🤤
The other one, that stood out to me, was Fern throwing hers away because of the blood.
(The gif doesn't give the whole scene justice.)
I just read these chapters and they're both like one panel each.

Spoilers: Kaiju No.8 doesn't feature at all. Which is the way it should be.
Questionable ratings aside, this little video popped up in a my feed today - a good way to check in on songs you may have overlooked.
My Top 40 Spring 2024 Anime Openings
imagine waiting for the demon slayer opening to make this video only for it to be the weakest demon slayer OP to date. still good, though. as for this season...www.youtube.com
Personally, Sentai's and Wind Breaker's OPs are just far and away the best songs this season.
I think that was 8? 7? Maybe?Never seen a rankings video that was even remotely agreeable. Skipped to top 5 and didn't see Loser Ranger so the rest is invalid :P
Girls Band Cry at number 4, I'll take it. Dunmeshi's second OP has really grown on me a lot too.Questionable ratings aside, this little video popped up in a my feed today - a good way to check in on songs you may have overlooked.

Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hashira Geiko-hen - 01
Eh... sure was a long ass 50 min episode...
So far everything was pretty boring
'Annoxplosions' are SO lovely! The combination in one project of two FX animation masters; Mr. Anno & Mr. Masuo, that influenced each other since the Studio Graviton days, gave us a lot of amazing cuts. Poor Shōichi Masuo, gone too soon, but his work remains appreciated:
I thought it was great that they finally explain what the hell is going on with the story...part of it anyway.Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hashira Geiko-hen - 01

For real! It hit me again in ep 11, when the elf monk puts on his coat. It's not as flashy as those other two examples, but here I was impressed by the details in the way he does is. How he holds it and changes hands and so on. For basically no reason!I just read these chapters and they're both like one panel each.

This is me with them and anything idol related with a hint of drama is this "oshi no koi ? "Feels like Date a Live is about to make me start drinking again
The first broadcast of "Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc" will be "episode 0" looking back at famous scenes from the past with new animation.
Perfect Origin Arc begins broadcasting in July, studio: Production I.G
Episode 0 stills:
Not Shocked by this but very pleased it's confirmed to be happening. For anyone who doesn't know the old Toei anime was in the era where they changed and shifted a bunch of stuff so I'm sure this is both to clean up continuity for fans of that and probably as a light recap for newcomers(hopefully they include his wedding… since the original show basically cut his future wife down into a cameo character even removing her intro arc and the proposal while putting 2 other characters girlfriends into her roles in the major arcs)

Mewzard SilentStorm Mekanos
Pony canyon is the distributor(they're a Japanese group that's global. Kinda like VIZ), and they've been doing tweets in English teasing a western release. So it's likely coming west, we just don't know who they licensed it to yet. I'd bet crunchy or Hidive. Crunchy licensed the very weird and niche Snack Busue from PC last season.Looks really good. Shame it doesn't seem to have a distributor in the west.

Super Cub 11-12 END
Holy shit, what the fuck was Koguma thinking. Why didn't Shii call her dad? Call 119? Why would you not immediately take her to the hospital???? Why would you have her in the front of your cub when it's cold as shit after she fell into the lake????? What the fuck???
Koguma took the "Super" Cub a little too literally.
Episode 12 was nice and comf, was there an episode before that? I don't remember. I had no idea that Japan had a desert. Shii has a cub now!
That was a great, comfy time. Just gonna go ahead and erase episode 11 from my memory, felt like a fever dream compared to the rest of the series.
@chrominance, if your beef with this series is from episode 11 then I completely understand loooool
Yooooo, that is completely valid because it's so true. Especially compared to the Laid-Back Camp examples, Koguma and by extension Reiko really have no character outside of their cub.lol
It's mostly that, but also
I just didn't like how the show basically says Koguma is worthless without her Cub. Like she's sad and lonely and thinks she's useless until she gets the Cub, and then it becomes her entire identity and she only gets her friends because of her Cub, and the show ends with them indoctrinating another girl into buying a Cub because it implies that she NEEDS one to not only fit in, but to literally be alive because her bike nearly killed her. In some ways this behavior feels indistinguishable from a cult.
Contrast this with Yuru Camp, where the girls have actual personalities and lives outside of camping, don't derive their entire sense of self-worth and identity from camping, and even encounter bumps on the road while camping to show it's not all roses and kittens. Plus they often talk about how to do stuff on the cheap and where it makes sense to cut corners and where it doesn't, so while the show has this fundamental consumerist push towards what can be an expensive hobby, at least they recognize that high school students don't have a lot of spare cash and you don't NEED the super expensive equipment at all. Camping is a thing the girls in Yuru Camp like to do. Koguma IS her Super Cub. She is nothing without it. Worse, she BELIEVES she would be nothing without it.
I get that Super Cub is literally a Honda advertisement, but I don't care why the show exists, I wanted the show to be good. If the advertising gets in the way of it being a good show, I'm not going to call it a good show anyways just because I knew going in that it was an ad.
There, that's my Super Cub rant, I'll shut up now lol

Saying it's like a cult is soooo true, because nothing in episode 11 makes any goddamn sense unless you believe that a Super cub is the only way to do anything, like Koguma.
You kinda opened my eyes a bit more to this lol. I'm sorry for doubting you 😂
The color shifts were an amazing touch, probably the best thing about the series (I don't want to believe that it's manipulative 😖). And Koguma's smiles 🥺I will say though that if you can set all that stuff aside, it is a cozy show still. And I appreciated some of the stuff they did, like the colour shifts (though because they're in service of you-know-what it can come off as somewhat manipulative as well).
I didn't watch Laid-Back Camp until recently so I didn't have anything to really compare Koguma to before, and just wanted her to basically be kinder to herself, that she doesn't need a motorcycle to make friends or feel more attached to the world and the joys of being in it. But now that I have seen Laid-Back Camp, I basically feel like Rin is everything I wanted Koguma to be.
Djinn: I actually like the ending of Gunbuster. Very memorable and emotional.
shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeettttttttttt

Curious to see what scenes they cover, hopefully broader than just the final fights of each arc(since the only confirmed one so far is the Phoenix man fight). Tho the obvious first real fight to pick would be Suguru versus Robin Mask. The dream tag fight against Neptune man and big the budo feels like an obvious pick considering it's relation to this arcs plot.A smart idea for potential new fans. I hope the old Ultimate Muscle audience catches wind of it. The more love it gets, the better.
I'm still expecting Odin's ghost to pop up at some point.the Irregular 07
something something infightings of JDF God-kun is getting overworked to the point hes suggesting just nuking stuff something something "onii-sama only care about me " those moments truly keep me reminded on what this show actually is about at the end of the day lol
laid back 7
best episode yet had a good enough amount of food ready
groaned at first with the flashback since it meant our girl wouldn't be around but they did such a fun crazy twist on it also her chiming in as though it was a new years program was great !
salad bowl 07
guy just wants to gamba gamba life
that ending was both expected and unexpected with the way things were going
