'All That' star Lori Beth Denberg says Nickelodeon's Dan Schneider showed her porn, initiated phone sex, and lashed out on set

Nickelodeon execs knew about Dan Schneider's "abuse and mistreatment" for years and failed to protect actors, Lori Beth Denberg says.

During her four seasons starring in "All That" between 1994 and 1998, Denberg said Schneider put her in countless uncomfortable situations. She said he lashed out at her on set, played porn for her on multiple occasions, and once initiated phone sex. Denberg said that looking back, she's disturbed by the power imbalance between herself and Schneider, who was a decade older than Denberg and one of the most powerful people working on "All That."

...Schneider started showing her clips of pornography on his computer. The "grand finale," Denberg said, was a video in which a woman performed oral sex on a donkey.

One night, when Denberg was around 20 or 21, she said things became physical. Denberg said they were watching "Jeopardy!" at Schneider's home and made a bet on who could get the most answers correct. The winner would get a massage. But when Denberg won, she said, Schneider also fondled and put his mouth on her breasts.

This is pretty horrible to hear. She was over 18, but the power dynamic is still there.
She tried to warn higher ups but they were friends with Dan and did nothing it looks like.

Awful. It's no wonder she quit the industry. In my mind, she had as much star power coming off All That as Amanda, etc. The last thing I remember seeing her in was a very small role in Dodgeball.

His statement is...dear god.

In a statement to Business Insider, Schneider, now 58, said Denberg's accusations are "wildly exaggerated and, in most cases, false."

"As I have previously stated, there were times, particularly in the early years of my career, that I made mistakes and exhibited poor judgment as a leader," Schneider said. "If I did that with respect to Lori Beth, I sincerely apologize to her. But I cannot apologize for things I did not do."

Gross. I am glad all these things are getting brought to the surface, but it's still cringe every time I read a new one pop up.

Agreed. She was crazily talented. Who would want to work in an industry where you've always been around sleazeballs though.

I remember Lori Beth being one of the standout actors on the show, even as a kid. Such a shame the people around her failed her (and all the rest of the cast) like this.

No wonder she left the industry. So many scumbags in the industry I would want to leave too. I hope the experience didn't do any permanent damage.

Is this the first explicit accusation against Schneider?

Yeah, previously the most that we'd heard about was unwanted shoulder massages. But people have skirted around saying anything explicit about him because of the potential lawsuits that would follow. He's already suing the producers of the Quiet on the Set documentary because he argues that they implied things about him. So it's going to be interesting to see if he goes at Lori Beth given that she makes outright specific claims about him.

Hopefully dont hide behind that fact when the signs were all over the place.

Oh no, I know he's clearly a creep, but there was never anything (to my knowledge) that could be made to stick as an accusation, that was my question really.

Damn, hopefully more suits come up against him and he doesn't get away with it.

God damn scumbag.

It pisses me off even more when I realize there were a bunch of great actors who I saw as a kid who just seemingly vanished, and now I know why.

This is the same guy who hired Brian fucking Peck and had to have known about what he did. Plus, I read on a different thread that apparently Schneider had a camera on set and wanted to take pictures of some cast member's feet, and the parents were okay with it.

This fake screenshot spread around like 10 years ago. But considering everything, I'd now be a lot more likely to believe she said something like this.

Wasn't he just going on about how he was totally innocent and Quiet on the set painted him in a bad light?
I thought he said something more like he never touched anyone inappropriately, basically phrasing it in such a way that he can still stand by that statement even with these allegations but that doesn't make him any less vile or make any of this behavior ok.

Also glad to see other fans of Lori Beth here. She and Kenan were always the stars to me.
