Mone has to win. Anything else would be malpractice.

Willow vs Mercedes III with Willow going over should be the endgame. But for that to work, and for Mercedes to feel like a big deal, especially after you debuted her two months too early, she has to go over at DoN.

Willow rules and should be in the top title picture by the end of the year. If she's not, she'll have been Orange Cassidy'd after the Mox match at All Out 2023.

PPV attendance excluding Revolution has been saddening, felt like you could always count on 10k+ for every PPV but now it seems like they get 7 or 8k if they're lucky :(

I'm thinking Mone wins the title tomorrow, Willow moves on to the Womens World Title at All In.

The potential for the women's division could get even better if they decide to bring up Athena from RoH and have her start chasing the main titles.

It also doesn't help that AEW tickets have gotten expensive. I'm waiting for the prices for the Dynamite coming to Colorado to go down because I'm not paying what they're asking just yet. And that show is half full.

Mercedes winning would bum me out. Couldn't care less what they spent on her. Willow is better everywhere and makes for a much better face of the company/network.

Also I concur that ticket prices are outrageous. Finally had my chance to be front row for the upcoming Buffalo show and heck no was I paying what they were asking. And then I browsed other ticket prices and holy fuck it's crazy expensive everywhere.

I have no idea why they're so stingy with ticket prices. They used to be cheap and would sell a lot more...

What's crazy is I paid the same amount for my Dynasty ticket that I paid for Collision in January.

Its sunk cost fallacy, Mercedes Mone is a worst promo than Willow, has worst charisma than Willow but because TK paid top dollar for Mercedes, he has to push her to a championship despite both Toni Storm, and Willow being more over than Mercedes.

I love Willow to death, but she's not on the level of being able to use that belt to elevate the division the way Mercedes can.

And I still feel like Statlander is going to screw over Willow which should lead to a long feud. During that time, I say let Mercedes show off during the summer. Willow can start going after the Women's title in due time.

I think if Mercedes keeps doing what she's doing while winning matches that she will become the biggest actual heel in the women's division. Not the "we're respectuflly booing you to play along" heel. The "Fuck her we're going to cheer loud as hell when someone hurts you" kind of heel. That reaction for the power bomb through the table was HUGE.

Right now there doesn't really seem to be a big one of those. They kept flip flopping with Deeb, Nyla was banished to ROH, Deonna is leaning into it but isn't there yet. No one is going to boo Toni Storm. Mariah May has potential to be another huge one if she turns on Toni to join the Outcasts or some shit. She'd probably be better off as a solo act though.

Heel Willow can not work ever. Heel Statlander could be a thing but I think people love her too much to boo her consistently. Britt and Jamie Hayter aren't getting booed for a while after they return. Julia Hart kind of has that thing where people play along and boo her for doing asshole-ish shit but at the same time she's a home grown talent that keeps getting better in the ring so it's hard to want to root against her. Skye Blue as a heel still makes no sense to me because she's in the same boat as Julia Hart.

Who else is there that's getting reactions? Help me please. I don't want to forget about anyone. I miss Bunny damn it.

The idea they should beat her in her first match because she's not a great promo when everyone knew her best work was in the ring is wild. Even regardless of how much she cost that's no way to build anyone.

Big Bill has been so entertaining under the Learning Tree.

Also, if I was Tony Khan, I'd run audience surveillance with an iron fist and if some shitass losers were just there to get their scumbag dickhead signs over and then be on their phones instead of watching Pac and Willow etc, I'd go full Ace Rothstein in Casino on them and get security to carry them out of the building using their heads to open the fuckin door. Lifetime ban on their asses.
Are you talking about the Jim Cornett signs that are always there?

I've been saying this for a long time now. I assume it will get better once they get their TV deal, but their marketing and advertising is very lacking.
The crazy part is, for PPVs they are doing decent day one numbers, but then ticket sales are just dead. DoN had something like 5k tickets sold on day one and it's only going to wind up at 7k. AEW used to have massive upticks as an event got closer but that seems to have largely stopped. It's very concerning.

Here's what I want to see from the TBS title match. Mercedes wins thanks to some heel work. Stat does not turn, but Megan Bayne shows up as Mercedes' heater and beats everyone down, including Stokely. Then Britt Baker AND Jamie Hayter come out and save the day. Too much?

There's also a lot more PPVs so they are less destination events.

This one also lacks that 'yes I absolutely have to be in the building's match theast few had (Ospreay vs Danielson and stings final match)

Bayne's supposedly been on ice for retweeting/liking some shit that painted TK in a very negative light. She has approximately zero mentions or likes about anything AEW related on her twitter aside from random Mariah May pictures.
I wouldn't be shocked if she never appears for AEW, just sits her contract out and goes to Marigold. I think SRS is dropping some news on her today as well.

(obviously things may have changed too, who knows)

I can't wait for this show! Man... I'm really excited for Fenix's PPV return, the chaos of Anarchy in the Arena, another chance for Takeshtia to steal the show, and a fantastic assortment of quality womens wrestling.

I figured we might as well get this ol' quiz going. If anything happens to change at Collision tonight, then just look forward to an updated quiz for an updated card tomorrow. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Megan Bayne could finally be on her way back to AEW.

Bayne has been under AEW contract for years, as she was sidelined with an injury for quite some time, but put under an AEW deal. At the urging of AEW management, she sought out additional bookings after returning, and became a standout in Stardom. We're told that at long last, she could be headed to AEW. We've also confirmed that she is with the company still.

Fightful Select has learned that creative pitches have been made for Bayne, for a possible re-debut in All Elite Wrestling. Early indications were that she would be in a heel role. Bayne last appeared in AEW in June 2023 in a dark match.

The 25-year old has been back in the United States for several months and working independent dates for GCW, Limitless and others.

I'm honestly pretty shocked by the number of people I'm seeing say that the good booking would be to have Malakai beat Copeland.

I do not want Malakai holding a singles belt.

(There should be a ton of shenanigans in this match. From both sides.)

Between the blood drop and personality stuff, it would be odd to then have him lose the belt to the guy that panic flopped.

Copeland Wins. Or he doesn't. My sure things are Swerve and Toni winning. Maybe Ospreay.

Anarchy in the arena is an actively bad match to watch in person is the issue. You'll watch half of it on tv.

Mone should have been a bigger deal and they finally got some heat on it late I'll agree there

Stadium Stampede at Wembley was a mess in person. It felt more like birdwatching than wrestling, oh OC is over by the ramp now, wow Penta changed his clothes, now someone's mom is driving a car. The only match of the night that I really didn't enjoy on any level.

Bleh the Mone match is the least appealing unless there is some swerve. Willow has been amazing and Mone will come in, win and act like she deserves it fake crying like some rigged Miss America pageant winner while doing her spastic dance that makes Daniel Garcia look like Usher.

I really hope I am wrong and she really does put in work making the roster look the best they can be.
