Yeah I think Red Letter Media got hit very badly by this a while back and so did other casual channels.
Swearing = no ads = no money.
I legitimately find a bleeped swears funnier than outright hearing them. So this is a plus to me.

I recall the reason why AVGN got rid of the theme song was due to it violating the 'no swear words in the first 30 seconds or else you'd get demonitized' rule, so he replaced it with a chiptune variant, which I honestly prefer actually lol

I don't like censorship in general and for someone like AVGN it's a very odd choice as his swears are part of the appeal to him.

I haven't watched TV/cable in years, but in Canada swears are totally okay after 9pm. I remember watching Casino and since it's a longer movie, it would usually start at 8pm and the second 9pm hit, Joe Pesci was let loose. Post 9pm was never commercial free. Why is the criteria for what the ad is next to different on TV vs Youtube?
