They did explain it poorly because I only understood what was going of half way though. I do like that format that. It keeps it interesting.
I agree, the format is fun. But please don't just do a new match and skip the explanation, it did zero favors for those involved in the match. But the surprise Ospreay pop was the loudest of the night
Oh yeah I don't know when they explained it. Maybe it was the audio issues but I missed it. I texted my friend and he qued me in.
They didn't explain it. The commentators before the match said Justin Roberts would explain the rules, but he didn't.
Kyle Fletcher has now had super competitive matches with Ospreay (their biggest new star) and Swerve (the newly crowned champion). I like Fletcher just fine but I agree, he should NOT be booked this strongly. Like cool he can put on a banger, he doesn't need to be booked like a juggernaut kicking out of finishers multiple times.
Yeah, the GMSI is better for this then a Rumble / Royale. The main problem is it would be insane if you had 30 people in this. Even 10 might be too many, but anything over 10 just escalates in terms of ridiculousness.
They're not a waste of time, though, as it indicates clear power levels / helps focus the audience on certain people to watch out for. It may not be necessary for you, but a lot of viewers need to be actively told / indicated to who the up and comers are and who's a threat etc.
TBF, I (and probably most people) watched Dark just for Excalibur and Taz bullshitting for an hour.
Yeah, it not being a big deal for you is fine and even good :). I want AEW to do the best it can, though, since I want the best competition between all the companies.
