up being letdowns (redfall).

I mean, CGI trailers are usually used to announce new projects, while they have 7-8 already announced games (most of them in 2019-20), of course they will not show CGI for those games.

They have like 15 studios working on unannounced games. They could easily of used CGI to announce those. Glad they aren't.
